    Our DJ was Ron and he did an excellent job. He communicated with all other professionals involved with the wedding and members of the wedding party. He made announcements per our request. He was able to get the guests involved without them feeling uncomfortable. We had almost everyone on the dance floor at one point during the reception. Overall, my husband and I were happy to have Ron share in one of the best days of our lives.

    We didn't originally think that we could afford to have a videographer, but we contacted A Solid Gold Sound, and were so impressed with their willingness to work with us on the price that we booked them! They were very attentive to us, and our needs. They called to make sure that everything was in order, and to fill us in to let us know what we needed to do, and what they were going to do. On the day, we met with Casey, and he was FANTASTIC! He was funny, and told us what he was going to be doing, and where he would be standing. He seemed like he actually wanted to be there, and to me that's important. We haven't seen the video yet, but every time I turned around he was recording something, so I'm sure it will be great, and will have catptured all of the highlights of the night! Love how they ask the bride and groom to do a closing shot. It was so nice to get away for a few minutes with my new husband and know that the shot we just did was going to be the closing to our wedding video! :) Thanks so much, ASGS! :)

    I am so happy I chose Solid Gold Sound to be my DJ. Ron C was the DJ and did an incredible job! We literally had everyone on the dance floor at some point in the evening. I don't think I left the dance floor and there was a good group out there the entire night. His song selections were perfect!

    Since we had our ceremony at the Makoy Center as well, I chose all my ceremony music from the Prelude to the Recessional. I burnt a CD of all the songs but unfortunately it did not play on their CD played. Joe, who coordinates the DJ and everything, called me to confirm all my song selections and purchased each one from iTunes and burnt a new CD to give to Ron. I was super impressed with his patients and willingness to do that for me.

    I highly recommend Ron C though if you chose to use A Solid Gold Sound.

    Our DJ was awesome! We heard many compliments about him. Very helpful throughout the night and exactly what we wanted.

    Luke Milton of A Solid Gold Sound was the best videographer! He was very professional and unintrusive. Whenever I thought "Oh, I hope he's getting this" he was right there. He worked so well with our photographers even though they weren't from A Solid Gold Sound. The video was exactly what we wanted. He captured all the moments we wanted and a few that were unexpected. I just can't say enough good things. It was definately worth the money we paid. Thanks Luke!

    Our DJ was awesome! Highly recommended! This company is really good at knowing what kind of music should be played at weddings and they honor your requests as well. They made everything perfect!

    DJ was excellent. Very respectful of our music interests. Our wedding video turned out amazing as well. Cost efficient too!

    The DJ was great, very laid back and did his job in a professional way. My only complaint was that I was told he would have some of the songs that I specifically requested, and the day of was told that he had never heard of them! Also, we asked for no line dancing and he played a couple of line dance songs (which the guests loved so I didn't mind it after all). He greeted me as soon as I arrived, asked how he could help - a very nice guy! The company itself is easy to work with and wants to do things the way you want them.

    Every one of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed our DJ. He called me a few weeks before the wedding and we covered the kinds of music my fiance and I enjoyed as well as key music selections. He was very attentive and also played requests! He was great and a lof of fun -- his name was Chris. I am not sure if you can request DJ's but they have so many there!

    We enjoyed having A Solid Gold Sound Columbus as our wedding DJ. During the planning stages of our reception, I found them to be helpful with all of my questions and very friendly as well, especially Joe. We had Jermain as our DJ that night and would recommend him. He was very personable and definitely kept the formalities flowing nicely, which many people complimented him on. Our guests definitely enjoyed themselves.

    One critique of the evening: We crossed out both The Chicken Dance and Cotton Eye Joe, among other songs in our song selection book (meaning they were NOT to be played). Unfortunately both of those songs were played, which made me CRINGE as I heard them, but I do have to admit that many people were still on the floor dancing, enjoying both songs.

    Friends of ours had Chris from A Solid Gold Sound at their reception and so when we got married we specifically asked for him and he was available. He was great at getting the party going and keeping it going. He went along with our wishes of music we did and didn't want and he was great at the various announcements and things without being cheesy. We were 100% satisfied with the actual reception and also he was good in the meetings. However, the one thing that was a bit of a downside was that Chris kept calling my husband-to-be in the last few days before the wedding trying to change the order of the reception, even after we told him we didn't want to change anything. Also, a guest told me that (before we got there), he kept going outside for long periods of time but this could have been because we had a live musician for part of the cocktail hour. All in all, I would recommend him because he was fabulous at the actual reception. Just keep in mind that you might have to be tough with him as your day draws closer.

    They were very good at planning out the timeline for the reception. I did not have to plan any of the reception details.

    I was very pleased with the DJ we had for the reception. He did an excellent job and I had several people tell me that he was the best DJ they had ever seen at a wedding.

    Response time from the main office regarding requests for information and things liek that were delayed at times and I had to request an updated invoice several times, but they were quick to fix any errors.

    There are a great number of DJ's that allow them to choose a DJ that best fits the type of wedding you are looking to have.

    they were okay until the actual ceramony. They lost the paper we sent them of the songs and names of the wedding party. They even called me by the wrong name...

    Pre-wedding planning was a breeze. The staff at Solid Gold was wonderful. They were very open to communication. The DJ, however, was supposed to call me the day before the wedding to talk about some of my requests, even though I spent over an hour on the phone with the office staff the week before telling him everything that I wanted, didn't want, et cetera. For anyone who has ever been married, the day before the wedding is the most hectic. When the DJ called, I was picking my friends up from the airport, was on my way to the nail salon, and from there we went straight to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. I finally touched base with him Saturday morning before the brunch that was being hosted. I was not in the state of mind to rehash what I'd already discussed with his boss.

    At the wedding, I was very displeased with the DJ. He played the Electric Slide twice in thirty minutes, despite the fact that it was on my "no-play" list. The music that he played wasn't terrible, BUT he was extremely pushy. He was so "worried" that people weren't going to get enought "dance time" that he tried to rush me through the cake cutting, the bouqet toss, the garter toss. He kept coming up to me, NOT the wedding planner, to ask me questions. I was very disappointed that he was interrupting my conversations with my guests to tell me that it was time to cut the cake. People were still being served their dinner entrees. Needless to say, I probably would only recommend this DJ to someone who wants a DJ to run the show. Oh - also - he messed up our entrance song.

    I was very impressed when I first contacted A Solid Gold Sound to do my wedding music. Andy, the manager, was very helpful drawing a picture of my big event, he even had me fill out a booklet so we could pick out our own songs and they could prepare for songs that they didn't have. Joe, another manager, was also very helpful in doing that. I spoke with Joe about 2 weeks prior to the wedding an I felt very good and excited. Him and I talked about specific songs, how the dances we to go, and the order of the evening. Joe told me that my actual DJ would be calling me a couple of days out. Well I never got a call from the DJ and only met him on the day of. The reception was fun and he did a good job at picking out songs to make everyone dance. But, He only had about half of the songs that Joe and I discussed and he didn't have our mother/son song correct. We picked "In my life" by the Beatles and he played "All my life" by Cacee and JoJo. Now, if you have ever heard that song...a mother and son should NEVER dance to it! Instead of immediately taking it off and finding another song to salvage that moment he let the song play out and tried to get me to immediately decide on another song to be played because they didn't have the Beatles song that we picked out weeks before the wedding day! This little mishap didn't ruin my evening but It was awful and that moment was ruined for my husband and his mother.

    The dj was very proffessional. I feel that if he wasn't the third Dj that they had assigned to us in the 3 days before the wedding he would have been amazing, he just didn't really know what we wanted as far as music went. I think if you are picky like me going with a local small self ran dj is a better choice

    The owners were great, but Angie, our Dj ws AWWWWFUULLLL!!! She showed up in a skirt suit with white tennis shoes, mispronounced all of our names, after i went over it with her seven times before we were introduced, was on her cell phone all night, rushed everything, and kept taking smoke breaks during every single song. she was the worst thing about our wedding and I hated HATED her because she was so boring, and everything went by so fast because she rushed us into doing everything in a row. we went from the toast to the first dance to father daughter to bouquet to cake cutting, and people started leaving two hours into our reception because everything was over. It was terrible and I would NOT recommend her to ANYONE

    This is the worst company. They are a third party and the day prior to my wedding they informed me that the DJ was not available. They offered a package with the DJ and video services that was too good to be true and that was exactly right. I called several times to follow up after the wedding and no reply. As a result of us disputing the charges and them never bothering to follow up we have no video from our wedding. It was the worst experience ever.
