About
Love Letter and Wine Box Ceremony
This unique wedding ceremony has inspired me to make personalized wine boxes made from reclaimed Minnesota wood.
The Love Letter Ceremony is used in lieu of the unity candle and sand ceremony. The wedding couple writes a love letter to each other and seals it in an envelope. During the wedding ceremony the minister asks that their love letters be placed in the wine box, locked (or nailed) and placed in an prominent location in their home. On their wedding anniversary, open the wine box, read the love letters to one another and toast to the marriage. Ideas of items to add to the box: dried rose petals, pictures, wedding vows and letters from parents. The wine box becomes a treasured wedding time capsule. Repeat every year.
