  These guys are AMAZING!!! My fiance took my grandmother's ring there to clean it up and make it a little more modern, and I couldn't have imagined anything more perfect than what they did!! The ring looks FABULOUS:) My whole family was in tears when they saw how beautiful that it was. What an awesome tribute to my grandmother, and so glad that they could make it happen!!! We are working with them now for the wedding rings and really couldn't be any happier with everything that they have to offer!!

  Absolutely beautiful setting. They worked so hard with my fiance to create the most perfect ring I have ever seen. They were so diligent and just wanted to make sure my ring was exactly what he knew I would want. Going back soon to get a wedding band made to match this beautiful setting!

  Our rings are amazing. We met with Kyle prior to our engagement to look at various ring styles - I picked out the band I liked and my husband selected my stone on a separate visit. It was breathtaking. Kyle also helped us pick our wedding bands and ensured we were completely satisfied before we walked out the door. I will return to Ames Silversmithing for any of our jewelry needs.

  My grandmother started an add-a-pearl necklace for me and never finished it - she died two summers ago and we were getting married on her and my grandfather's anniversary. I wanted to do something special as a tribute to them (it would've been their 63rd year together) and decided I wanted to wear the pearls she had given me. Since they were not a full strand, I needed to have something done to make the necklace look complete - either buy enough pearls to make a full strand or have them separated somehow.
  
  My fiance decided he wanted to do this for me as a wedding gift. I went to Ames Silversmithing and asked told them what I wanted - a "floating" pearl necklace and cascading earrings. They helped fit me for a chain, measure the distance between each pearl on the necklace and the length for each strand in the earrings. When I picked it up it was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything better - it was just as I imagined and it was the perfect accessory for my wedding. They did a great job, listened to everything I had to say, gave me suggestions and did exactly what I wanted. It was also very reasonably priced.

  I really enjoyed our experience here! We already had a diamond because we were using his grandmothers diamond and they were very helpful while trying to figure out a design for my engagement ring. I had a specific design in mind and they found something similar in size at the store so I could get an idea of what it might look like. The price was much lower than I thought it would be for a custom ring! They ordered the ring and had it done within a week, way earlier than they said it would be. They went above and beyond a told me about the unique markers the diamond had and even estimated a value. We will definitely be going back for the wedding bands!!

  I am changing my review. They are great at talking to you and figuring out the design and style that would be best for you. But that is where it ends. They wrote down the information of the rings we wanted and we decided to go with his wedding band right away and wait on mine. Even after going through all the ddetails three different times they still ordered the wrong ring. Luckily i was the one picking it up and told them right away and they sent it back and got the right one. It was a custom size so I'm sure they took a hit for that. Then we moved out of state but still wanted to get the band for my ring so we called in to order it. My husband was charged with a different price than what we had been told so I called to make sure it was the right band we were getting. It was supposed to have a subtle curve so that it could sit right next to my engagement ring and curve around the stones. The person on the phone assured me that was what I was getting as he had it right in the store already. My mom who lives in ames picked it up for us and brought it up for the wedding. I did not see it until the night before the wedding to find that they had given us the wrong ring. There was no curve. It was too late to do anything right then so as soon as we got home from our honeymoon I called them to get this figured out. They took over a week to get back to me and their answer was that I had the ring I had ordered... I am in the process of trying to return the band they sold me and will be going elsewhere to get the correct band. This is what I had said previously if you want to see.
  "They were awesome at showing us ideas within our price range. They also do amazing custom designs that we plan to go back for an upgrade in the future!"
  Don't let them trick you with their helpful demeanor as they are not likely to follow through.
