  Beautiful and Heartfelt Personalized Ceremony

  Back in 2019, when we were looking around for an officiant for our non-religious ceremony, we looked at several places in the Long Beach area. The groom was raised Catholic and the bride was raised Methodist, but neither of us are practicing or religious now, and we did not want a religious ceremony. However, many wedding officiant services did not really fit our vision for our wedding—most felt like they were trying to put on some sort of elaborate, gaudy entertainment event for the benefit of the guests, more like a flashy, nauseating show than the union of two people for a lifetime.
  
  Fortunately, we found A&S Wedding Officiants, which was exactly what we were looking for! When we first visited A&S, we felt a sense of comfort and openness when working with Janel and Monica. We sat down to discuss our ceremony and ended up chatting for hours about our life in LA, how we met, and all sorts of fun stories of our family and friends. It was an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable experience, and our stress about the upcoming wedding and ceremony details just quietly melted away. Unfortunately, due to COVID, our wedding was repeatedly delayed, but A&S was incredibly accommodating to our circumstances. We met again at the office in the summer of 2021 and it was like catching up with old friends.
  
  One incredible convenience of working with A&S is that the marriage license and all the paperwork can be completely taken care of, and we did not have to visit a courthouse afterward to file documents. Instead, we just went honeymooning to Santa Barbara and everything gets mailed to us later.
  
  As for the wedding, Janel wrote the most amazing and beautiful ceremony, which was so full of emotion that it had the bride and groom holding back tears. It transitioned between witty and fun to powerful and romantic, and perfectly reflected our story. We had a vision for the type of ceremony that we wanted, and Janel was perfectly accommodating to that vision. We even had a last-minute idea for a “wine ceremony” element, which she perfectly incorporated into the ceremony. Our dog, Yukihiro, also had his own special part to play. We are so incredibly happy with our wedding ceremony, which was tailored to our experiences, and held such special meaning to us. Janel is a wonderful person, we’re thankful that she could be part of our wedding day, and we highly recommend her as a wedding officiant!

  Incredibly happy and satisfied!

  Monica and her husband were truly wonderful. We did an elopement in February and then had our wedding on the beach in May. She was very thorough with designing the ceremony and making it special for our day. Everything she said during the ceremony was custom written to our personalities and our situation. We are very laid back and comedic and she took the ball and ran with it. It had the exact affect we were looking for. We ended up with something incredibly unique and special and I couldn't have asked for more.

  Highly recommend A & S Wedding Officiant

  Extremely happy and would recommend A & S wedding officiants and Monica! She interviewed us to get to know both of us and wrote a ceremony specifically for the two of us. Monica walked us through every step of the process, including the license, explained everything, and made our preparations with ease.

  Jeff and Monica were absolutely fantastic! They performed a beautiful ceremony for us on the beach and handled everything. We were from out of state and all we had to do was show up. They handled everything from the marriage license before, to the ceremony, and even submitting the paperwork for the marriage certificate after the wedding. The ceremony was perfect; personalized to us, and just as we had hoped! They were friendly, personable and very professional. I would definitely recommend A&S Wedding Officiants.

  I highly recommend A&S Wedding Officiant. Monica and her husband were really helpful, they organized a great ceremony even if we don't live in California. Since I come from Italy Monica was able to make a bilingual ceremony which was perfect considering that a lot of the Italian guests didn't speak English at all. Was a pleasant and wonderful ceremony that made our special day just perfect. We couldn't be more grateful!

  Jeff and Monica are amazing! My now husband Jay and I had an unforgettable wedding ceremony- very touching and personalized.   We loved working with A&S! Monica was so helpful in guiding us through all the ins and outs of CA marriage licensing, great suggestions and services for making things go smoothly! She and her husband were warm and fun and easy to work with! We also loved our officiant - Janell was equally warm, comfortable, and performed our service, with all of the quirky little specifics we asked for, in a genuine manner, perfect for our intimate little family ceremony! Highly recommended!

  Reverend Monica and Jeff were absolutely amazing! They were very professional and gave our wedding such a personal touch. Our guests complimented on how great they were. Somewhere down the line when we renew our vows, we hope to have them again.

We selected her immediately to be our Minster and could not be any happier for doing so. As Monica got to know us personally she envisioned and created a ceremony that had both of us and our families in awe.

We're from the UK and wanted to wed in Los Angeles, we spoke to several officiants but none of them were as friendly and helpful as Monica. She took care of all of our worries and sorted all the paperwork out with ease, communication was effortless.
  The ceremony itself was the most beautiful we could have imagined, including her wonderful husband Jeff, who did a lovely reading. Monica then put through all the paperwork for us ready to collect in person whilst we were still in the country. Words cannot express how lucky we feel to have found Monica and to have had the best experience of getting married in another country with absolutely no stress.
  Our ceremony was just us and our photographers, in our favourite spot at the Griffith Observatory. If I could give 6 stars I would.

  Monica and Jeff are two of the kindest, sweetest people we've ever met, and they absolutely love what they are doing, bringing two people together in marriage.   Our wedding was a day we will never forget, especially our beautiful ceremony Jeff put together for us, it was personalized to fit my husband and I which made it extra special.   Monica is amazing. My now husband and I decided to get married after being together for ten years on a Thursday night and Monica married us that Saturday evening! We lucked out and found her on a google search, she answered the phone at 10:30 that evening and answered all our questions for over 1/2 an hour. Not only did she perform the ceremony with just the two of us in our backyard but the following day meet us two hours away for a surprise re-do in front of all our friends and family. She is punctual, trustworthy, sweet, smart... I could go on and on. Highly recommend, sincerely, Tracy

  My husband and I are extremely grateful with Monica and her husband for the guidance through the ceremony planning process; for their help and immense patience to answer all our questions, and for their knowledge and reassurance.They made our day even more special!
  
  Omar & I decided to have a last minute wedding at the beach. Monica & husband worked around our busy schedule to come to our home and get to know more of our story & personalize our ceremony. They are warm and very kind, such a lovely couple! We felt like we knew them for years. Monica answers emails instantly, she is very professional, well spoken, and friendly.
  
  They arrived super early the day of the ceremony, helped our friends to decorate and finalize some arrangements, and calmed my husband down during nervous breakdowns :) They took care of me and my husband during, before and after the ceremony.

  ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! SEE FULL YELP REVIEW. orking with this group of officiators was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. I regret it more than anything. Choose them if you want to risk being pronounced by the WRONG NAME at your wedding!! And that's just the first issue. Not only did they make this HUGE mistake, but he literally STUMBLED THROUGH THE ENTIRE CEREMONY!!!! We were standing there forever while he literally stumbled, coughed and sputtered through every line. I can provide the professional, videographer shot wedding video for anyone that would like to see. I would also be happy to send you my rough draft to follow along with just so you can see how EXTREMELY DIFFERENT the two are. We were sent a rough draft of the ceremony before the wedding of how it was SUPPOSED to be but when we got to the altar it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Don’t even get me started on the extremely lame jokes. They literally had ONE job. To pronounce us….and miserably failed. When I first confronted them about it, they ignored my initial message, so I sent another. When I got a response it was said that I had received a military discount and therefore did not pay the same amount that others had. Basically belittling what I paid. (Keep in mind this was only 30 dollars off regular full price) No remorse whatsoever. Excuse me?? If it meant getting the low quality services they provided, they could have kept the discount. Then they lied and said that my husband told them how to pronounce our name prior…insinuating that my husband didn’t know the pronunciation of his OWN last name???  Unbelieveable. My wedding got a later start than originally planned due to an issue with another vendor and at the ceremony they were all like it’s okay!!! But when I confronted them about the issues suddenly there was a $50 fee. These people are a JOKE. Seriously, do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake. RUN. There’s a reason they are cheaper than other competitors. Get what you pay for.

Not only did they make this HUGE mistake, but he literally STUMBLED THROUGH THE ENTIRE CEREMONY!!!! We were standing there forever while he literally stumbled, coughed and sputtered through every line. I can provide the professional, videographer shot wedding video for anyone that would like to see. I would also be happy to send you my rough draft to follow along with just so you can see how EXTREMELY DIFFERENT the two are. We were sent a rough draft of the ceremony before the wedding of how it was SUPPOSED to be but when we got to the altar it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Don’t even get me started on the extremely lame jokes. They literally had ONE job. To pronounce us….and miserably failed. When I first confronted them about it, they ignored my initial message, so I sent another. When I got a response it was said that I had received a military discount and therefore did not pay the same amount that others had. Basically belittling what I paid. (Keep in mind this was only 30 dollars off regular full price) No remorse whatsoever. Excuse me?? If it meant getting the low quality services they provided, they could have kept the discount. Then they lied and said that my husband told them how to pronounce our name prior…insinuating that my husband didn’t know the pronunciation of his OWN last name???  Unbelieveable. My wedding got a later start than originally planned due to an issue with another vendor and at the ceremony they were all like it’s okay!!! But when I confronted them about the issues suddenly there was a $50 fee. These people are a JOKE. Seriously, do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake. RUN. There’s a reason they are cheaper than other competitors. Get what you pay for.
