“Aurora Event Center” it’s a beautiful venue. I went to my friends birthday party last Saturday, if looks very simple venue from outside but when I walked inside the ballroom.. it looked totally different. This ballroom is so gorgeous and great lighting ambience. Ballroom was decor with beautiful chandelier, up lighting, stage lighting, well maintained carpet. When I walked in the ballroom soft cool jazz music and apple cinnamon smelled so good it gives me warm welcome feeling . Their food was excellent and there service was awesome. I recommend this venue to everyone. Go and check it out and I’m sure you gonna love it.

I can't say enough about the services and experience; I had when hosting my 30th Class Reunion at this venue.. Sadi and his wife were awesome, Service with a smile and very accommodating. Thank you so much for your professionalism, and ensuring this was "A Knight To Remember"...for the Justin F Kimball' Class of 1987,

This venue was AWESOME! Customer service was top notch and you can tell there is a genuine care for us as clients because the goal is to ensure that you and your guests are pleased. The food was great, the lighting and sound system was perfect for our event..our guests were so impressed that they kept asking me to be sure to send them info so that they can book for their events too...lastly, we didn't have a really big budget so what I liked most was the very affordable cost...I am SO glad we found this place!

    Money changes everything

Things started off great with the owner. When we first walked into the building we were blown away by the lighting. Chandeliers throughout the building which really makes the building pop. But once we gave the other our money things went downhill from there. In all what started out to be a $4500 budget for the event centered turned out to be a $6530 budget for the center. $4500 on the contract, $300 for wanting extra chairs instead of a kids menu, $150 for him to provide a server to clean, $180 for cups, $900 for using warmers and extra seating and $500 deposit for extra seating.
We were upfront that we would be having out own catering service and he was fine with that. But the day of the wedding he charged us $300 extra dollars for having to put the food in the warmers and fridge. He said that we did not pay to use to the kitchen. He was supposed to provide a kids menu but we decided that we would allow the caterer to do all food and in exchange we wanted extra chairs. In the cost of the venue your place setting (Charger, Plate, silverware, cups and napkins, table cloths and chair covers and sashes) are included, but since he said we were not going with his catering service we only paid for table cloth, chair covers, chargers, plates, silverware and napkins. Also we did not use the sashes, he said we would have to pay extra for the cups. If you look at the website a full place setting is shown on the picture. Never have I heard that if you only pay for dinner ware that cups are not included. So on the day of event the event her wouldn't allow the florist to set up the table fully without paying for additional cups. Also I had to pay an additional $150 for service to clean up after when that is supposed to be included in the venue price. Rehearsal was supposed to be on a Friday, but called us a week before saying we had to move it to Friday because they had another event booked there. When I asked why he would book an event the day before he stayed that if we wanted to have an event that day I would have to pay for the renting of the building. But I had told him this upfront when we came in January to put the $500 deposit down on the building. Did not mention any of this then.
Now the day of the event was a whole other issue. The event was scheduled to begin seating at 5:30 to start the event at 6:15. He did not start setting up table and chairs until 1:00 for 150 people and the florist was schedule to come in and start setting up at 1:30. Not only did he want her to help him assist in setting up he started to her that there were certain things she could bring in. So once all that was set up he charged the florist $184 for having to put out cups with the place setting. Everything was supposed to be set up and ready to go when the florist arrived.
Once it was time for the event to start the owner approached the Groom who was using his office to wait in, stating that unless he pays him for the extra guest over the amount of people that was supposed to be at the venue then our event would not be able to start. The Groom’s aunt had him leave the room to discuss what further actions in all needed to be paid. The owner gave her a receipt for $900 which included the extra chairs for guest and using the warmers in the kitchen.
After a week of the event being over, we happen to check account only to see that he cashed the $500 check for what was stated on the memo line as over the amount of guest per contract. He got the money for that upfront and charged us in the end for the same thing.

Guests went home without food because these guys refused to give plates to eat.

Completely dissatisfied. These guys are find throwing food than feed guests. My eat of photographers and videographers did a sweet 16 birthday and after then shoot at 10:00 PM when we went to get some food, there were no plates. when asked they said they are out of plates. I think this is the only event center that does not have plates to feed guests. When asked, they say they only had 100 plates and all were taken. They are ok to throw all the food than feed guests.

If you are hosting your party here, make sure to check about the plates and glasses. Or ask your guests to bring their own plate and water so they don't starve.

    No cares but their own

For a year, I was paying off my wedding, and this was my venue of choice, but 11 days before my wedding, my 29 year old son died, from a heart attack, out the blue NO Medical issues, what so ever, Sadi and his wife both knew of my son as they met him before, at a interview for their restaurant across the street from their venue, he never worked they only wanted to give him 10-15 hours a week, long story short, they are so money hungry, I needed $1500 back on my venue or credit to change date, for the unseen death of my son, to pay on his funeral ...they offered to give me only $500, after he said he would do $1000, which I was grateful for, after we agreed, he cowardly texted and said he could only do the $500 after I left from talking
to him in person, it took him about a week to pay it, I had to come get it the same day of my son's viewing.... they care about nothing but the money, he knows how much I struggled to pay for our wedding, my 1st wedding ever at 52 years old.... Just make sure NOTHING comes up, you will not get any money back, even if someone dies... I could not bury my son on May 27th 2023 and then get married May 28th 2023, my son died 5/15/23, I met Sadi about 1 week after he died, to try to resolve this he's IMPOSSIBLE, and he wouldn't, give me credit to change the date either...just be careful here, he has no heart speaks of God, but he's very evil when it comes to money... He even prayed with me, while he lied about giving me $1000 back... I thought of him as a friend, prior to this, I gave him all the Western decor in his restaurant... I hope everytime he walks in, he thinks how greedy he was...

    Rest in heaven son
I didn't want to write this review, but I feel people need to know, what type of people Sadi and his wife are ... Before they choose a venue for their special day....

While we did not have a wedding or party at Aurora, we did host a 2 day sewing/embroidery event with over 100 women. Mid morning on the first day the lights and power went out. Turns out the owner did not pay the bill and the electric company cut off service You can imagine that this might cause a problem with over 30 sewing machines and high outside temperatures. This did not seem to concern the owner who did practically nothing to remedy the situation. As it turns out, he believes that there are problems with women-owned businesses who deal with women customers. He seemed to believe he did nothing wrong. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, unless all the guests are male and even then, I say "Stay away!"
