Facilities and Capacity
Set inside a beautiful, historic mill, Gathering by Woodberry Kitchen's space can accommodate up to 130 people. The spectacular main room features vaulted ceilings, original brickwork, and elegant design touches, with curved brick archways framing French doors that open onto a tented patio, creating a weatherproof indoor-outdoor flow. A private lounge tucked away upstairs includes a get-ready suite and connects to a grand staircase, perfect for dramatic entrances. If desired, the more intimate Tavern can be used to enlarge event capacity or rented for after-parties.
Services Offered
Gathering by Woodberry Kitchen presents menus sourced from the region's finest organic and sustainable farms. Your guests will enjoy the freshest seasonal produce, pastured meats and poultry, hand-selected fish and shellfish from the Chesapeake and nearby Atlantic, and gourmet ingredients from their maker community. Some of these include world-class cheeses, oils, and vinegars. Unlike many venues that utilize caterers, your meal will be cooked to order and served fresh and hot, steps away from the kitchen. The in-house bar takes the same approach. The team offers classic and creative cocktails made with the highest quality local and regional spirits. In addition, their experienced bartenders select wines from local growers and international winemakers who embrace organic or biodynamic viticulture. Essential event rental and extra amenities will also be provided.

Woodberry delivers
old brick walls, to the industrial concrete floor to the solid wall of glass. If you wanted to have
a conversation with another guest and still view the mad dancing in the main salon, sit on the terrace
and feel connected as the wall of glass provided a quieter space with visual access. If you preferred
to be around the main bar, the taverns vibe was young and cozy. All three spaces provided a
circular flow.
We contracted with Yolanta at Woodberry to provide “day of wedding planning services”.
She made sure all of my daughter’s extras such as the large seating chart to the special photo area
to the pong table to the wood for the firepit and all of the other guests’ amenities were in place.
She then packed it all up for a family member to take away at the end of the evening. Her service
was invaluable. Oh, and the food! We chose Family Style, which our guests loved. They did not
have to choose between the famous Woodberry chicken or the crab cake, they could have both.
The entire staff was exceptional, somehow aware of anytime a guest needed something and
providing it immediately. I would highly recommend this venue.
