  Alan Koa is the best for bridal parties!

  My 7 girls and I all got our hair done here and we loved the experience and the hair!!! All of our hairdressers were so kind and easy to talk. Having a room we could all have breakfast and mimosas in was so nice, as well as the beautiful downtown location. I specifically recommend Tohria who made my elegantly messy hairstyle concept a dream! Alan Koa is the best place for bridal parties!

  If you are getting married in Madison, I highly recommend you get your hair and makeup here for your wedding. I was married this May and had my bridal hair done by Thomas and makeup by Ashley. I was 100% happy with how it turned out and they were so nice and friendly. Definitely made me feel pampered and beautiful. Absolutely perfect and worth every penny. Katie was our coordinator at the salon, and she was incredibly helpful and provided a great experience overall.

  They did a GREAT job with hair and makeup. I really did look natural, except with crazy long eyelashes. My hair was great and they really listened to what I wanted. A great start to an AMAZING day.

  I have been going to Alan Koa for 5 years (Danielle is amazing!), so choosing them to do my bridal hair was easy. Brenda was incredibly kind and accommodating the day of the wedding; We had a large group of 15 woman (me, my bridesmaids, moms, aunts, flower girl) but we were never made to feel like we were in the way or a nuisance. All of our hair looked amazing and the staff was quick and professional!

  We went to Alan Koa Salon for our hair/make-up. The scheduling process was so easy! All my bridesmaids and our flower girl got their hair done. Additionally, MoB, Grandma, my aunt got their hair and/or make-up done. (Total we had 6 make-up appointments & 10 hair appointments.) They were able to accommodate us, and were on time with all of the appointments! We were in-and-out of the salon in a little over 2 hours. We even got to enjoy the beautiful morning on their terrace overlooking State St. and the Capitol!

  I went to Alan Koa for my shellac manicure the day before the wedding, in addition to my hair and makeup and my bridesmaids' hair and makeup. I am so happy with how everything turned out! My nails are still gorgeous, and they are exactly what I wanted. Joellen did a great job. Tess did my hair and makeup on Saturday, and I am blown away with how amazing I looked. I told her I wanted to look like Snow White in the early '60s, which is a strange request, but she pulled it off. My makeup stayed absolutely perfect the entire day, and I didn't need a single touchup. My bridesmaids looked even more gorgeous than usual, and they each looked like themselves, which I appreciated. We were even allowed to make some mimosas while we got ready and that was very VERY nice, since I was sort of panicky and needed a drink. I would recommend Alan Koa to any bride who wants to feel pampered and wonderful and assured that she will look more beautiful than she ever has before.

  My bridal party and I all had our hair and makeup done at Alan Koa Salon. Tess did both my hair and makeup and did an absolutely incredible job. She really listened to what I wanted and the end result was exactly what I had hoped for. The other girls who worked with my wedding party also did an fantastic job, and all of them were very kind and attentive.
  
  Our only problem was with the general manager, Brenda. I had emailed the salon a month before the wedding to ask if we could add two more girls to our party, and had received a response confirming that this was not a problem. On my wedding day, however, I was approached by Brenda saying that there were two girls in my party that she did not have on the schedule. I explained to her that I had confirmed their addition a month ago, and yet she was quite rude and stated that the salon didn't have room for them. Although I was in the middle of getting my hair done, I got out my cell phone and showed her the email in which the salon had confirmed the addition of these two girls. She then asked me to forward her the email and disappeared. I was later informed that they were able to find space for these two girls, but one of them ended up waiting over an hour before starting hair and makeup. My mom had to approach Brenda to explain that we were on a schedule and couldn't keep waiting, and it wasn't until then that the last girl was seen. The salon did end up comping her services and Brenda apologized by the end of our appointment, but the whole situation should have been handled more professionally. As a bride it was quite stressful to be approached in the middle of my hair appointment and told that two people in my bridal party could not be seen.
  
  Overall, however, I would still recommend Alan Koa to other brides strictly because of Tess and the other stylists. They did a phenomenal job and could not have been sweeter.
