The room service during the wedding was excellent, and they helped tear down afterward. It was the perfect place for our wedding!

The Abe Martin Lodge was the perfect place for our wedding! This is a hidden gem in Nashville IN and I highly recommend it! Great outdoor setting with lots of room inside for the reception. I am an Event Planner and they surpassed even my high expectations. Their staff is very knowledgeable and versed in the event world and know their space inside and out. They gave me suggestions that I hadn't even thought of. Thank you to the Abe Martin Lodge for my our special day magical!

    Beautiful and Accommodating

Abe Martin Lodge provided excellent communication throughout the planning process. We were able to tour the venue options ahead of time and select ceremony and reception locations that we wanted. Prices are very reasonable considering what all is covered. The events coordinator made the planning process so easy and fun. We could not be more happy with our experience!

I was very disappointed with this venue for our wedding ceremony. We had our ceremony in the Allison Peabody Room, which has beautiful stone accents and a lot of rustic charm. That was the only thing that made this venue worthwhile.
It was very frustrating working with the event staff at Abe Martin Lodge as they were very unresponsive and when I did receive a response, it was rude and short. They never set up a time with me to do a walk-through of the venue to determine setup for my event. I didn’t receive any information regarding floorplan, the sound system, or entries to the room until three days before my wedding when they called me to ask about the floor plan. Not having the information I needed, I had to come up with it on the fly based on what I could remember about the details of the room.
I sent a follow-up email to assure the details were correct and ask to pay off any outstanding balances before the wedding. I received no response, so I assumed it was taken care of from our deposit. When I arrived at the venue for the rehearsal, I was happy with the setup and to see that the chairs had been covered; however there was no cover on the head table for the unity ceremony. Luckily I had extra linens in my car to cover it.
    Other cons:
I received an invoice in the mail a month AFTER my wedding with an outstanding balance for the linen rental. This was after I had asked to pay for this before the wedding (with no response).
The linens on the chairs were very slippery and my dad actually FELL out of his chair during the ceremony because the linens slipped off the chair.

We chose this venue for the rustic charm and I loved the look of it for my wedding ceremony; however be warned that if you use this venue, you need to be organized, have a backup plan (and linens apparently), and plan on figuring everything out yourself.

Where to begin? We chose the Abe Marin Lodge- Allison Peabody Room for our wedding. We loved the rustic feel of the venue. To begin, all correspondence between Kathy, the wedding coordinator, and myself was agonizingly slow. I made sure to get as many questions into my e-mails the 1st time around because I knew it would be 2+ days until I would hear anything back, or she would miss a question entirely- leaving me to wait yet another 2+ days. While this was terribly annoying, I did eventually get all my questions answered. The week before the wedding was so stressful, and most of this stress was caused by the venue. I chose linen colors months before the wedding date. 2 days before the weeding I was e-mailed by Kathy saying that all white would have to be used because the linen company did not have the colors I had chosen. She did not give me another choice, just the blunt news that EVERYTHING would be white. Well, I am going to take a guess and say that they did not try to arrange anything with the linen company until the week of. To say the least, I wanted to rip my hair out at that point. Another HUGE issue I had was with the food. First, they sent me an invoice with prices $3-6 dollars more than estimated. Luckily, this was corrected. Second, we had 2 people in our wedding that have celiac disease and can not have gluten. This was made very apparent to Kathy. The big day rolls around and the staff "switched" our lasagna (that had eggplant instead of noodles) with another wedding happening at the same time. Yeah, let's just say that one of them got severely sick. I tried contacting the venue about this and they have ignored my e-mails. If you are looking for a venue currently steer clear of this hot mess. Yes, it's pretty and the price is decent (though it has raised within the year we were engaged), but the hassle and lack of professionalism is not worth it. Seriously!
