Y.Lo was kind enough to cater our wedding last week at the Artwork Network in Denver, and we could not be more thrilled with how wonderful of a job they did. I worked with Zoe, who was not only incredibly sweet and helpful, but also willing to and help me make decisions where I was clueless (what color napkins? Zoe says let's go with dark gray - fantastic!). At some point prior to the ceremony, my mother started referring any and everyone with questions to her, which she of course handled beautifully (sorry about that, Zoe).

During a somewhat chaotic lead-up to the wedding (where's my family? stuck in traffic? did anyone bring the flowers? what's even going on right now? etc.), Zoe and her team arrived early to set up, and did so without me even realizing they were there. The food was fantastic (we had a buffet of chicken and beef kabobs plus dessert bites!) and they did an awesome job of setting up our ceremony space, flipping it to the reception space, clearing plates and ultimately cleaning up (the venue looked like we had never even been there!). They were truly FANTASTIC with their service, and incredibly affordable on top of it all (believe you me, I spoke to a lot of caterers before realizing Y.Lo could not be beat)!

I can't say enough good things about Y.Lo (especially Zoe!!); we highly recommend them!!

Like the previous review, we used Y Lo for our wedding catering at Artwork Network. We had a morning wedding and served pancakes, eggs, bacon, and fruit. The food was delicious and the presentation was second to none.

I didn't have the experience that the other reviewer did, however. Unfortunately, our buffet was running out of food after about 100 people with about 30 people left. We were working with Michelle and before the wedding, we actually increased our servings to 150 to ensure that we had surplus--but that did not happen. The staff seemed not present throughout the day. There was nobody tending the buffet. Beverages kept running out. When it came time to cut our cake, there was a miscommunication and our pancake cake was not on our table when it was supposed to be. (Our DJ says "turn to the sweetheart table for the cake cutting..." ...and yeah..no cake...a little awkward...). Fortunately our wedding was pretty laid back, so I don't think the guests were too concerned..but still.

I think a lot of these issues could have been prevented if communication was better. Any time I would send Michelle an email, I would always get an auto-response message saying she was unavailable, and would get back as soon as possible. I guess I just didn't feel valued. I felt that they did a sufficient job, just enough to get by, but it wasn't flawless.

And when you are paying top dollar for pancakes and eggs...I feel like the service should be remarkable.

We contacted the owner after we got back from our honeymoon, and they were flexible and apologetic. They did accommodate us to make up for what had happened on our day.
