  Amazing quality and personalized service

  Alisa and her team went above and beyond to not only deliver the photos of our dreams but help to ensure the day went smoothly from start to finish. We had the privilege of working with Alisa for our engagement photos as well as our wedding day, and she truly delivered beautiful photos that we will cherish forever. We had many phone calls leading up to the day in which we discussed my priorities, specific shot list, etc. to make sure all of my boxes were ticked off and that we also had time to enjoy our cocktail hour with our guests and not feel like we wasted a second of our day. I would absolutely recommend her to any bride and groom looking for a personalized photograph experience.

  Professional and chill!

  With a 90% chance of thunderstorms forecasted for our wedding day, Alisa showed her true skills in organization and efficiency. It DID rain (a LOT!) just 2 hours before our wedding ceremony, which delayed us a bit, but she didn’t stress – nor did she let me do so! We ended up doing an impromptu photo shoot at my parents’ house with the dogs before leaving that we hadn’t planned to do, and they turned out being some of the cutest photos! We then had to really hustle once we got to the wedding venue, and had to carefully navigate the recently-soaked grass/walkways/everything… but she allowed it all to go so smoothly! She put our needs first and was excellent at keeping us on schedule. She and our day-of-coordinator, Ashley (House of Gather), worked fantastically together to somehow, miraculously NOT let us get behind schedule despite the circumstances. She even stayed an extra half hour to make sure the job was well done, which shows how she does her job above and beyond. I’d highly recommend her services! She is an incredible person as well as photographer, and is always excited to help you out with any other aspects of the wedding planning as well!

  Alisa was beyond incredible. She was everything you hope for when booking a photographer - sweet, talented, professional, organized, and possessing the ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She shot our destination wedding in the Bahamas and also did an early morning engagement shoot with us. She captured so many wonderful moments, and the quality and airy aesthetic of her photos speak for themselves. She has the knowledge and demeanor of a professional - she was prepared, precise and organized throughout the entire wedding day both blending into the background while also making helpful suggestions to help keep us on track. Thank you so much Alisa for capturing our day and being so fantastic to work with!

  Alisa is an amazing person inside and out! She did our entire crazy wedding all the way in Rome, Italy! She did it at my maxed out puny budget and did it with such pleasure. I will never forget her creativity for the shots, all of the extra perks she had offered us, the professionalism and graciousness. She was super important part of my wedding day- she was so on point even to understanding feelings/emotions through expression. In the end her work turned out totally magical. Her packaging of the photos, the gold key USB of the high res and lower resolution photos was just impeccable. Oh! And the cloud storage that stays online forever! SO MUCH VALUE for your investment. She captured such pure joy and happiness from that day considering so many different peoples perspectives. She is a true talent and if you're considering a wedding photographer, for ANY WHERE in the world, please save yourself the hassle and look no further.

  Blackbird Foto did our engagement photos. Alisa was very accommodating, flexible, and most importantly, a true professional.
  
  I was little afraid on how the pictures would turn out because we were not "pros" in front of the camera. Luckily, we had professionals guiding us.

  Selecting a photographer for our wedding was not easy. We wanted a very particular style - airy, editorial, romantic - but had the challenge of a popular date and a somewhat restrictive budget. Alisa came through for us in every way. She is a pleasure to work with - she truly takes pride in her craft and recognizes that you only get one chance to get it right. Our photos (both digital and film) were simply stunning and she captured everything we wanted in just the perfect way. She delivered previews to us extremely quickly, which we actually got to enjoy on the last night of our honeymoon! But I think what makes working with Alisa so special is that she really goes above and beyond the call of duty. She surprised us on our wedding day with a calligraphy of our first dance song lyrics, and photographed it with the rings and other small details. She brought in her own ribbon and small boxes to style mini vignettes. And when she sent us our photos…well, that was the icing on an already amazingly delicious cake. I was expecting to receive a USB stick with our photos but was surprised with several beautiful prints, a framed photo, gorgeous trinket box, and more. It just got better and better. I have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about Alisa and would recommend her again and again!

  We really wanted a natural, relaxed feel to our photos for our engagement and wedding pics - and Alisa was our top choice! We are so thrilled with the photos from both - and it was a true joy to work with Alisa. She was professional, flexible, fun to work with, not to mention a fantastic photographer. Our photos are gorgeous and will be a source of happy memories for the rest of our lives. She's also a lovely person and that also makes it so easy to work with her and feel comfortable in front of the camera. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

  We heard about Alisa while viewing possible venues, and while the venue didn't make the cut Alisa did and we couldn't have been happier! She is so sweet, professional, and accommodating. She goes above and beyond and she truly loves what she does which you can feel and it definitely comes out in her photos. She cares about making you happy and working with you on not only her prices but the feel of the whole day. She came to our venue not once, but twice even watched the sunset with me to show me how the pictures would come out. We had a second party photographer and he was also great, fun spirited and caught some great moments. So lucky to have them both at our wedding.

She was very thoughtful in keeping in contact with scheduling and shot set-up, even visiting the venue before the event to consider the best locations for pictures. I was lucky to have her and Chris both and I can't say enough nice things. Just check out her website/blog - you'll see enough to convince you to hire her! :)

  Working with Alisa at Blackbird was one of the best experiences we have ever had. I have worked with several photographers over the years for various events but none as professional and outstanding as Alisa. We recently received our photos from our wedding on 8/30/14 and we have never seen more amazing creativity and expertise than with these photos. Alisa took pictures of things we would have never thought to take. The special touches were awesome and she caught all the fun moments too! I would never use another photographer!

  Working with Alisa at Blackbird was one of the best experiences we have ever had. We recently received our photos from our wedding on 8/30/14 and we have never seen more amazing creativity and expertise than with these photos.   Alisa of Blackbird Foto is such a talented photographer! She did both our engagement shoot and our wedding day photos and the pictures are absolutely breath taking. She has a knack for capturing some amazingly candid moments and I will always cherish the pictures she took. Not only is she great at what she does, she is very relaxed and easy to work with. When taking posed pictures, she made my husband and I feel very comfortable. When taking reception pictures, she barely made herself noticed so as to get the best, candid pictures. Her quality of service far exceeded what I was expecting and she is willing to work within the couple's budget...overall, 5 stars!

  I just received my wedding photos from Blackbird Foto and I love them! Ugh.... I'm so happy!
  
  To be honest, I didn't look that hard for photographers. I found Blackbird Foto because I was having my wedding at the South Beach Marriott and Blackbird Foto was the recommended photography company. Meeting with Alisa sealed the deal for me, because I felt very comfortable around her, and now that the wedding is over, I'm so happy we went with her!
  
  Obviously the most important thing was the quality of the photos. The lighting was great and she caught a lot of great moments. But you can check out her website to judge her work for yourself. The two things we were most impressed with were:
  
  1.) Alisa is great combination of talent and professionalism. It's not easy herding around 9 bridesmaids and groomsmen (especially after they've had a couple drinks) but Alisa was super efficient and helped organize everyone so we could get all the pictures I wanted.
  
  2.) I have about three poses in my repertoire, so I was really happy that Alisa took control sometimes and helped position me and my husband when we were taking private portraits.

  Alisa is an amazing person and photographer. She will work with you every little detail until you get what you are looking for. Flexible schedule and reasonable price!   Wow. Just wow! Alisa was fantastic. She was professional throughout the entire process. What a creative eye!!! She went outside of the box with our shots and really created some amazing pictures. Thanks Alisa for making an amazing day something we'll never forget!!

  Not only are her pictures beautiful but she is so easy to work with. My fiance and I are not very comfortable in front of the camera, but Alisa made it so easy. She was extremely accessible which was huge for me since I pretty much live in another state. My fiance and I had a VERY limited amount of time to take photos for our engagement and Alisa was a true professional and a champ running to 4 different locations during rush hour traffic. Pictures are such a huge part of your wedding memory and you won't have any regrets if you choose Blackbird Foto.

  Alisa at Blackbird Foto was a pleasure to work with! My fiance and I had one-hour engagement photo shoot and it was so worth it. Alisa was training her assistant Chris, who was great as well. We had a terrific experience & got beautiful photos, so I would recommend their services for any professional photography!

She did all of this and the results were great. We have so many beautiful digital and film photos from our wedding. She was also extremely available leading up to the event date, for meetings, etc. She also had great ideas and input for various settings for portraits, etc. I highly recommend Alisa for any bride and groom!
