We worked with Alice and her team at Alice Che Photographer for both our engagement shoot at the Foothills Nature Preserve in March 2021 and our wedding day at Saratoga Springs in August 2021.
Wedding photography was one of the most important aspects of our wedding to us. So, even though Alice was a bit above our budget, we loved her work and her personality so much that we moved some other stuff around so that we could book here. :)
Alice is a true wedding professional who responded quickly to emails, gave incredible wedding planning tips, and gave clear instructions when actually taking photos. She was a fantastic mix of directing what to look or do to get nice portraits at beautiful locations and just capturing the candid moments between individuals. She also has amazing turnaround time, sending us our engagement and wedding galleries sooner than we had expected!
On the day of the wedding, Alice arrived early with her assistant and second photographer to set up and sync cameras. Somehow they were able to find perfect spots for getting ready photos and portraits at this Airbnb they had never been to before. They then traveled with us to Saratoga Springs, where they were willing to traverse the woods and rocky creekside with us to take some amazing couples portraits. Alice and her team also helped with arranging the wedding dress for portraits and made sure to get photos of every single guest, which was really important to us in hindsight. It just speaks to their expertise that they knew what would be important to capture even better than we do. Finally, they captured some amazing dance moves on camera that will make us smile for the rest of our lives.
Love Alice and if she does any non-wedding photography, would love to book her again! -

We hired Alice as the photographer for our wedding (and also our engagement shoot), and we are happy to recommend her!
I went through a lot of photographer options before deciding on Alice, and I think she was the right choice. We had two very different settings for our ceremony and reception, a very large family group for portraits, and some special requests for a lot of distinct moments that we wanted captured. Alice did a lovely job, rolling with it all and making sure to capture everything we asked for! She also took some really fun, in-the-moment photos, some beautiful flat-lays, and other photos that we didn't specifically request but are very happy to have! Every time I look through the photos I love them more.
She was very professional, well-prepared, and responsive to questions, feedback, etc. She went out of her way to make sure she could capture everything and that we would happy with the photos, and we appreciate it so much! We are thrilled and excited to share the photos with family and friends, and happy that we'll have these great shots to keep the memories alive for years to come! -

Choosing Alice to photograph our San Francisco wedding was the best decision! From the moment I first spoke with her on the phone, through engagement photos to the final delivery of our wedding photos, she has been a dream to work with. And, most importantly, our photos are STUNNING.
Alice provides such a calm, positive presence and it is such a pleasure to be around her...which is so important! On our actual wedding day, she arrived early (which was wonderful), and set to work on shooting flat lays while hair and makeup finished. (Her flat lays are stunning!) She worked with our wedding planner and assistant to make sure the timing of the day progressed correctly and that we were where we needed to be. She was also flexible with us and understanding when we needed to take breaks or have a little down time.
Alice shot in both natural light for our ceremony and indoors at night at our reception venue, and both settings came out perfectly. I also loved that she captured natural moments between us and with our families, friends and guests, as well as more traditional portraits. We looked natural and relaxed, due to her experience and guidance in the moment.
To me, choosing a wedding photographer is incredibly important since those photos are the memories you will take with you from your wedding day. We will cherish our beautiful photos for a lifetime and highly recommend Alice to any couples looking to be thrilled by what she captures on their big day. -

Alice delivered high-quality, beautiful beyond belief wedding photos for us - best photographer in bay area
Alice is hands down an amazingly talented photographer. I had a vision of what I wanted my wedding photos to look like, and she went *above and beyond* my expectations. She is extremely kind and friendly; quick to respond; showed up early for our shoot; gave great instructions for how to pose yet still look natural; is an overall blast to shoot photos for; delivered absolutely stunning, perfectly edited photos immediately after the shoot. She knew exactly how to pose us, the best angles and shots that capture the light perfectly, and is clearly very passionate about what she does. I could not have asked for a better photographer or experience for my wedding photos. Thank you Alice for capturing our beach wedding shots so beautifully and for giving us the photos of a lifetime! We are so grateful for you! -

Amazing photographer and easy to work with
When looking for photographers, we put together a list of photographers from our venue (Saratoga Springs) and sent around some example pictures to our families to vote. The choice was unanimous, everyone agreed that Alice Che’s photographs were by far the best. Her pictures always had gorgeous lighting and the couples looked at ease and natural. Our experience with Alice didn’t disappoint. For our engagement shoot, she recommended Rodeo Beach (based on our interest in a beach centered engagement shoot). The beach was absolutely spectacular and the lighting in the evening was perfect! She took the lead telling us how to stand and where to put our hands. We had not had a photo shoot before, so we needed lots of guidance! She would put us into a pose and then encourage us to interact, which made us look natural and happy in the pictures. The engagement pictures turned out better than we could have imagined and we had a hard time picking favorites! As an added bonus, Alice sent us a sneak preview of the pictures the next day!
Unfortunately, our wedding happened in the middle of a pandemic and personal circumstances meant Alice could no longer photograph our wedding. Despite this setback, she had found us a backup photographer within a day (one day!) and offered to still edit the pictures. Alice found an incredible back up photographer who had a similar style and enthusiasm that immediately put us at ease. As with the engagement pictures, Alice had sent a sneak preview of our wedding pictures by the next day and they look incredible!
Alice Che’s work really speaks for itself. All of her albums have beautiful lighting and happy, at-ease couples. But if beautiful pictures aren’t enough to sell you on Alice, her warm, excited personality, skills with making you feel at ease in front of a camera, and professionalism in finding us a new photographer should seal the deal! We could not more highly recommend Alice Che! -

Best wedding photographer
Alice is an insanely gifted wedding photographer, and a delight to work with. She is calm, professional, kind, and made us feel comfortable taking photos from the very beginning. I couldn’t have even imagined that our engagement photos and wedding photos would be as incredible as they turned out. She captured every important moment in our wedding day. She took beautiful photos of our invitations, flowers, decorations and little details that I didn’t even realize she had taken. She is a true artist and romantic at heart and has completely mastered how to use light in her photographs. She is flexible and able to take equally amazing photographs indoors and outdoors. She is one of the most talented people I have ever met, period. She is also so prompt in her communications and turn around time with photos. Our friends could not believe that she got all of our engagement and wedding photographs back to us within a week. Lastly, I’m forever grateful that she was willing to fly from San Francisco to Boston to photograph our wedding. I can’t recommend her highly enough, and would recommend her to anyone in the country looking for the best wedding photographer. -

Alice was so easy to work with and took beautiful engagement photos and wedding photos for us.
She was very responsive in answering all of our questions. She also took the time to understand what we were looking for and offered helpful suggestions along the way.
Our engagement shoot was at Point Montara and our wedding at Saratoga Springs. Alice was already very knowledgeable about both locations and knew the best spots (and times of day) for the best shots. Alice’s familiarity with Saratoga Springs on the best locations and times to take photos greatly helped us plan out wedding day logistics
We got a bit unlucky with the weather during both the engagement shoot (smog) and the wedding (rain), but Alice worked expertly around the weather and the photos came out beautifully and full of color. Alice knew exactly how to direct us on where and how to stand to capture the best lighting and moments. We had a great time during the photo shoots - Alice was easygoing and fun to talk to and made us feel relaxed and comfortable.
The turnaround time for photos was also incredibly quick! Alice provided us with a quick sneak peek almost immediately after the photo shoots, and we got the photos within a week. Her blog post was also a wonderful summary of the wedding that we joyfully shared with friends and family.
Overall, we had an amazing experience with Alice and would 100% recommend her! -

She put us at ease and made the whole experience comfortable and fun! Plus, the photos are more than stunning! From the first email contact through to the delivery of the final photo album, she was always extremely responsive and reliable. She answered all of our questions and made the process seem simple and easy. And the best part of all, the pictures from the wedding day came out amazing, we are so thrilled with the photos and the album! Alice has a great eye and attention to detail, she was able to capture more amazing photos than we could have ever imagined. Choosing Alice Che as our wedding photographer was the best decision that we could have ever made. She was sweet, easygoing and a pleasure to work with. Alice is the best!

Hannah Sent on 12/14/2017Alice did our wedding photos and engagement shoot and we could not be happier with the results. She took the time to listen to us and really understood the vibe we were going for so the pictures look like pictures of us instead of being stiff or seeming unnatural. Alice has a real talent for capturing light and will take you anywhere you're willing to go to find it.
At our engagement shoot she ended up walking through mud to get us beautiful lighting for the woodsy pictures we wanted and then raced to the top of twin peaks to get some amazing shots before sunset. At our wedding she led us out into the middle of a field next to our venue to get some sunset shots that ended up being a few of my favorites.
Alice is very sweet and easy going and makes something that could be totally awkward (posing in front of a stranger for photos) very relaxing and fun.
The pictures all came out beautifully and family and friends who couldn't make it to the wedding have all enjoyed reading the blog post she put together.
A few other things I want to mention about our experience:
-Alice was incredibly responsive during the entire process and very flexible with scheduling for the engagement shoot
-There was a very quick turn around time between the engagement shoot/wedding and when we got the pictures which was awesome
-Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of service and photos
Alice is an awesome person and incredibly talented, you will NOT be disappointed. -
