Ashley was an amazing day-of-coordinator and ensured that everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. She is so attentive to detail, easygoing, professional, and really such a pleasure to work with! Our wedding reception was DIY, and we were planning from out of town, but through an organized planning sheet and virtual meetings, we were able to align perfectly with our vision and logistics. She made it all happen just as we imagined! I highly recommend hiring a day-of-coordinator as a DIY bride, and specifically, hiring Ashley. It gave us peace of mind knowing that Ashley would be managing the event from set up to tear down, and because of that, we were able to enjoy our wedding day worry-free. Ahead of the wedding day she helped us so much by reaching out and confirming with each of our vendors. Ashley kept our wedding timeline running on time, by directing guests and working together with all of the vendors, and this meant more time to celebrate and enjoy our reception! We can't thank you enough, Ashley. -

I decided to pull the trigger on hiring a wedding planner only a few months out from my wedding date. From the moment I spoke to Ash on the phone, I knew I was making the right decision. After our first phone convo, I felt a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders with her cool and calm attitude. A few weeks before the wedding, I met up with her to go over all of the details and how I envisioned that day. Looking back, I left out a *TON* of details during that meeting, which I ended up throwing at her literally the day before/morning of my wedding - from announcements that we forgot to send the band, to our seating chart at the head table, to how we wanted our family pictures displayed, to me totally forgetting to tell the florist that we were getting ready downtown and needed our flowers before the ceremony (just to name a few last minute AH!! moments). Ash just rolled with it and handled everything so calmly and professionally.
Ultimately, I got exactly what I wanted - Ash took care of all the details while I enjoyed every minute of my wedding day. If you're thinking of hiring a wedding planner, look no further. Ash literally read my mind (even with me leaving out tons of details) and was such a dream to work with. Thank you, Ash! -

Ashley was awesome! We hired her for day-of coordination but she met with us a few times before the wedding too! She really helped our dream wedding come a reality, perfectly executing our vision. I was able to just relax and enjoy the day because I knew Ashley had everything handled! She was super nice and easy to work with. Thank you Ashley for helping to make our day so perfect and everything we could have imagined! -

BEST decision for my wedding!
Ashley was absolutely amazing. She was able to create what I was looking for and was very receptive to what I wanted my reception to look like. She was always so nice and willing to troubleshoot any issues I could think of. She was on time and even kept me on track on not stressed. I originally wasn't going to hire any help - but I am so glad I did - I can't imagine my day without her. I couldn't recommend her highly enough. -

Ash was great to work with. She set up all the decor for the wedding and reception perfectly. She helped to create the day of timeline and she made sure that everything ran smoothly!! She really helped to make our day stress free! I would highly recommend Ash to other brides! -

Without Ashley our wedding would have failed. She was organized, knew my vision after talking one time, and had such a good eye for putting the whole wedding reception in order. She was organized and helped us stay on time the day of. She handled all problems and made the day stress free for the groom and I. I would highly recommend using her amazing services as she is so amazing !! -

Two weeks before my beach wedding in St. Pete (which I coordinated and arranged mostly myself, including all of the silk flowers and table decor) I reached out to a dozen or so people. We realized t would put too big of a strain on the day and really, something was bound to go wrong or run us way over on time. I am SO GLAD I went that route and even more happy to have hired Ash especially. Responses trickled in, but hers was the very first - and she responded by text which is the reason she sealed the deal. I always see my texts before my emails. Several replied as already booked, some not booked were charging insane amounts of money for travel and set-up, a couple didn't do "a la carte" set-up, but there she was...exactly what I needed. Ash had an extremely fair price and was (best of all) insanely nice and energetic. I liked her fresh vibe and that she covered every single base and question right off the bat - so detailed. She even came out to meet me to see the wedding venue beforehand where we signed the contract and I provided payment in full. I would hands down recommend adding her to your wedding day if you are in the area. Her communication the entire time was perfect - 100% trust all the way. She knows her stuff! She is very hands-on, can work with anything and I love her "I got this" attitude! My family and friends raved about her on the day of and really like her a lot - she showed up right on time, got straight to work and helped make my beach wedding magical and every bit as perfect as I had imagined. She is SO incredibly easy to work with - no corporate red tape - no bossy attitude or package prices that have no wiggle room. If you're not sure - just ask her. Let her work with you to show you what she is capable of and you will be happily suprised at how much easier she makes your wedding day. Mine would have been a nightmare without Ash McBride. No joke. She was my last minute saving grace and I'd hire her again in a heartbeat! -

We utilized the services for day of coordination and though we paid to communicate openly with her at any time per our agreement, it often felt like I was inconveniencing them or asking too many questions. Doing most of the planning ourselves, we wanted to make things as easy as possible for them since we had day of services only. The communication from their end was very lacking. I often felt like I wasn't receiving confirmation that I was giving them the best information and they weren't asking enough questions to successfully carry through with the wedding. Guests and the wedding party felt that the coordinators looked less than thrilled to be there and were not very polite.
Although we paid for these services, our families graciously stayed to help with the cleanup making their jobs even easier. This was the only vendor at the end of the night that didn't say goodbye or wish us well. I did see the assistant and hollered "Thank you" to her from a distance as I myself was packing up one of the vehicles and that was about it.
When I think of a wedding coordinator, whether it is day of or full on, is that it is their job to reassure the bride that everything will go smoothly (or at least try to) with the utmost confidence, even if the planning is stressful or overwhelming. I was weary of my confidence, and my gut proved to be right. I only hope other brides do not go through the same experience.Ash McBride Events's reply:
