We hired Avant-Garde to provide flowers and centerpieces for my daughter's wedding ceremonies at both a church and then the next day at McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale. Jill and Emme were fabulous to work with. They executed the designs just as we had discussed, and the resulting quality and beauty of the flowers and centerpieces were of the highest quality. We can't thank them enough for handling all the details to our desired specifications and the outcome was phenomenal! We highly recommend Avant-Garde if you want professional support and beautiful florals at your wedding! -

Veronica Novak and her magical team of designers truly brought the “Wow Factor” to our wedding day. The floral design, the tablescapes, the custom ceremony triple-hoop, and a custom hoop for our “floating cake” were just jaw-droppingly beautiful. I appreciated how receptive she was while listening to our ideas and requests. Veronica helped me to feel heard throughout the whole consultation process, and she balanced being respectful of my budget while continuously providing recommendations to stretch my resources as much as possible.
This team has an amazing eye for details and quality. They are also extremely talented and can create custom pieces that made our Pinterest dreams a reality. I look forward to many more opportunities to work with them!! -

Lawrence Sent on 03/31/2018Miguel and I were married at the Tempe Center for the Arts. We hired Jill at Avant Guarde to stage the wedding and provide florals. As a designer I had a strong vision of my wedding. Jill was the best person I could find for our needs.
She was creative, organized, had a warehouse full of amazing design elements, and a warm and hard working team
to execute on time. I designed a black wedding, on a Saturday night, as a party for our friends. I wanted a spectacular
experience for my friends that amazed and entertained them. Jill and her team provided and coordated all of the design
elements. The staging, rentals, lighting, candles and glowing orbs were all from Avant-Garde. And then there were the flowers, a a man and a designer I wanted something that fit my vision. Jill created the most stunning tablescapes ever.
Tropical and spring flowers were mixed with succulents in glass vases on multiple levels. When it was layered with food,
My guest were impressed. Our friends tell us we had the best wedding they ever attended. Jill and her team were the
reason it looked so amazing. Her team made the experience for us pleasurable and memorable. What more can you ask for? You should hire them! I’m so glad I did!

User1529703 Sent on 02/07/2014Avant-Garde did a wonderful job for our wedding, we couldn't have been happier. The flowers were even more beautiful than I imagined. Jill is an absolute treasure and her attention to detail is truly amazing. At the consultation we talked a little about how roses don't smell like roses anymore and to my wonder and surprise my bouquet was full of the most fragrant and beautiful blush blooms. It's been almost a week and they are still in my vase and I can still smell them every time I pass by. The centerpieces were a masterpiece of good taste, as was the entire decor. Wonderful! Thank you! -

Rachel Sent on 05/30/2013Avant-Garde made my wedding even more beautiful than I could have imagined due to their attention to detail. The flower petals during the ceremony, the gorgeous centerpieces they brought to life from a few picture ideas, the breathtaking bouquets... absolutely beautiful.
From the moment I met Jill Murphey I knew I had to work with her. She was truly interested in my vision, wanting to know as many details in order to pick the perfect arrangement. She worked within my budget while still providing incredible service. And I am so thankful she secretly worked with my mom and sister in order to surprise me with special mementos on my bouquet!

Amber Sent on 02/18/2012Avant-Garde is by far the best florist to work with! Jill is such a sweetheart and extremely talented! She really knows how to organize your thoughts and ideas and make them a reality! And when you see their work, you realize reality is way better then anything you could ever dream! When I saw the ceremony and reception décor I was speechless! And when I saw my locket with my Grandmother’s pictures attached to my bouquet, it brought tears to my eyes!
Jill was more then willing to bend over backwards and when I was concerned that the pale pink flowers I wanted for the wedding would be to close to white, she offered suggestions to make sure I got the look I wanted. She was also more then willing to accommodate anything and everything she could. When I decided to add a couple of additional items the week before the wedding she made it happen! The quality of work and professionalism is surpassed. Their flexibility, responsiveness, and value is unbeatable. I am truly grateful for all of Jill's help and I could not have achieved my perfect wedding without her.

I did not think I would be able to afford them, but they are willing to work within several different budgets. I can't tell you what an amazing experience I had with Jill. This will be the best money you ever spent on making your day gorgeous to the 10th degree! -
User2072653 Sent on 03/21/2015I waited a year to write this because I just wanted to forget. It makes me nauseous to write.
William & co were recommended by my planner. I met them in person, talked over photos, emailed, and agreed on what I wanted for my wedding. I thought we had a good relationship. They said they could do what I was asking- deep, dark hues with a variety of flowers- no problem. Fast forward to my wedding, and William shows up with COMPLETELY different colors/ flowers/ tones than we discussed and contracted. I'm talking baby shower flowers of yellow, white, light pink- could not be further from the scheme we agreed on and did a run through with. Thankfully I had photos with me at the wedding from the mock up to show them how off they were. I got a lot of attitude from William and spent the hours leading up to my wedding arguing with him. I was getting my makeup done as he showed me attempts saying "this is the best I can do". I lost the entire experience. I also lost all the pictures with bridal party who were hurriedly making bouquets with flowers from the rehearsal dinner. Total disaster. William eventually owned up to his mistake (the notes, contract, and mockup were pretty indicting) and gave my parents a small % of the bill back. We still paid over ten grand for a horrible experience.
Bridal party talked about it for months. The most upsetting was my bouquet, which was supposed to be a copy of my mothers cascade, as agreed and emailed, and was not.
Please for the sake of your wedding use ANY other florist.Avant-Garde, William & Company Floral Design Studio's reply:
I waited 2 years to write this because I tried to figure it out and yet after 2 years, I still have not. We at Avant-Garde did make a mistake with her personal flowers, it was the 7 revisions the bride kept making, the latest revision got lost in the paper work. I did everything I could to make her happy, but when she unleashed her "gang" of bridesmaids after me, it did not help the matter...I did admit we make a mistake and did give her parents a fair % back, which her parent thought was fair and accepted my apologizes and understood. It is a shame she spent so much time over a small mistake and had such a horrible experience. Some brides you just can't please....Now back to the reason it took me years to figure it out....Amazingly (not really), two years later her sister and parents came back to me to do her sisters wedding, which was another success. I think this says everything that needs to be said.....
