We had our wedding at the Americus and it was absolutely beautiful. The reception was everything we wanted and the staff were a pleasure to work with. They answered all our questions, no matter how many we asked, and really made the experience a pleasure. They were really there as a support, through and through. The service was great. We never felt like we were asking too many questions or had too high of a demand. The venue itself is beautiful with the preserved architecture and art. It is a gem in the Lehigh Valley. -

Phenomenal event at Americus to celebrate 11 Muhlenberg College graduates. Anne, the event coordinator, was so helpful and created a seamless event for our families. The food was superb, the 11th floor Skyline ballroom was beautiful, and the service was excellent. The entire staff at the Americus is outstadning and so welcoming. Having stayed many times over the years, we were so thrilled to this memorable event at Americus and it exceeded our expectations. Thank you! -

My husband and I held our Wedding event at the Americus Hotel in Allentown, PA on 02/24/2024. We had about 160 guests stay at the hotel which made the whole wedding weekend feel like one giant party and there was no concerns about drinking and driving. We held our Rehearsal Dinner at the Sky Ballroom on the top floor hosting about 60 people. The dinner was delicious and the room was beautiful. Afterwards we had a welcome cocktail hour at the main lobby bar area for the majority of our guests that had checked in. Our cocktail hour and wedding reception was held inside the Historic Grand Ballroom and everything was absolutely gorgeous! We decided to go with the "Strolling Reception" with the Pasta station and the Carving station and it was a big hit with our guests! After the reception we had an after-party at the Main Lobby Bar right outside of the ballroom. I was planning my wedding from California which certainly had its challenges but luckily I had Anne, the Events Manager at the Americus and she was an absolute dream to work with. She made herself available for calls, FaceTime walk-throughs and she was prompt in answering any emails I sent. As I mentioned our entire wedding party was staying at the Americus Hotel and they graciously provided a group rate discount as incentive for our guests to book with them. Our wedding day was perfect from begging to end. The decor, the food, the drinks, everything was amazing. We have received so many compliments from our wedding guests telling us that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to. They loved the hotel, loved the venue, loved the food! I couldn't recommend the Americus Hotel enough! If you decide to have your wedding here, you won't regret it! 5 STARS! Best day of our lives! -

Amazing experience
The Americus was amazing to work with, from start to finish. They were very responsive in the planning process and service the weekend of the wedding was AMAZING. Not to mention, the venue itself was absolutely gorgeous and the food was delicious. I could rave about every little detail involved in the process and weekend and day of. Highly recommend!! -

Dream Wedding
You will always have hiccups but one thing this team will do is be there right along with you! They catered to every detail! The food was such a delight! Our guest could not stop telling us how big the steak was lol. Everything was worth it! The staff smile and none were rude but pleasant! Highly recommend! -

My wife and I held our daughter's wedding at Americus. It is hard for us to put into words how happy we are with Americus. There wasn't a single engagement we've had with the hotel's staff over the course of months where we didn't feel cared for, accommodated, and supported.
The venue is beautiful, the staff is fantastic, and the food was delicious as we kept hearing from our guests. We absolutely recommend Americus. -

A fairytale wedding venue!
We recently hosted our wedding reception at the Americus Hotel, accompanied by a room block of 20+ guests.
Our reception was phenomenal. Our wedding coordinator needed to cancel last minute, but fortunately, the Americus’s staff was more than happy and eager to jump in and help us with the entire setup of the reception decor without us even needing to ask. Both the General Manager (Ken) and the Rooms Manager (Danny) were awesome to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process.
This venue is an absolute stunner! The 1920s original decor and mentions of Allentown history in the grand ballroom make it a one of a kind space that needs minimal additional attention. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous it was. We had our cocktail hour in Windows on 6th, where we enjoyed the sunlight and original floor to ceiling windows. Later, we entered via the large staircase, which was quite the show stopper.
The wait staff at the Americus is immaculate. We have had multiple meals at their restaurant - holiday meals, brunch, menu tasting, dinners, etc. - and every time, the wait staff has been very respectful and a delight to speak with. Their service has been exceptional, and the quality of meals top notch. This was the same for our wedding, the food was an absolute hit, and the service made you feel like you were being welcomed into their home.
Every element of our wedding at the Americus hotel was perfect, and I could not recommend it enough! -

I recently had my wedding at the Americus Hotel in Allentown, and I cannot say enough good things about this stunning venue. From start to finish, the team at the Americus Hotel was accommodating, easy to work with, and so helpful.
Anne, my coordinator, was fantastic and made everything happen flawlessly. She was professional, organized, and always available to answer my questions. Nancy was also wonderful and made sure that my guest rooms were immaculate. Danny was patient with us and helped us every step of the way.
The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, with 1927 decor and aesthetic that wowed my guests. The staff is amazing, and their attention to detail made our day perfect.
Overall, I highly recommend the Americus Hotel to anyone looking for a stunning and unforgettable wedding venue. The staff went above and beyond to make our day special, and we will cherish the memories forever. I give the Americus Hotel a five-star rating and cannot thank them enough for their exceptional service.

To put it quite simply, we were blown away by everything about this hotel!
My first steps inside this charming hotel in downtown Allentown had entranced me, and I immediately hoped that my fiance and I would be able to have our reception here. It is such an elegant, idyllic hotel lobby, inviting without being intimidating!
The lobby bar is well situated, and then big glass windows and doors lead into the ballroom. It is a great ballroom for a wedding reception, it accommodated for us about 180 guests. My husband and I made our entrance down a grand staircase too! but that's just all the reception space stuff, let me quickly mention that my husband and I - and our families and our vendors and guests were treated so well not just by the wedding coordinator or chef but all the way down to the least of servers.
I will quickly speak to the other aspects of this venue but I really need to rave about how nice the people are; from Albert and his wife Anne who both own and labored to restore this hotel to any of the servers or valets. Nancy the director of sales also was so helpful and was very receptive to what I wanted - and I am very detail-oriented! Their in-house decorator Lori helped us rent the materials for our centerpieces and put them together. Even the sort of ridiculous request they obliged - a space for the groom and his groomsmen to assemble the morning of the wedding - and provided a TV!
Valets made navigating downtown parking virtually a non-factor. The bartenders were generous, Kevin the head chef and his crew made amazing hors d'oeuvres and then followed up with a very delicious buffet dinner. Also without spoiling anything for the bride and groom, they are so nice all the way through the end of the night with a heartfelt touch.
My husband and I love these people and we will be visiting throughout the years and are very excited to stay there for our 1st anniversary. This is the type of place you go back and show your newborn children. We have really grown to know these people as our friends. Kevin will even let us order more of those hors d'ouveres!!!!

Best Decision We Ever Made!
We chose to have our wedding at The Americus Hotel and it was the best decision that we made for our wedding. From the start, Anne and Nancy were a pleasure to work with. Whenever we had any questions they were just a phone call/text message/email away. They were very responsive and got back to us within 24 hours. Walking into the hotel, it is beautiful designed with updated furniture. You can almost smell how fresh everything was. We had about 250 guests at our wedding and dinner was served to each of our guests in under one hour. Everyone was complimenting us on our food choices and signature drinks. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The food came out absolutely delicious and hot (as promised). After dinner we spent the entire evening mingling with our guests and dancing. Everyone had an amazing time! That evening we and a few of our guests got hotel rooms for the weekend. The rooms were very clean and were decorated with modern furniture. The next morning, we ate breakfast at Windows on 6th and the food and staff were immaculate. We were almost sad to leave The Americus Hotel that evening for our honeymoon. We started to feel we were already on our vacation! We are so glad that we chose The Americus Hotel for our wedding weekend. We couldn't imagine a better place to host our picture perfect day. Thank you to all of the staff, bartenders, management, chefs, etc. that made this the best day of our lives! -

My husband and I had our reception 7/3/2022 at the Americus. I cannot recommend them enough! It is truly a grand venue which they preserved all the beautiful characteristics of the building. The staff … from the owner to the servers… go above and beyond! Welcoming and accommodating don’t even begin to describe them! They truly will work with you! They made all our wants and needs happen. Everyone at our reception had the best time, we celebrated all night. The convenience of valet, hotel rooms and ballroom were unparalleled. The rooms were beautifully redone, spacious and clean. There are countless photo opportunities in the building which made the transition from ceremony to reception smooth. I never thought I would have my reception in the city but now I could not imagine a better venue to host my important events. -
