  We had our wedding at Demers Banquet Hall, and they recommended Astral Catering for our wedding catering. From now on I can honestly say that they will be my go to catering company in Houston. The food tasted amazing, looked beautiful on the plate, and the service was exceptional. We had a full buffet, roasted tenderloin station, and the most wonderful banana foster station on the planet. The whole wedding party was licking their fingers. Thank you everyone at Astral, and we will be coming back for more!

  Astral Catering did the passed appetizer during the cocktail hour at our wedding, and they were fantastic! The food the day of the wedding was just as delicious as when we went for the tasting, and all the guests loved it! Plus, I was really excited because they were able to do mini tomato soup shooters with tiny grilled cheeses which was basically my dream appetizer. Deitre and Adrian were both great to work with and made everything so easy, and they even visited the venue with us in advance so that they knew exactly how the layout was, the kitchen setup, etc. so that they were well prepared. Plus, they saved some appetizers for us so that we got to eat them after we finished our photos!! Highly recommended!!

  When we booked our wedding venue, the package came with it's in house caterer. The food we had at the tasting was phenomenal!! However on the day of our wedding, they had 4 other events to carter, and it seemed like our food was rushed to be cooked, and didn't taste as great as it did during the tasting. We brought it to the venue attention, and they sincerely apologized and fixed the issue, by extending our event time. Im sure this was just one of those days where they had so many events and was unsure how to delegate and execute it properly. We will use them again in the future if we have another event, but we will most defiantly make sure we have the same cook as before at the tasting.

  OVERVIEW: Astral Catering catered my wedding for about 130 guests. Overall, I would recommend Astral Catering for the variety and quality of their food and for the help that they provided in setting up the reception site in a short time (three hours). More detailed reviews about the food and service are below.
  
  FOOD: From the start, my husband and I were impressed with the variety of food options offered by Astral Catering, and the chef was enthusiastic to work with us and even provide food that was not their menu. For our reception, we had three different passed appetizers plus three different food stations (hamburger, buffalo chicken, and black bean sliders; macaroni and cheese with mix-ins of your choice; and shrimp cocktail plus grilled vegetables). My husband and I thought everything was delicious and loved that it wasn’t just your typical wedding food.
  
  SERVICE: After we had given our first check to Astral Catering, we had some communication issues, due in part to the employee initially assigned to our account leaving the company, but they were professional in resolving the miscommunications. Astral Catering even helped us to set up the reception in a short time, since our venue was not available until 3 hours before the event started (so we were not available to set up our candy bar, guest book table, etc. ourselves and since we did not have a wedding planner). During the reception, they also delivered food and drinks directly to our table, so we were actually able to eat at our own wedding, which many of our married friends warned us we might not get to do.
