  Golden girl, golden heart, golden hour!

  There is no way to describe how thankful I am that I had Amanda and Mike with us on our special day. It truly feels like you have your two best friends taking your photos. Amanda is the hype girl we all need in our life. Her positive energy just radiates off of her. It makes everyone instantly comfortable (no worries about stiff or uncomfortable photos). She knows how to capture MOMENTS. Our photos allow me to feel the same way I felt on my wedding day. Hiring Amanda was my first decision as a bride (I emailed her the day after I was engaged). I could go on and on, but I think it is clear, Amanda is the best!

  There will never be enough time to write a review that encompasses how fantastic Amanda and Mike are...as individuals they are incredibly sweet, as professionals incredibly talented, and as a team incredibly AMAZING!!! From beginning to end Amanda was open to answering all questions I had in a timely and friendly manner. On the day of our engagement session and wedding she made sure to capture all of the big moments and the smaller fun moments in between! We will never use any other photographer here on out and will ALWAYS recommend them to anyone who asks!!

  Going into the wedding planning process I knew that photography was going to be one of our our larger budget items. The importance of having images that capture your day from start to finish was so important to me. Once all the parties, gifts and Instagram likes fade- I wanted a piece of the day, our day to share with my children and their children. I had followed Amanda on social media for some time and had always felt connected to her story and her love of our favorite place. I thought her photos were beautiful and her family was adorable, but never in my life did I think that by connecting with her via email (the best way to get on touch with her - amanda@amandahedgepeth.com) would change my life. Yes, that may sound dramatic, but if you are looking for a photographer that loves, love. Who loves and serves her clients fiercely, who can make your love story jump out of a photo - Amanda is your girl! I can't thank her and Mike enough for their guidance, patience and ability to harness their God given talents in a way that makes everyone around them feel like a million bucks.

  Amanda is absolutely incredible! The second you meet her it's like you've known her forever. She is so kind, accommodating, and thoughtful! On your wedding day you spend a good amount of time with your photographer and I can tell you there is no one I would have rather spent a lot of our day with then Amanda and her husband, Mike. We were staying in the Outerbanks for the week before the wedding and when our section of OBX flooded earlier in the week she was the first to message me and check to see if everything was OK and if she could do anything for us. She goes above and beyond to make your day as amazing as it can be. Our pictures are ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! There are so many for us to look at and share with our families and friends. She is an incredible person and you would be so lucky to have her be a part of your special day! Could not recommend her more!

  Not only does she have an artistic and creative eye that catches inspirational angles, but Amanda and her husband are a dream to work with. They’re professional, very thoughtful, flexible and creative, but also really good, genuine people. My husband and I had little experience in front of a camera but working with Amanda made us feel like pros and we had so much fun shooting with her. We were so happy with our engagement photos - the versatility, creativity, and way she truly captured “us” was incredible. We can’t wait to see our wedding photos! I caught a glimpse of her day-of slide show and burst into tears the photos were so beautiful.

  My wife and I are wedding photographers ourselves, and my sole income is via our photography. That being said, photography was very important to me when planning a vow renewal this year and I spent a LOT of time searching for a photographer and I was very very choosy. Once I found Amanda though, I knew I had found the best photographer on the Outer Banks. I wish I found her earlier in my search because I spent a few afternoons searching! I could tell by her photos that she knew what she was doing in regards to camera and lighting. I was able to tell that she could handle photography even if the lighting wasn't ideal. There are many photographers out there that only show photos taken under easy, perfect lighting. Amanda is able to work with any lighting and still produce stellar images. Furthermore, her editing skills keep her work far above the rest. While some photographers can take nice photos, being able to edit them to a high level is a skill that not all possess.
  
  On our big day, Amanda was very friendly and was able to take a lot of photos in a shorter amount of time. We have 4 boys, and her fun personality let our kids trust her and be comfortable with her taking photos. If we had a different photographer I'm positive the photos would have been much different. Our kids would have been more worried about what was going on, and wouldn't have relaxed and had fun. My wife and I enjoyed having our photos taken too. It is not common for us to be on the other side of the camera, yet our nerves were put at ease and we all had such a great time together. Now that our vow renewal is over, and we are home again we know that the photos are the most valuable thing we have. I would highly recommend Amanda for your wedding or any special occasion!

  Amanda is AMAZING!!! When my Wedding Planner suggested Amanda she had no doubt that Amanda was the perfect choice for us! After a Skype call with her and her adorable and pretty little one I knew she was right!! She is professional, creative, fun, so passionate about what she does that it definitely makes you feel relaxed! We had a blast to work with her!! She helped make our day the amazing day it was and thanks to her we will have memories to cherish forever!

  Amanda was the most awesome person I could have asked for to shoot my wedding. She is very bubbly, personable, and one of the sweetest people I know. She is amazing at what she does, and the heart she puts into her photography shows. She is an amazing person, and that in itself makes your day go more smooth. She is one of the best photographers that I know. I couldn't have been any happier with her. She handled the extreme heat, being pregnant (which is super adorable by the way), and then crazy thunderstorms. My pictures reflect nothing but love and the most amazing love. I love love love her. She has become an amazing friend. She did everything she could to make my day the most amazing. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

  Undoubtedly the VERY best choice that we made when choosing wedding vendors. Not only is her work AMAZING but she is the sweetest & most energetic person ever.   Amanda is without a doubt the sweetest vendor I have ever met!!! She was the FIRST thing I booked for my wedding, more than a year in advance, and I was sooooo excited throughout the whole process anytime I talked to her. Every time I told another vendor she was my photographer they were so excited to get a chance to work with her and it made me proud to be one of her BRIDES! The day of, she made me feel at ease the second she walked through the door. All of my bridesmaids loved her and she even managed to make the groom not hate pictures, a serious victory that I am still working on!!! The images from the day were so absolutely beautiful, and she made everyone feel so special and at ease everyone loved her. The best part is that she made me feel so comfortable, the pictures are me, just as I was, no staging no fake smiles, just true happiness. I am so grateful to have these pictures to remind me of the happiest day of my life, captured in the best way possible! THANK YOU AMANDA!!!

  I love everything about her! I have sent out several referrals and will continue to do so!! if you love natural, fun, exciting, natural light, colors, happiness all to be brought out in your photos then this is your girl! She is soooo sweet & just an all around good person & I love everything about her!

  Are you looking for colorful, candid, and gorgeous wedding images? Do you want your photographer to make you feel completely at ease? Do you want to laugh, smile, and feel beautiful while being photographed? Then, Amanda is your girl! I can't say enough wonderful things about Amanda Hedgepeth Photography! From my very first email with Amanda, I was sure she was the right choice for my wedding photographer. She's incredibly responsive, kind, organized, and wildly talented! Amanda is so invested in her brides, and she'll make you feel loved and adored. She was wonderful at recommending vendors, giving wedding suggestions, and keeping me calm during my wedding planning process. After meeting her for the first time at our engagement session (included in the wedding package), I considered her a friend! She made my husband and I feel so relaxed! We were able to completely be ourselves, and the images truly displayed our love. We LOVED every picture! Also, her turn around time was crazy fast!! When the wedding day came around, she was early, organized, and on her game! So many of our guests complimented Amanda's professional, kind, and bubbly attitude! She had over 150 images blogged only 3 days after our wedding, and we were BLOWN away! It was like we were reliving our wedding day through her images. Her photographs are colorful, fun, flirty, and beautiful! Choosing Amanda Hedgepeth as our photographer was definitely our best wedding decision!

  I can't say enough nice things about Amanda! She did our engagement photos, bridal portraits, wedding pictures, and did our 1 year anniversary! She is just a ball full of sunshine and such a great girl to work with! From the day we showed interest in hiring her, she was very prompt in responding to our emails and through those emails, I felt as if I had known her for years! Amanda was very professional everytime we took photos, but she also kept things fun and easy! She even respected the crazy rules of the church for our wedding, but was still able to get the perfect pictures. I really can't imagine choosing anyone else for pictures as she isn't just a photographer, she's become a part of our family!

  The Amanda Hedgepeth experience is nothing short of extraordinary. Amanda is not only incredible at what she does--she has a beautiful soul and her passion for photography shines through in her photos.   The day I got engaged I emailed Amanda because I knew I HAD to book her as my wedding photographer! She is an amazing photographer and every photo she takes is beautiful!! She is so sweet and was so helpful with the whole wedding planning process. Amanda took my engagements, bridals, and wedding photos and I LOVE them all!!! She made me feel so beautiful in every photo and really captured the love between my husband and I. Amanda was so much fun to work with and I'm lucky enough to call her a friend now. :)

  Amanda Hedgepeth was AMAZING!! From the beginning...first emails of contact, meeting about what our wedding vision was, asking if we needed help with anything along the way, etc. She was there. She captured every detail of the wedding. I can look back and see our seaside love story unfold through her images.

  Amanda is just a trully amazing individual. I originally booked her because her style of photography was exactly what I had in mind for capturing our big day. I wanted someone who would capture the real emotions of the day, as it really happened, rather than have stiff, posed shots. Amanda did exactly that, and so much better than I could have imagined. Our love an happiness seems to radiate out of her images from our wedding day.
  
  I would absolutely recommend Amanda Hedgepeth to anyone who is looking for happy, bright, real images of their wedding day. The quality of her work is just amazing and I had my images within days of the event - not weeks, not months.
  
  She came as a recommendation from a colleague/friend who had been a guest at a wedding Amanda had shot the year before. You know you've found a gem of a photographer when even the guests at a wedding will tell you how nice she is. What I didn't realize was that on top of Amanda's amazing talent and professionalism, I was also hiring someone who would become a friend. Wedding planning can be pretty challenging and having a cheerleader like Amanda there to provide support and encouragement is priceless.
