My name is Amanda. I'm 34 years young and so is my fiancรฉ Hank. We met freshman year of high school but at that time we were just friends as our lives would take us in different directions over the next decade. Hank served eight years in the Marine Corps and I worked in a brick and morter jewelry store in our home town. When we were in school there was a definite spark between us but he was too scared to ask me out! ๐ years later he returned home & the rest is history. We have been together for 5 years now this September & loved eachother since we were 14. It is "simply meant to be" โค we also share 4 furkid chihuahuas ๐ถ & a cantankerous cat ๐

Wedding details
We are "tying the knot" literally in a handfasting ceremony on October 24th, 2020 exactly a week before Halloween therefore we have chosen to host a Hallowedding. We are encouraging our family & friends to come in costume (my ring barrer is going to be the cutest Eddie Munster EVER). WE ARE NOT pagens. We both along with both our families love Halloween more than Christmas! ๐ I have purchased two wedding dresses, one is white for our "normal" wedding photos and the other is the EXACT same dress in black that I will wear for the candlelit ceremony with my face painted. The venue will be decorated with carved black & orange pumpkins and we will be tying in other traditional fall decor (mums, leaves etc) along with Halloween themed decor. As I stated before we will be having a handfasting ceremony as my fiance and I both share Irish roots. The tradition dates back over 2 thousand years. For those of you who may not be familiar with this, the couple stands hand-in-hand in front of their guests and our hands will have ribbons draped over top of them as we agree to our vows. We have asked close friends & siblings to participate by draping one ribbon each across our hands to involve those we love to participate in our special day. Once all ribbons are wrapped, we take the ribbons closest to our hand & tie our knot thus sealing our vows. (Where the term "tying the knot" comes from.) ๐ I know my wedding is completely untraditional but that is OK all of the family is excited about it and so are we!
