This venue and Rebecca were absolutely amazing! We were worried our ceremony and reception would be negatively impacted by Covid, but 409 made it super easy even with some new regulations added. Our wedding went even better than I could’ve dreamed up! It was the first time we felt normal in awhile, and It wouldn’t have been possible with any other venue. I highly recommend not only because of the great customer service, also because of the beauty of this vintage repurposed venue!

The management was great to work with and the venue is gorgeous. My guests were very impressed.

409 S Main has been a dream venue space. On top of the space being stunning...it is very versatile from a room set up standpoint and the lounges are wonderful for getting ready for the big day. On top of that, the event staff was wonderful to work with. I would recommend this space over and over again.

The moment we entered the venue we knew this is where my daughter's wedding reception would be. The venue is absolutely beautiful and Rebecca is a complete joy to work with. We could not have been more happy with everything about 409 S Main.

This venue is unbelievable--the owner, Rebecca, is very accommodating, and there's so much space you can arrange and dress up however you'd like!

What's more, 409 S. Main also offers three features you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere else:

First, it provides something that's hard to find in the mid-South: a warehouse-like space that's not fussy or frilly! We were looking for a place that could go modern and clean, and 409 S. Main was perfect! (Although you could also go rustic or industrial--as I said, it's flexible!)

Second, as of April 2017, there were no required vendors--a huge plus if you ask me! That way you can pick the food and flowers (and everything else) that YOU want--you can save lots of money this way by shopping around, or you can spend more on the elements that really matter to you! Don't want a one-size-fits-all wedding with the same food and flowers everyone else gets? Book here!

Third, all of this is on offer RIGHT DOWNTOWN. Midtown and East Memphis are lovely, as are Germantown and Cordova, but if you want your wedding to truly, unmistakably feel as though it's in Memphis AND NOWHERE ELSE, then this is a terrific bet--it's literally right across the street from the National Civil Rights Museum, less than a mile from the world-famous Peabody and Rendezvous, and a couple of blocks from Central BBQ, Beale Street, and the Mississippi River! The access this venue provides to these landmarks is second-to-none.

I can't express how happy we were with every aspect of this venue--visit for yourself to see how amazing it is--you won't be sorry!

This venue is gorgeous. The owners have put so much love into renovating the upstairs space. It is the perfect venue for a downtown wedding. It captures the roots of the south main district perfectly. And the owners are amazing - so sweet and accommodating! I am so incredibly glad we found this gem to get married at. <3

409 South Main is the perfect venue! Heather and Hunter were so awesome to work with. The space is beautiful and huge. 409 isn't like a lot of venues. They don't have an approved caterer list. Or very strict rules about what vendors you use. Being located on Main Street, it set the perfect backdrop for pictures.

409 South Main was a great place to get married. It's a huge venue with three floors. They really went out of their way to help make our wedding perfect. They are knowledgeable and resourceful on every aspect of the wedding process. They were easy to get in touch whenever we had any questions. We didn't have to worry about a thing, making our special day completely stress free! The venue offers a very cool and unique atmosphere, not the cookie-cutter wedding experience that many places we visited offered. Would definitely recommend this venue for any big event you may have!

This place is awesome and everyone has told me how perfect the space was for the reception and how much fun it was. Many people have said they have never seen anything like it and have never had that much fun at wedding before. Thanks for working with us so well and for all your help!

This was a great venue for a wedding. We were able to provide our own alcohol and caterer. They were also very easy to work with.

We loved this venue! They offer round tables, bistro tables and white folding chairs with the space for an additional $250 or maybe $350. The only thing i would say is negotiate to clean up the Sunday after, our families spent a lot of time coordinating this when really no one booked it, would have been fine to get there and clean up in the morning! We loved the space and the area to get ready is perfect too! Rebecca one of the owners/partners is really great to work with and answers very quickly. She helped us find vendors/meet whenever we needed to ETC.

Beautiful historical venue, although the hardwood floors have spots near the edges that have rotted over time (so don't step too close to the wall!). Management changed three or four times in between my signing the contract and my wedding, so things that were promised when I initially signed the contract (such as free access to the parking lot) were not still offered or available when the wedding came around. The website hasn't been updated in a long time, so some things are difficult to find (such as how many outlets there are, where they're located, and location of the pillars with measurements). Additionally, in our contract it stated that we would have access to the building at 8am the day-of, but nobody showed up to unlock the place until after 10:30. Other than the customer service and consistency leading up to the big day, the service of setup and flipping the rooms was excellent, and the actual building is a great place for a wedding! My recommendation would be to get everything in writing and email.
