  Alison is wonderful!!! I have had my makeup done professionally only a few times, and I am always nervous that I will end up looking unrecognizable. With Alison I felt like I looked like myself, but better, brighter, and with perfectly balanced healthy skin :). Alison is sweet, lovely to talk to, and also did my mother's hair and makeup (my mother who NEVER wears makeup was also very pleased and comfortable), my sister's hair, and my niece's hair. She did an amazing job on everyone, and did my makeup and hair a second time for a day after shoot. Also impressive - although my makeup was light and comfortable - it stayed on the whole night! She is wonderful to have with you on your wedding morning! Alison is incredibly talented and you will be totally satisfied if you work with her!

  Alison is wonderful!!! I have had my makeup done professionally only a few times, and I am always nervous that I will end up looking unrecognizable.   It was such a pleasure working with Alison. She is such a sweet person with a warm heart and talented as well. I met Alison with my parents at her studio for a trial session for hair and makeup. I didn't have any ideas of how I wanted my makeup done except for "I want to look like I am wearing makeup but the makeup is not wearing me" and with that little statement she worked her magic. Then came the hair. I thought I wanted it one way but after seeing it, my mother and I decided it wasn't me and tried another option which worked. I have long, thick, wavy hair which frizzes with humidity. Alison was able to straighten and curl it. The curl stayed and my hair did not frizz.
  
  Also day of when Alison saw my dress in person for the first time, she said it was more couture than she expected and recommended making my makeup a bit more dramatic. So she did a heavier eye and a softer lip, which worked out well. She also did my mom's hair and makeup which turned out beautiful too.

  Alison was so wonderful to work with, from the first consult up until the final day. Accommodated to whatever we wanted and it was such a privilege to have her there on our special day. So friendly and warm-hearted!

  My friend had used her as her stylist in her wedding, so I knew that I was going to look great on my wedding day. We did a trial run a few days before my wedding day just so I could see what my hair and makeup would look like. She was nice enough to take my hair down again and curl it because it was also the night of my bachelorette party.
  
  Well the makeup and hair withstood my wacky night out, so I knew it would last on the wedding day. Alison arrived promptly on the wedding day. She had five of us to work with and she had another event prior to ours. This meant that she had to complete the hair and makeup in three and a half hours. She definitely got it done in time, but done to perfection. I was really impressed with how fast she worked and how nice everything turned out. We all had updos and all of ours lasted through the night. It was also very comfortable having my hair up. I've been in another wedding and I had a headache because there were too many pins. I had a very easy time taking my hair down that night.
  
  I highly recommend Alison! One of my bridesmaids was so happy with her services, she had Alison do her makeup for her engagement pictures two days after my wedding. I have another wedding reception coming up this weekend, and I wish I wasn't so far away from Hawaii. I would love to have Alison do my makeup again.

  Feel & Look Beautiful, Inside and Out!
  
  Having worked with many makeup artists throughout the US, Europe and Asia, including those whose clients include pop celebrities and socialites, I have found Alison to be one of the best of her kind. Not only is she able to bring out the best in you, she is also a pleasure to work with.
  
  After a transpacific long-haul flight from East Asia to Hawaii, I wanted to make sure I look my freshest as an attendant/Scripture reader at one of my best friend's/cousin's wedding. I decided on Alison after thumbing through reviews and websites of the top makeup artists based in Honolulu. I contacted her less than a month in advance before the event and was relieved to find out that she had some free time prior to another wedding on the same day that she had committed to.
  
  The appointment was efficiently arranged via emails. I just showed up at her studio and let Alison do her magic :) I was very impressed that she was using techniques that I had previously thought wouldn't work on me, such as applying the eyeliner on just the outside of my eyelids rather than both the inside and the outside. Her steady hands as someone formally trained in art allowed her to glue each eyelash extension one strand at a time, with precision. Her custom blends of foundation and powder felt as comfortable as a second layer of skin.
  
  She was also very skilled and expedient with handling my hair. Even though the makeup + hair session lasted only for a little over an hour, both the makeup and hairstyle withstood the scourge of sporadic rainfall throughout the day.
  
  Finally, Alison has such a glowing and warm personality -- just like Hawaii's weather at its best. I'm confident that you would enjoy working with her!

  We had a destination wedding in Honolulu, Hawaii. After reading many positive reviews about Alison, I choose her to do my wedding hair and makeup, as well my maid of honour, mom and mother-in-law.
  
  I decided to do a makeup trial and it looked so great and allowed us to talk through what would be done on the day. I felt so gorgeous, I loved the natural style of my makeup as well as my hair – she made me look like myself, but better! I had so many compliments on how beautiful I looked on the day.
  
  What was even more special was how beautiful my mom and mother-in-law looked and felt.
  
  Alison has a calming nature and I felt relaxed and at ease. She was punctual, so friendly – I feel lucky to have been able to book her for my wedding day.

  Working with Alison was truly great for me. I am someone who almost never wears makeup or dresses up for fancy events, so when it came to getting married, I was really afraid of wearing makeup and looking completely different. After a couple of depressing attempts of trying to do my own makeup or doing makeup with my family member, I decided to try looking for someone who could help me out with hair and makeup. When I asked my photographer for suggestions, emphasizing that I wanted to wear minimal makeup, and look as natural as possible, he immediately suggested Alison with Kiss & Makeup.
  
  Admittedly, the most challenging part of working with Alison is probably the lack or delay in response when it comes to calling or email. It took me quite a while to get a hold of someone, to get information about costs, and to set up an appointment. I think she has an assistant who handles most of that. If you can work with this challenge, I highly recommend Alison. She did a really great job both at my trial and for the day of. My hair and makeup were exactly how I wanted it -- I told her I didn't want to look like a better me -- I wanted to look like me! She was able to do my makeup in a way that I felt beautiful, comfortable (the makeup didn't irritate or anything), and she was really sensitive about issues relating to eczema, sensitive skin, pulling hair causing migraine headaches etc. The day, my hair, and my makeup went off without a hitch, despite the strong winds at our venue. I loved working with Alison -- she is personable, such fun to chat with, she really listens to and tries to do what you want, and she made something that I was dreading, a really enjoyable process. It's no wonder that she has so many brides that become future repeat customers who come in for eyebrow shaping and makeup. Please don't get discouraged if you have trouble getting in contact. She is definitely worth it.
