We hired Affinity NYC as our wedding band after they blew us away at the wedding of our close friends' in Utah. This was absolutely the right decision. They came to our Maine wedding and brought an incredible energy, keeping the dance floor packed the entire night. Countless guests came up to us to rave about how incredible the band was, noting that they could play any genre with genuine skill. The night wouldn't have been the same without them. We would recommend Affinity highly to anyone who wants a packed dance floor at their wedding! -

Chandlar and his incredible team made our wedding so memorable and energetic. They were super easy to work with and don't have any restrictions when it comes to playing what you want - they are versatile and can play ANYTHING, and if by some chance they don't know a song they're excited to learn it. All of our guests are still raving about how amazing our wedding band was and we're so happy we chose Affiniti. Thank you, Chandlar & team!!! -

We planned our wedding and secured most of our big ticket vendors in the height of COVID, which meant committing to AffinitiNYC without ever seeing them perform live. They were a breeze to work with in the planning process. We hired a 7-piece band to play the dance party/after party portion of our wedding (3 hours straight of performance, 10pm-1am). They sounded fantastic and maintained the vibe and energy we were looking for. Nearly ALL of our guests came up to me or my husband in the night to tell us how much they loved them. They were such a key element in creating our perfect wedding day and we are so happy to have found them! -

My husband and I first saw AffinitiNYC perform one of the many times we were at prohibition prior to COVID. We fell in love with them, we weren’t even engaged, and said we WILL have them at our wedding one day! Fast forward a little over a year and my gosh we are so happy we got to sing and dance the night away with Affiniti. They absolutely KILLED IT and had our guests dancing the entire night even during this crazy pandemic. They were so awesome and made everyone comfortable by telling them they can dance on the dance floor or at their tables as long as they were enjoying themselves. We got SO MANY compliments from our guests saying they were the best band they have heard at a wedding. No one wanted the party to end!! They even played our first dance song as well as our mother/father dances. They went above and beyond and made our COVID wedding the wedding of our dreams. Thank you Karen and crew for being absolutely exceptional! We can’t wait to see you again at Prohibition once life is less crazy!! -

Amazing band!
We were looking for a larger, high energy band with a horn section and we seriously lucked out by hiring AffinitiNYC! Our wedding was in Vermont but we wanted to have a New Orleans second line and incorporate some very non-New England traditions into the reception. Chandlar and the band listened to our very specific requests and delivered above and beyond what we had hoped. Everyone could not stop talking about how great our band was - they kept the party going from the second everyone walked into the reception until the very end! -

First, if you're reading this, you obviously are considering having live music at your wedding. If you are on the fence between hiring a band and hiring a DJ, please do yourself and your guests a favor and hire a live band! No offense to all the great DJs out there. But when you hire the right band, live music brings life and energy to an event that can only be created by real-life musicians and singers, bringing all of their talent and energy to make your reception a joyous, one-of-a-kind event. Again, DJs have their place, but a wedding is a CELEBRATION and the best way to celebrate is with a real band, trust us!
Second, when it comes to bands, these guys are the best. They were very easy to work with and put a lot of effort into understanding what types of songs - and what actual songs - we wanted to hear at our event. When it came to the event, they delivered big time, and exceeded by a large margin our very high expectations of them. The band sounded great from start to finish - never too loud, but always bringing the right level of energy to get people up on their feet, in some cases literally jumping up and down, and smiling. Our attendees ranged from kids to octogenarians, and everyone found something to enjoy in the song choices, which ranged from classic R&B, soul, pop and rock songs to current hits to Sinatra-esque standards. Somehow, they made every style of music real and full of real life and joy - nothing sounded forced or canned - and, except during the meal (when the played appropriate background music), the dance floor was always jammed.
The band is made up of first-rate professional musicians, without exception, and the stars of the show, Chandlar and Karen, are truly exceptional singers and bandleaders.
It's now almost two months and we are still getting comments about how great the band was and how much fun people had on the dance floor at our event. Out of space here, but hire these guys already!
