About
Built in 1878, the Ypsilanti Freighthouse originally served as the distribution center for rail-bound goods. Now owned by the city of Ypsilanti and operated, managed and cared for by the Friends of the Ypsilanti Freighthouse, the facility serves as a gathering space for private and community events alike.
From Threads All Arts Festival, non-profit galas, First Fridays Ypsilanti events, and town hall meetings to personal milestones like weddings, anniversaries, reunions and graduation parties, the space plays host to a myriad of celebratory moments in the lives of Ypsilanti's diverse community.
