Well, our story started very typically. I was an nineteen year old college student home for summer vacation, when I decided to break up with my boyfriend because he could not stop cheating on me. With plenty of time on my hands, I decided to get a job. I never worked at a restaurant before but I figured it would be quick easy $ and they would not miss me when I went back to college. So, I went into my local Italian restaurant and applied for a job. Since I had no experience, they hired me to serve custard in their custard stand attached to the restaurant. My first day, I walked in and saw 2 hot guys working in the kitchen and ,I of course, I thought these could be good. The first guy was a tall blond and the second guy was a tall dark hair guy with an Italian accent. The next day, I came back and talked to one of the younger female cooks that had trained me the day before the 2 guys that were in the kitchen. One, she said, had just quit and the other had gone on vacation for a month. So awesome (sic). I worked in the kitchen and the custard for a long boring month, when one day I heard a big laugh and the tall Italian guy came bouncing into the kitchen. I can still remember the smile on his face and the double take look that he gave me, me standing there with a big knife cutting onions instead of being in the custard stand. (It was so boring in there, I would help out with other jobs around the kitchen so I would not be bored.) So it took about 1 week for him to acknowledge that I existed. He would just said hi and bye and then I wore short short shorts to work and everything changed. (He still talks about those damn shorts) I walked into the kitchen from the custard stand with a oversized jar of hot fudge sauce. I need to use the big can openner attached to the table to open the jar. I was just about to use when he grabbed the jar out of my hand and opened it for me. Of course, I was completely insulted and preceded to them he so and he just smiled. From then, we began to have actual convesations and learned about each other. I learned that he was not Italian but Turkish and he learned that I would be leaving to go to school in a month. SO that is just the begining, our relationship has had sooooooo many ups and downs and we are going against the odds but I always will bet on us.
