  We recently got married at Early Mountain Vineyards in Charlottesville, VA in early March and were lucky enough to have Rachel of A Muse Photography as our photographer. While we reached out to a few local photographers, we knew immediately that we wanted to work with Rachel. Not only is her work incredible, but when we met her in person, we instantly loved her and realized what a fun, outgoing and wonderful person she is. Her love for her work is obvious and she was more than willing to work with us to create the ideal package for our engagement and wedding photos. Rachel was incredibly responsive from the moment we started working with her, which put me at ease since we scheduled her nearly a year before our actual wedding date - she even recommended the videographer we hired! During our engagement shoot, she captured incredible moments with us and our two pups and gave us a variety of amazing photos to choose from for our Save the Date. As the wedding got closer, Rachel made sure she got all the necessary information - desired poses, timeline, etc. - so that on the day of, everything went smoothly. Rachel and her assistant photographer, Jenny, were absolutely incredible on our wedding day - there was snow on the ground and it was freezing while we were taking photos outside, and it didn't even phase Rachel or Jenny, they powered through and were snapping away the entire time! The moments they captured are more than we could of imagined - we honestly love each photo Rachel gave us (and trust me, there are hundreds!!) Because Rachel has a wide range of experience and a diverse portfolio, she is able to add her artistic style and create gorgeous wedding photos you will want to look at over and over again. She is truly a perfectionist and made me, my husband, the bridal party, and our families and guests look their very best on our most important day! For all you brides to be, do yourself a favor and hire Rachel of A Muse Photographer - she is simply the best!

  Rachel was as sweet as can be. I'm so glad my wedding planner recommended I look at her work. She was so fun to work with and made you feel comfortable in front of the camera. You never really think about how easy it would be to feel uncomfortable having your every move photographed, but she makes it easy and just kind of fades into the background. She gives you guidance on what to do in front of the camera but isn't pushy and the result is just drop dead gorgeous photographs. She was organized and professional and she had our photos back to us in a really reasonable amount of time after the wedding and was so great about sending us her favorites along the way as she was editing. Our pictures were just amazing and I would recommend her to anybody!

  We can't say enough good things about Rachel and A Muse Photography. Rachel isn't the typical older stuffy photographer that will make you take the "canned" wedding shots. Her style is more modern and she's got a great eye for setting up different shots that really look incredible. When you book with Rachel, part of the package is a pre-wedding shoot that we did a few weeks before the wedding. We chose to use this shot for engagement photos and it was a great way to get to know Rachel, so that by the time the wedding came around, it wasn't a cold relationship. She felt like a friend. The engagement shots were incredible....seriously, incredible. She is professional, fun, and throughout the wedding night was always around taking shots in a non-intrusive way. She must have taken thousands of photos! She also got our wedding photos completed in record time (20-30 min) so that we could focus on the best part of any wedding....dancing and partying all night! Steph and I can't recommend Rachel enough. We liked her so much that we've already been in touch about doing our newborn photos in the spring. She will always be our go-to photographer in the future. Book Rachel now, you definitely won't regret it!

  Rachel came highly recommended to me by a wedding planner she had worked with just a few weeks before.   Rachel is AMAZING! She is relatively new to the industry so her prices are very fair which is what originally drew me to her. What made me decide to go with her as a photographer is her laid back, engaged and friendly demeanor. She goes out of her way to understand the bride and the vision of the wedding so she can be sure to capture all the right moments. Rachel even went so far as to ask me to add her on Pintrest and pin shots I liked from other weddings so she could get a feel for my tastes.
  
  During the wedding she was great. She was there at all the right moments. All of my guests who interacted with her said she was lovely. She even helped me calm down when I was flustered right after the ceremony with the amount of people who wanted pictures. Some how she got all of the requested shots and made everyone happy in a reasonable amount of time. My husband and I even made it to the cocktail hour! Finally, Rachel made a great slide show of ceremony pictures that she played during the reception. It was such a treat!
  
  I have only seen a handful of wedding pictures at this time but they are all wonderful. I highly recommend Rachel as a photography.

  I'd heard that photography is one area you don't want to skimp on for your wedding expenses. And as much as I cringed when I discovered the price range of good wedding photographers in the area, I have to say - choosing Rachel was so worth it.
  My husband is a designer (with an eye for great photography) and he wanted A Muse Photography for our wedding since day one. I'm not the most photogenic bride, so I was on board with choosing someone who takes amazing photos.
  Rachel is spectacular, as a quick glance of her work will confirm. Her distinctive style is a far cry from cheesy or cliche wedding photography; her composition, lighting and post-editing can only be described as gallery worthy. Some of her best work plays with light and shadow, with almost a gritty quality - but she's versatile and equally as talented in bright landscape shots and portraits as well.
  But what really sold me on Rachel was her remarkable ability to capture the spontaneous EMOTION of a wedding - the look of love in the groom's eyes, that moment when the bride's father loses his composure, etc.
  I was so nervous when I met her - but Rachel is so sweet and down-to-earth, she immediately puts you at ease. She worked tirelessly on our wedding day (which was a LONG drive, for starters), and went way above and beyond to capture every moment. She even stayed far past her cut-off time, just so she could capture more of our wedding reception. Rachel made me feel so beautiful - and, just as I had hoped, our photos are jaw-dropping. Seriously, like *magazine-worthy*.
  It was truly an investment to be able to capture so much of that special day with such beautiful and high-quality photos. Not only do they showcase everything we put into the wedding to make it special (the venue, the little details, etc) in the most spectacular way, but they capture so many unforgettable moments with the family and friends we love. You will NOT regret choosing this photographer.
