Archana designed and made our wedding cake recently. We had a chinese-indian wedding at Snug Harbor so we wanted something asian. She made an amazing cake that had a red dragon spiralling up a three tiered cake. It looked like a work of art and it was a shame to eat it...but it was the tastiest cake I've perhaps ever had. She made us a Black Forest cake with cherries and buttercream and I have to say not a minute has gone by when I'm not tempted to defrost my top tier (which i'm supposed to be saving for our wedding anniversary) and eat it. We would recommend Archana to anyone who wants the most beautiful and tasty of cakes!!!Archana designed and made our wedding cake recently. Archana's cake was beautiful and delicious, and she created it exactly to our specifications. Unlike so many other cakes, the texture was light and moist, and the fillings did not just taste like liquid sugar. Our wedding cake was delicious and turned out exactly as we had envisioned. Archana was great to work with and her sunny personality really comes through in her work. Love Street was definitely the right choice and I'm so glad we heard about her so we didn't have to have a pretty cake that tasted like sawdust (as were so many of the ones we tried)!Our wedding cake was delicious and turned out exactly as we had envisioned. Archana was a pleasure to work with. Our wedding's color scheme was based on the vintage 1960s Pucci tie my husband wore for the occasion. We brought Archana the tie when we met her, and she was excited to design our cake based on its pattern and colors of chocolate brown, fuschia, lilac, and pink. The chocolate cake she baked was modern, playful, and most important, delicious. It was so unique that the cake and I appeared in a story in Bride's New York fall 2008 issue!Archana was a pleasure to work with. Our wedding cake was a dream and working with Archana was fantastic. There were a few things we hoped for from this experience.. a beautiful cake that truly reflected *us*, something equally delicious as beautiful, something elegant yet wild & rustic, and a local artisan/baker that would really work with us to get the perfect combination of flavors & aesthetic. Archana was so excited about our ideas and after our first meeting & tasting we were sold.
Our summer wedding & unconventional taste called for an unfrosted cake that consisted of layers of gorgeous rustic cake, tasty cream, fresh raspberries and decorated with something natural and green. Archana tested and we tasted a couple of rounds of specially made cakes & creams before choosing the perfect pairing. We had a good idea of what it would look & taste like but we were blown away when we saw it on our wedding day. It was just gorgeous.. it translated so beautifully to the large size and Archana combined lush passion flower vines with sweet chamomile flowers from our wedding flowers to decorate the cake and stand. She did an *incredible* job. I was really moved to see something that truly captured us & the spirit of the day!
All of our guests LOVED the cake.. everyone commented on the beauty, uniqueness and of course the fresh & delicious flavors. The only downside is that it disappeared so quickly we wanted more! So when we returned from our honeymoon we ordered a small version just for us to privately celebrate the beginning of our marriage together.
We highly recommend working with such a talented artist!
