Facilities and Capacity

From large extravagant celebrations to smaller more intimate wedding ceremonies, the museum is capable of hosting any type of event regardless of size, style, and atmosphere. For couples looking to make the most of the museum’s gorgeous interior as well as the stunning Texan sun, the Prassel Auditorium is great for large ceremonies and wedding receptions that run long into the night. The 3,300 square-foot event space includes the adjoining veranda and outstanding courtyard area glittered with delicate flowers and trees. The auditorium features a permanent stage, a large dance floor, and many audio and visual capabilities. Additionally, the auditorium opens up to the foyer and main hallway which is also included in the event space. Other event spaces include the marvelous Mays Family Center which can seat up to 750 guests in a banquet hall-style or an additional 1,250 guests using the exquisite outside garden space along the San Antonio River. Additional facilities available include the H-E-B Body Adventure educational facility for kids of all ages, the Memorial Auditorium event space, and an array of exhibits.
