We used the Ramp level for our reception and it was awesome. The venue offered so much value--from day-of coordination & assistance to ample time for set-up and clean-up to prep space and great photo locations. The space lends to a great party.
Only caution was that it got very warm by about 9:30 after people started dancing.

We had such an amazing time at 78th Street! We had our reception in the lower RAMP level venue, and it was incredible, beautiful- guests really really enjoyed the space. It's easy to dress it up, and the ability to do what you want with decor makes it so personalized and special.
Shout out to Maegen for being incredible to work with- the most chill, problem solver, calming presence- and the rest of the crew at 78th. Everyone was so accommodating and helpful.

We hosted our cocktail hour in HEDGE Gallery and reception in smARTspace and found both venues perfect and beautiful for our wedding! The staff was super easy to work with, and we were able to personalize the space how we liked. Our guests loved the unique aspect of the venue -- definitely not a "cookie cutter" ballroom feel (which is one of the many reasons why we loved it)!

We couldn't be happier that we decided to have our wedding reception at smART space at 78th street studios! Everything went perfectly. Molly was very kind, professional, responsive and addressed all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. She helped coordinate all of our vendors and was on top of all the fine details to ensure our day went smoothly. The venue is unique and looked beautiful for our summer wedding! We're so thankful for all the staff that made it the most memorable day for us!

We had our wedding ceremony at the Ramp Level venue at 78th Street Studios, and it was perfect! It's a really neat, unique space, and every employee we talked to or worked with was very communicative, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was also very reasonably priced! Several places we looked into for just the ceremony were going to charge us the full price for both a ceremony and reception, but 78th Street Studios has a rate for ceremony only, which we really appreciated!

We used this venue for our wedding reception. The staff at 78th Street Studios were absolutely amazing!! All their hard work, accommodations, and fantastic service provided us with the wedding reception I dreamed of. I couldn't recommend them enough. The fact we were able to bring out favorite food and drink vendors in was huge and made the experience even better. 10 out of 10 all around

We LOVED having our wedding in SmARTspace. It's certainly a DIY space, and they made that clear from the start. That also meant bringing in our own caterers, decor, etc. It was almost certainly more coordination on our end, but we were really happy to be able to bring our own vendor team together. The space itself looked fantastic. We had about 225 guests and used long 8' rectangular tables. There was still plenty of room for a high table, dance floor, food tables, cake table, DJ booth, and Kids drawing area. We particularly worked on lighting and did simple table decor which looked beautiful as the evening skies darkened.

We got married at 78th St Studios and it could not have been a better choice. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were in HEDGE Gallery and the reception was in smART Space. Hilary was amazing. She listened to what we wanted, was easy to get a hold of, had great ideas. She and her team were extremely helpful, and with her guidance our wedding ended up being gorgeous. Hilary made wedding planning easy. The venue is unique, and cool and so many of our guests complimented us on our choice and said that they had never been to a wedding like ours. We had an amazing time and are so happy with our decision. We had 110 guests and that was the perfect amount of space- although smART Space is larger and could have accommodated more people we did not feel as if the space was too big. 110 was the perfect size for our ceremony and cocktail hour in HEDGE.

78th Street was perfect for us. The pricing was reasonable and it is an extremely unique venue. We had compliments all night from our guests how they loved seeing the artwork and had never been to a wedding reception like this before. We were able to hire Hilary and Adam as wedding planners to help coordinate everything and make it go as smoothly as possible, which they did a great job of doing. They made the day and planning as stress free as possible. They seem to truly enjoy their job. Hilary was even able to do our flowers for us and helped design the whole space to our wants and needs. We couldn't recommend hiring them enough, they were amazing and easy to work with.

This is the most awesome venue for those diy brides! Fun art, awesome, large space, gorgeous windows and no tacky carpet!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the RAMP space and cocktail hour in the Pinball Lounge. The day was everything we wanted and the space was perfect for us. All of our guests loved the pinball lounge and the space in general. Everyone from the venue was so nice and great to work with. It was so nice we could drop everything off the day before the wedding and pick it up the Monday after so we didn’t have to worry about loading in and out on the day of the wedding. Overall was a fantastic experience and would recommend!

We had our wedding ceremony in the HEDGE Gallery, and reception in smARTspace. We loved both spaces, and are so happy we used these venues for our wedding. Doing a DIY wedding is great for these rooms. Hilary, the owner of HEDGE, is available (for extra cost) as an event coordinator and/or florist. She is amazing. Both rooms had a lot of character and ability to be customized. 78th Street Studios has a good selection of in-house rentals which are discounted. You will likely need to pay a set-up cost with their crew, but may let you set up yourself, which is what we did, for free.

Let me start by saying we love 78th street (obviously - we chose to get married there). However, I want to provide transparency for other couples that might consider that venue. There are a few key things that I would call out. The venue does not provide any movement of your set up during the event (so if you are a planning on doing the reception and the ceremony in the same place you might want to be aware of that). The space was also really hot - not great temperate control, and some of our guests were uncomfortable. And lastly (and this was very upsetting to my wife) the venue floors were filthy. So much so that it ruined her dress. Other than those things we enjoyed hosting the wedding there.

This is definitely a DIY space. They sell the space as is and are pretty up front about it. Our catering company provided and set up our tables/chairs, so that wasn't really a big deal. You can always pay extra to rent tables, chairs, and have them set up. I thought the cost was reasonable compared to the many other spaces we viewed that were much more expensive.

My only issue so far is there seems to be a lack of organization in the staff. It's very difficult to get email responses and it isn't very clear who is responsible for what. While the space is awesome they definitely lack customer service. It would be nice to just have answers to very basic questions.

This is a really unique venue which suited my wedding. Unfortunately, there were a dearth of reviews out there on the location. Perhaps, this will help someone else. This is a very expensive location with nothing pertaining to the event that comes with the cost. You just get a room. While they do have the capacity to supply rentals at a slightly reduced price than rental companies, for as much as it costs, I would think something comes with the rental. The in-house event planner, Hilary, is really nice and helpful. However, she runs a separate gallery. The pair that runs the large event hall were not really helpful and only really communicated with me regarding money. If anything, they forced me to make last minute rearrangements which set me back substantially in my schedule.

While I was busy going through the planning process, I thought some of the things they were asking for were reasonable and just wanted to get the day over with. It wasn't until my caterer stopped me the day before and asked "How much are you paying for this place?" and "They didn't give you that? Or help you set up with that, either?" I finally realized I should've expected better from my venue. Of course I had a great time. Mainly because at the end of the day, all that matters is your partner/husband and your friends and family. However, for as nice a venue as this place is, there are other locations in Cleveland that have as much character with better value, flexibility, and professionalism.
