Austin Trolley Company was extremely friendly and punctual with their service. We hired them to take our guest to a Tex-Mex Brunch and a Brewery Tasting & Tour. Our entire guests enjoyed the Trolley and we had some great photos. The driver was kind and accommodating. He went out of his way to make every effort to serve us by making multiple trips to accommodate all or our guest and he made sure we were well taken care of. Austin Trolley Company did everything we asked and were happy to do so! The trolley was clean and we had a wonderful day with them. Their service from the beginning was pleasant and kind!

We booked Austin Trolley Company for our downtown wedding, to transport the wedding party between church/reception. When we were looking around for transportation, we really wanted a trolley. Austin Trolley Co was reasonably priced (similar to/slightly less than bus/limo bus options). Laurie was GREAT to work with and always responsive. She helped us nail down the day-of schedule. Our driver was fantastic! He arrived on time and we had no issues getting from place to place. We even stopped to take pictures at the Capitol at one point, and he handled it like a pro! We had plenty of room for our large wedding party, and plus-ones, AND, the trolley is in beautiful condition! Would highly recommend!

Note: they do have minimum durations for reservation times, which we found at most transportation companies.

I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with this vendor. We didn't worry about much on our wedding day, but this could have turned into a disaster if I didn't have a back-up plan set up. When I researched transportation to take my guests from the hotel where everybody was staying, to the winery where the wedding was taking place, I knew what I wanted. I had 50 guests and I wanted the trolley to do a continual loop between the two locations, which were approximately 20 minutes away. I also booked only 1 trolley, because I was assured that while there are approximately 30 seats, we would be allowed to have guests stand. In addition to the trolley, I booked the hotel shuttle (15-passenger van) to make a few trips back and forth for the wedding party, some family who needed to be there early for pictures or set-up, etc. At the last minute, I extended the time for the hotel shuttle, just to make sure nobody was left stranded at the winery after the trolley left. Austin Trolley appeared to be exactly what I was looking for, so my husband booked it. It wasn't until much, much later (a week out) when I was typing up the shuttle and trolley schedules for my guests that I realized they didn't honor the deal with my husband that they had discussed with me over the phone (making continual trips back and forth between the two locations). I was assured that all my comments/requests were noted in their system, so when my husband called to pay all the details would be saved. My husband didn't know any different. I now understand why it was impractical for the trolley to loop between the two locations (it has a max speed of approximately 20 mph) but nobody told me that the trolley was so slow and they wouldn't loop between the two locations. So I booked some extra trips with the hotel shuttle to make up for the lack of trolley trips. My biggest frustration was actually at the winery though. Our guests were seeing us off at the end of the night and we ran down the "gauntlet" and straight into the trolley. Our guests started getting on-board with us and once the seats were filled, people started standing. The driver told us there could be no standing passengers and made those guests get off. We argued that we booked with them BECAUSE there could be standing guests and if we had known ahead of time, we would have booked two trolleys! It wasn't about the money...we wanted to enjoy the ride with ALL of our guests. As we were talking to the driver about the standing guests (or lack thereof, I should say) he closed the door and started to drive off. It was very rude. Clearly he was done talking to us. Nobody in my bridal party was on the trolley (they went back to get their purses/changing clothes, etc.). Neither sets of parents were on the trolley either. We called the driver for the hotel shuttle and he said he had just left the hotel for one final trip, just in case. THANK GOD! We called our parents who were now stranded with about 20 other people (nobody had cars there) and told them that the hotel shuttle was on its way. None of our very laid-back guests seemed to be inconvenienced by waiting a little longer for a ride, and they actually beat us back to the hotel since the trolley was so slow. So, anybody considering a trolley, make sure you know ALL the details and if they promise you that guests can stand, GET IT IN WRITING! Or make sure the driver is aware. Frankly, I don't recommend this vendor because the driver was so rude and made no attempt to remedy the situation. He just closed the door and took off. Also keep in mind, folks, that you're paying for the time it takes the trolley to leave their garage until the trolley returns to the garage....with an hourly rate of $99. With a very, very slow trolley, the cost rises quickly. I believe we paid approximately $700-$800 for the trolley to drive our guests from Lago Vista to Marble Falls (16 miles away) and then back. So, we probably only got about an hour and a half worth of trolley time (since it was slow as molasses)....the rest of the expense was waiting time (which you pay for) and travel time to/from their garage (45 miles away, in my case). Since we had to add so many extra hotel shuttle trips, we added that extra cost too. But for $400, we got 8 round-trip''s with the hotel shuttle on the wedding day and two on the night of the rehearsal.

I wouldn't know how to rate the trolley...because I ordered one and it did not show up on my wedding night (another bus showed up in its place). I booked them through Carey of Austin, who are HORRIBLE for the following reasons.

I am very dissapointed with the services of this vendor. They are very hard to get ahold of, very disorganized, and you have to tell them what you want several times and they still do not deliver correctly.

Things that went wrong on my wedding day:
    1. The bus that had me, my bridesmaids, and mom went in the wrong direction (away from my church) for about 10 minutes before my friend noticed and told him to go the correct way. The driver didn't know where he was going, and we got to the church late.
    2. Because the bus that dropped of off were late, they arrived to pick up my guests late. Half of our guests depended on that bus (and some of them panicked and ended up driving because they didn't want to miss the wedding) and it came EXTREMELY late, and caused the wedding to start late.
    3. I ordered a trolley for after the wedding (for some of our guests to use to go downtown) and a different BUS showed up.
    4. The wrong credit card was charged for the trolley
    5. I've been trying to contact the liason since the wedding, and she ignores my emails and hasn't responded to my complaints.

Overall, I would not recommend this vendor to anyone.
