  Alex is incredible!

  Alex was my dream come true for a wedding and engagement photographer. From our first phone call, she was so bright and bubbly and her excitement matched ours. My fiancé and I met up in the white mountains and I was heart set on doing our engagement photos near Franconia Ridge. After a having to reschedule a few times due to weather, I was starting to let the idea fade and thought we could just do the photos in Somerville where we live. Alex was not about to let that happen. She knew the mountaintop photos were important to me and we waited until the perfect day so we could do just that. Our engagement photos were stunning. I am still blown away by her talent capturing us in a place so near and dear to my heart. She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease behind the lens. I spent the whole morning grinning because being around Alex is such a delightful experience.
  She also photographed our welcome party and wedding, up in the white mountains. At first my fiancé wasn't sure about having a photographer for the welcome party, I cannot come close to counting the amount of times he said "I am so glad Alex is here." She captured our wedding in the most beautiful way possible. I am in awe of her work. The portraits are amazing and the candid shots are stunning. I cannot wait to frame the photos and share Alex's work with my family and friends for a lifetime. I feel so lucky that we got to work with Alex for our wedding. Her kindness was so reassuring on a stressful day and her positive (and overall) energy is unmatched. She is just such a dream to work with. I cannot recommend her highly enough for your special day. She is outstanding.

  Mountaintop Elopement

  Alex was prompt, professional, and most importantly - had fantastic energy throughout the entire day. She captured our day beautifully and told a wonderful story through her photographs. She’s an incredible person that makes you feel at ease and excited about your unique day.

  Incredible New England Photographer!

  Alexandra is an incredible photographer- we recommend her to absolutely anyone! We hired her to photograph our proposal/engagement photos at the top of a New Hampshire 4,000ft mountain, Mount Carrigain. She was more than willing to dedicate a weekday hiking up the mountain, photographing us at the top, and hiking back down with us- this was a huge time commitment on her part and we are so grateful for her help and work! She is willing to make any vision you have for your photographs possible- or direct you if you are open to her ideas and need inspiration. She is wonderful to talk to, especially if you like outdoor sports like hiking or skiing. We just got our edited photographs yesterday and they are stunning! We are so happy with our entire experience working with Alexandra Roberts! Thank you lady- we love what you do!

  Your search for a photographer can be over now

  We can’t speak more highly of our experience with Alex. We liked her as soon as we sat down for our first meeting together– her laid-back vibe and general philosophy were just what we had been hoping to find in a photographer. She was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She is organized, professional, and has amazing talent for making people feel comfortable, catching all the right moments, and producing downright fantastic photos. Even though an engagement shoot wasn’t in our budget, we don’t feel like we needed the “practice” getting comfortable in front of the camera– Alex makes it easy. She’s friendly, funny, and brings no stress. My husband and I had tons of fun roaming the property of the farm where we got married (in January, mind you) with Alex, finding fields, trees, rocks, and brambles for our portraits. And the photos! We will cherish them forever. She caught so many special moments and little details, the lighting in every picture is absolutely stunning– her work is just amazing. Having interacted with Alex at the wedding and seen our photos, a couple of friends who are getting married soon promptly asked us for her info. If you have the opportunity to work with Alex, take it!

  Alex was amazing to work with! She traveled up to Vermont and captured our wedding beautifully and authentically, and delivered images that we will always cherish. Finding a photographer who could represent laughter and emotion through genuine images was a huge priority for us during our wedding planning, and we are so glad we found Alex! She blended in seamlessly throughout the day so you never felt like you were in front of the camera and flew through the formal portraits so that our wedding party and family could get back to the celebration. I highly recommend Alex for anyone looking for a fun, flexible, and incredibly talented wedding photographer who will allow you to relive all of your favorite wedding memories (and a witness the moments you missed on the day of)!   If you don't get Alex as your wedding photographer (especially within the Northeast Region) you are truly missing out. Alex was AMAZING. From our engagement session - emails up to the wedding in which she ensured us that she'd keep everyone in line, keep it quick and natural and have an incredible experience - to actually fulfilling every one of her promises on our wedding day - she is seriously an outstanding photographer. We had a blast with her at our wedding and wished we had another photographer to capture all the moments we had with Alex! She made us feel so comfortable and natural - like we've done the entire day before. The level of energy she provides into your day makes you feel like you are the only two people she's ever cared about photographing. Alex literally made our day - and we haven't even seen the finally photos yet. Please please please - stop your search here and place an inquiry with Alex.   I can't imagine working with a nicer and more talented photographer than Alexandra. She was incredibly easy to work with, and the photos she took were stunning. She has a knack for capturing candid, personal moments while blending in completely with the environment. We couldn't have asked for anything more, and now we have this unbelievable photos to remember our wedding by.

  Alex is amazing!!! Not only are her pictures gorgeous, but she truly puts you at ease. I hate having my picture taken, so we opted to do engagement shots. She was willing to reschedule several times when snow trapped us out of state, and then trekked around the Fens in 6 feet of snow to get pictures we will treasure forever. When it came time for the big day itself, she hit the perfect mix of fading to the background but being there whenever we needed her, even if it wasn't photography related - she saved my mother from bleeding on the bouquet, but that's a long story :) She also did our photobooth with her husband, which came out incredibly well. We just got our pictures back from the wedding and I could not be happier. Work with Alex - you'll be so happy you did!

  The minute I saw Alex's photographs on her website soon after we started planning, I knew I wanted her to photograph our wedding. Her photographs are incredibly emotional and natural - nothing feels too forced or posed, and the real atmosphere and joy of each couple's wedding day shines so clearly. The light and color in her photographs is also consistently gorgeous. I made my girlfriend look at approximately a million of the photographs on her blog, and then emailed her and basically held my breath to see if she was available. After meeting Alex, we were even more certain we had picked the perfect photographer for us. She's hilarious, interesting, adventurous, and so sweet.
  
  Fast forward to this summer (we also took awesome engagement photos with Alex last fall) - we hired Alex to come on Friday night to photograph our rehearsal dinner before our wedding on Saturday. Seeing her for the first time in a few months was much more like seeing an old friend than seeing a wedding vendor. She fit in so easily with our friends and family, and everyone immediately loved her. All weekend Alex was like part bridesmaid/part wedding planner in addition to being an incredible photographer who managed to be everywhere at once.
  
  When we got our photos back only six weeks after our wedding, I immediately started crying. We had so many friends and family fly in from all over the world, and Alex perfectly captured all the emotion, excitement, and happiness of the weekend. In addition to being wonderful at taking photographs, Alex is a master storyteller. The narrative of our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and even the larger narrative of our relationship with each other and our families is so cohesive and beautiful in her photographs - it was incredible. We honestly couldn't recommend Alex any more highly - she's perfect for couples who want a photographer who can make them laugh, feel comfortable, look gorgeous, and tell their story without relying on heavily posed moments.

  Alex is amazing. She is kind and fun, and just as importantly takes incredible photographs that reflect how thoughtfully and carefully she views the world. She put both of us at ease during our engagement photo session and on our wedding day. We opted to have a second photographer, Alex’s friend Abby Lorenz, who was also phenomenal to work with. These are people I would hang out with on a regular basis – and that’s who you want capturing the most personal moments of your life. We recently received the full set of photos from our wedding and couldn't be happier with them -- Alex and Abby truly captured the spirit of a very special day for us!

  Alex(andra) Roberts is the most amazing photographer I have ever had the chance to work with (as an event coordinator and as a bride). She is so upbeat, relaxed, friendly, and has an incredible eye for the smallest detail. Without having to explain what we were looking for in a photographer or the shots we wanted, she just got us. Her second shooter, Rob, is also pretty darn awesome! We can't wait to see the photos that Alex and Rob took of our special day - we know, without a doubt, that they will be incredible! Book Alex!!!

  Alex is amazing!! I am so happy that we decided to go with her for our wedding photography. Before our wedding, Alex set up a complementary engagement shoot. To be entirely honest, the photos were ok, but not great, and that made me really worried about our wedding day. About a month before the wedding, I set up a phone call with her to discuss it. I felt so bad about it, but she surprisingly took the feedback in an amazingly professional manner. She told me that she would definitely keep them in mind on the wedding day, and also noted that she was aware of some of the things she was weaker on, and had even taken classes to improve upon them.
  
  On our wedding day, when Alex showed up, all of my worries disappeared. Alex showed up on-time and prepared. We had a very long day and 3 locations, but she handled it all really well. She even had a cast on due to an injury, but that didn't slow her down one bit!
  
  Here's the best part - we just got our photos back from her yesterday, and they were absolutely PERFECT! I'm a very very picky person, but I honestly can't say enough great things about the photos. The framing, composition, colors, poses, facial expressions, everything was perfect. Alex is a great wedding photographer because she is professional, flexible, artistic, creative, and above all, she takes feedback well. This shows that she's willing to work to improve her craft, and that she really cares about what she does. I couldn't be happier with our photos - they are priceless and I'm so glad that Alex was the one that took them. I can't recommend Alex enough!

  Here's the best part - we just got our photos back from her yesterday, and they were absolutely PERFECT! I'm a very very picky person, but I honestly can't say enough great things about the photos. The framing, composition, colors, poses, facial expressions, everything was perfect. Alex is a great wedding photographer because she is professional, flexible, artistic, creative, and above all, she takes feedback well. This shows that she's willing to work to improve her craft, and that she really cares about what she does. I couldn't be happier with our photos - they are priceless and I'm so glad that Alex was the one that took them. I can't recommend Alex enough!

  I can not say enough about the amazingness that is Alexandra Roberts! Not only is she seriously, incredibly, overwhelmingly talented she is one of the sweetest, most genuine people I have met and it was an honor to work with her to capture all of the moments of our big day.
  
  We knew the minute we met with Alex that we HAD to have her as our photographer - her ease and skill at capturing the emotions of the day and the people she is photographing, along with her great personality (which lets face it is important if you are going to spend hours being with that person on your day) where exactly what we had been looking for. Sure, she can capture an amazing detail shot, and she is a whiz with making those posed shots go by fast (thank goodness for us!), but it is really in the moments that weren't posed that her real talent shines. She made planning and everything leading up to the wedding so easy and stress free - and there is truly no one that I would have wanted there besides her to capture our day.
  
  We were lucky enough to get to know Alex more through a super fun engagement session where Alex worked to make both my wife and I feel completely comfortable in front of the camera - truly, I couldn't stop giggling - and somehow she captured the best pictures!
  
  On the day of our wedding, Alex and Lara showed up to capture pictures of everyone getting ready - and didn't leave until the last note of the last dance song was played - truly amazing! She made us feel at ease throughout our first look and captured some of the most moving pictures - they truly bring me right back to the moment and the emotion of the day. I look forward to looking back on these photos for years to come and remembering the love and joy of that day that Alex & Lara so easily caught on film!

In our very first conversation, Alex and I bonded over our strict rules for not doing the same ol', same ol', and that's exactly what we got: The photographs we now have really capture the real essence of my new hubby and me together, in a non-stuffy, cool, and authentic way.   I actually had a friend who was going to do our photos back out at the last minute without telling us, so in a panic I contacted Alex because I knew she did wedding photography and she was going to be a guest at our wedding. I had no idea how amazing her work was! The photos were beautiful, and we still get so many compliments on them. She's super sweet to work with, and half the time I didn't even notice her photographing us which led to some great candid shots. She bailed us out of what could have been a photography disaster so I promote her and her website whenever I can. I'm actually really glad our first photographer backed out because it worked out better than I'd ever hoped for!
