  Amazing food and friendly staff

  Absolutely amazing food. Jackie and her team went above and beyond. 100% recommend them for any event. They were wonderful with communication and so friendly to all our guests.

  The absolute best!

  A Taste Above Catering is absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of working with them on my wedding day, July 14th, 2019. Their food is divine and so is their service. They were so accommodative and nice. We did not even have to get in line for food because they fixed us a plate and put it on our table. So I can honestly say that my husband and I actually got to eat and enjoy the food at our wedding!! Oh and they even through in a free salad bar for our guests to enjoy while the wedding party took pictures. At the end of the night they helped my family clean up and were very thorough in...   Sooooo yummy!!

  Jackie and Heather were a complete joy to work with. They were very easy to communicate with and worked with us diligently to find a price point we were comfortable with, without compromising food quality. On the day of, they were complete professionals. We didn’t have to worry about them at all – they showed up and did their thing and it was flawless. The food was delicious and received many complements. We could not have been happier to have chosen them for our special day.

  Dinner was so good, not one plate was left untouched.

  We chose them because we tasted their food at an open house, and we were blown away by the flavor. The meats were moist, the veggies were perfect, the mash potatoes were to die for. So we decided to share all of these delicious items with our family and friends. From the very beginning with appetizers that were gone so fast, to the main meal, our guests were satisfied, happy and just like us, blown away by the flavors. Great service and great presentation, we made the right choice. "A taste above" truly has that title earned, along with a very affordable price.

  Wonderful to work with!

  Jackie was so very easy to deal with and her knowledge was so helpful. This was our first time to go through the wedding process and Jackie was so kind, understanding and flexible when we were trying to make decisions. And the food was amazing! So many compliments from our guests. We would recommend to anyone having an event! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us!

  Amazing food!

  I got married this past weekend at Pearls in the Pines and had Taste Above Catering as my food vendor. Everything was amazing!! We selected chicken in a cheese sauce, green beans, loaded potatoes, and side salad! It was great! Received so many compliments on the food and how good it was!! They also had a beautiful fruit display !

  Jackie and Heather were a pleasure to work with. The FOOD, it was the best!! Sometimes you go to weddings or events and the food is ok. Not the case with A Taste Above, it's truly outstanding. The guests have repeatedly told me how good the food was at my daughter's wedding. They also go out of their way to make the buffet tables look beautiful with flowers and sculptured fruit. They bused the tables and cleaned everything up. We had no cleanup after the reception was over. They are great! Give them a call if you are looking for a caterer!

  Jackie is amazing!!! We tried several different Houston area caterers, and at each tasting we felt like we were eating blah cafeteria food. Then we tried Jackie's Taste Above Catering-- DELICIOUS! Jackie's food is SO good! Tastes like a comforting, amazing, home cooked meal with real ingredients. For the wedding we had the chicken in a four cheese cream sauce, loaded mashed potatoes (AMAZING), and her bacon with green beans. We also had the prime rib roast. Honestly, I really wish I could eat all of that again right now! All of it was divine! Her peach iced tea is so good as well! All of my guests raved about the food. Jackie is such a kind, good hearted, talented lady and I'm so thankful my wedding planner recommended her! Definitely the best caterer ever!

  My experience with A Taste Above Catering was okay. They catered my wedding on 8/3/18 at The Springs in Lake Conroe, and while my issues are not necessarily with the quality of service provided, they are more with the way the business is ran. Food allergies are serious and should be followed accordingly, especially by a catering company.
  Overall, our guests enjoyed the fruit bar and were satisfied with the fajitas served. Overall, the food was delicious, but almost needing a dose of epinephrine during my wedding and worrying about a potential scam was not worth it.

  A Complete Disaster Experience

  Choosing A Taste Above for my catering services was the biggest mistake I made in my wedding planning. Being a wedding photographer in the industry, I’ve had a lot of wedding food. I’ve also worked with and met a lot of caterers. When it came time to get married myself, I chose A Taste Above because I had worked with them previously and had thought it was the best food I had had at a wedding. The food is excellent, but that’s where it stops. My first red flags were with their communication.   Choosing A Taste Above for my catering services was the biggest mistake I made in my wedding planning. Being a wedding photographer in the industry, I’ve had a lot of wedding food. I’ve also worked with and met a lot of caterers. When it came time to get married myself, I chose A Taste Above because I had worked with them previously and had thought it was the best food I had had at a wedding. The food is excellent, but that’s where it stops. My first red flags were with their communication. Getting in contact with them was an absolute nightmare from the beginning, but I chalked it up to them being busy and maybe just not great with emails. Despite my better judgment, I signed the contract with them. I met with them in person and told them I wanted a family style dinner service, which they promised they could do. I reiterated this to them multiple times and explained exactly what I meant by that in person and it was stated in emails. I was promised that was possible and it would be provided. Weeks before the wedding when we got down to picking final food and numbers, every invoice that was sent to me was wrong. I had to keep telling them that’s not what they told me in person and what I was promised. Despite my frustration, I continued to have faith that they would still be great on wedding day. WOW WAS I WRONG. When they arrived on wedding day and my planner inquired about their plans for food and serving so she could prep the reception, we were told they didn’t bring anything to serve my guests with. Nothing. No plates, no silverware, NOTHING. We had absolutely nothing to serve our guests with and when my planner asked what the heck they were planning on doing for family style, they were totally unprepared and forgot completely and responded with “Well you only told me that once.” They refused to work with my planner and told her to figure out the plate situation herself. They didn’t do ANYTHING to fix the situation or remedy it. My planner left my wedding for 2 hours and went and spent her own money buying every piece of plastic and paper plates and silverware in Montgomery. My guests were served individually, as they apparently came prepared for a buffet service with nothing to serve my guests with. None of it was what we discussed, and I was extremely disappointed in how the disregarded everything I had said and asked for. The service was a nightmare and they began bussing our head table during our speeches. They never reached out to me about anything and I don’t think they would have had I not emailed them telling them how disappointed I was. They actually just don’t care. In my email, I asked for a partial refund due to them not serving us family style, not providing us plates, and my planner spending money out of her pocket to buy plates. It’s been weeks since my wedding, and they won’t get in contact with me and they won’t answer my phone calls or emails despite my attempts to reach them. It was the worst experience and the one thing that went horribly wrong on my wedding day. It was a complete disaster and I wish I never used this company.
