Looking for a perfect venue during the pandemic and with budget constraints was really a struggle. Ayres hotel was the first venue we visited after filtering all the options online. Upon arriving at the place, we fell in love with the ambiance and warm hospitality of the people we interacted with. This was just destiny for us.

Jessica is absolutely amazing. Not only did she answer every single question we had, but she did so clearly and as simply as possible. And when we went over the paperwork there were no hidden fees at all. They were also preparing for a wedding the afternoon we toured so we got to see how everything would be set up ahead of time. Everything is just so beautiful

This hotel is perfect for our wedding and reception. We are on a tight budget and they supply just about everything for a reasonable price. Staff, venue, food and price are excellent!! Jessica, our hotel wedding coordinator, has been so responsive, sweet, and knowledgable!!

April 7th, 2018 was the happiest day of our lives thanks to Catering Manager Jessica Anderson and the incredible staff of the Ayres Hotel Costa Mesa. From the day Jessica and I had our first consultation the experience I had planning our wedding was nothing short of a blessing! Jessica instantly made my mother and I feel welcome and taken care of. Her organization and superior customer service ensured that every detail of of our special day was handled with attentiveness and care. Jessica was very responsive to all of our emails and did not forget a single thing. She even made sure we had a back-up plan in case it rained. She also took initiative to handwrite our instagram hashtag for display which was not part of our package. We were treated with kindness and courtesy the entire time. The catering staff attended to our every request...they even moved the entire dance floor so our sweetheart table would fit nicely. We truly felt like a king and queen on our wedding day! The food was delicious, our guests were extremely happy, and our honeymoon suite was perfect! The quality of service and affordability at this venue are outstanding! Ayres is a small boutique kind of hotel. We pretty much selected this venue because of its environment and Laura. Laura personable and professional, and you will be working with her a lot. She responds to your emails within the same day. She is there at every step of your planning. She makes sure that you are taken care of and things are perfect for you. The best part is that she's just so sweet and easy to work with. She pretty much made all our requests happen.

Other staff members are definitely awesome, too. Their food is AMAZING. I'm not talking about wedding food level amazing. (We all know that we sometimes can't expect much for wedding food.) It's regular Yelp level amazing. Our guests also commented that their bar has amazing martinis.

Overall, the hotel is very well-managed. Other staff members were awesome, too. I can tell that they put their hearts into the services. The venue is reasonably affordable compared to other options in the area. The ceremony area has seasonal floral decorations, so you don't need to do too much. We decorated everything ourselves (flowers, candles, pom poms...etc.). Their pre-setting really helped! I highly recommend Ayres and Laura. I had such a great experience that I'm willing to post my review on multiple websites. :P

Wow!! What an amazing experience. We had the best day of our lives having our wedding here. From the moment we met Laura I had a good feeling about the place. The intimacy of the cermony area had me sold. And the outdoor reception area was one of a kind!! Having the dance floor inside the little room had me a little worried at first. But we did our first dance out by the pool and when the dance floor opened up everyone was there anyway! It was nice to be able to get outside and get air and have space and a quieter place to talk and mingle too. Seriously, having our wedding here was the first of many great decisions that made our wedding day amazing. I cannot that Laura enough for being so incredible and helpful throughout the whole process!! Thank you Ayres, you made our wedding day so perfect.

Laura is the most thoughtful and caring person to ever assist with a wedding and overall needs.
From the ideas you ask to be implemented, to the professionalism, the food, and the attention to detail in making it happen!

See Laura McConnell, we booked this venue 100% because of her. Her professionalism was top notch, she was a great partner that helped us pull together a wedding in less than four months. Both myself (the groom), the bride and our guests had a great experience at the Ayres. Laura had a great short list of vendors that were great to work with, the packages offered were very fair and affordable.

The wife and I will be back to the Ayres for our anniversary dinners (the chicken parm was GREAT, definitely not typical "wedding food"). The staff was great, our captain (Marcos) was one of the best service staff members I've ever worked with (including NY, PA and CA over nearly 10 years working in the industry).

What a wonderful experience we had with this company! This particular location is beautiful and well worth every cent. Laura was a wonderful help every step of the way; she was polite, personable, and genuine, and I could not imagine getting married without her there. It was raining the morning of my wedding, and I was so anxious about what was going to happen with the wedding. I shouldn't have worried one bit, Laura walked me through everything and it was just wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about this place, the staff, and my experience with them. If you are looking to get married in California, please use this place. You will not be sorry!

We had just our Reception at the Hotel and Laura was amazing. Very easy to work with, and quick to answer questions. We had the Gold package and was such a great value, it included our cake from Amazing Cake Creations (it was delicious), included cocktail hour with appetizers, and plated meals for my guests. The servers provided excellent service and were very attentive. The tables were set up beautifully, and the lights that were added made it even more elegant! The only thing that was a down side, was my cake top was not put into a box to take home with me so we had to eat it the next day before it went bad. The servers did keep all my decorations organized for me at the end of the night though so it was easy to load into my car.

My husband and I are so happy we decided to have our wedding at the Ayres Hotel in Costa Mesa! It was a great experienced from beginning to end. The wedding coordinator, Laura, did such a wonderful job! Everything ran smoothly and was beautiful! Thank you so much for helping our special day be perfect!

Ayres Hotel is about 2 miles from my home and have always liked the ambiance. I've eaten at Ayres several times because the restaurant on site is extremely good. I decided to inquire about a wedding reception/ceremony there for my daughters wedding . I met with coordinator Laura Mcconnell and she was very professional from the first day we talked all the way through. I did not do the traditional banquet/reception food and did food stations that I like. We actually did a taco bar and a slider bar with all the fixings from curly fries to rice and beans and condiments. My point is that they are very flexible about what menu you might want. Also, you're allowed to use your own DJ, photographer, bakery and florist. Everywhere we looked from hotels to private estates to golf courses make you use their own vendors which eliminates your cost control points. Overall I honestly can say I did not have one complaint. My suggestion is to at least add it to your list of venues you're looking at. You probably will find out you have an option with Ayres Hotel. If you're looking for flexibility in what you want to do for your wedding Ayres is the place.

If I could give more stars I would! We had been searching for a location where we could have both our ceremony and reception within our budget and this place did not disappoint. As soon as we took the tour we were sold. The ceremony was in their patio/fountain area which is decorated with their seasonal flowers (i didn't have to buy flowers for the ceremony) and we had our reception in the pool area ( the DJ and dance floor in a room next to the pool). We have nothing but great things to say about their catering manager, Laura McConnell. Don't know what we would have done without her. She was there for us every step of the way. Being that we've never had to plan a wedding before we were a bit lost at first but Laura was always available to answer any questions. She always responded promptly to my emails and would follow up with any info we needed. The hotel was very accommodating and had different packages to choose from to fit your budget. They have a restaurant in the hotel which provided our dinner and it was delish! I was very happy with the way everything fell into place and the professionalism of all the staff at the Ayres Hotel.

Laura McConnell was extremely pleasant, helpful, responsive and professional throughout the whole process. She returned phone calls and emails promptly. She guided us through the process and her attention to detail really helped to minimize the pressures of planning and executing a wedding. This was important because we did not have a wedding planner. I would highly recommend her and the Ayres Suites Costa Mesa.

I got married there back in August 2015. Laura McConnell was extremely helpful, and available throughout the entire planning process. All the staff we worked with were so supportive before, and during the wedding. The wedding was a blast! All our guests said it was one of the most beautiful, and fun weddings they had ever been to. We could not have chosen a better place. I highly recommend this location for not just the reception , but also for the ceremony.

Dave and I planned our wedding reception with Laura McConnell. She put together our timeline, blocked the rooms for our friends and family and calmed me down a few times. Laura's exceptional customer service made us feel so special.

The Ayres Hotel was the perfect place for our guests and ourselves to stay the night of the wedding. They were incredibly accommodating and attentive. We were able to book a block of rooms for our guests to reserve, and all ended up being to stay on the same floor. The breakfast the following morning was delicious. Jay and Marie were of great assistance!

The staff of the Ayres were wonderful to work with and made our daughter's wedding a wonderful event that we will always remember! The hotel wedding coordinator, the food, the setup crew, even the people at the front desk did everything they could to make the event a success. I was extremely impressed with the Ayres and it's staff. Would not hesitate to recommend them!

The hotel staff was very attentive and kind to our wedding party and out of town guests. Being able to have the wedding party and guests stay in one beautiful hotel and host our events under the same roof, seemed like our fairy tale wedding was almost too good to be to be true. But the Ayres hotel's charm and ambiance made it all come true. The food was excellent, shuttle service from the airport was great, catering staff was kind and attentive, rooms were beautiful; I can't say enough about how pleased we were with our experience.

This little hotel was the host to our big day. If you are thinking about getting married in the Manhattan Beach area and want a venue that doesn't cost an "arm and a leg" and doesn't feel like a wedding "factory," this is the place for you. This venue catered to our every need. Me being from Hawaii and my husband's family being from Europe, we wanted to combine our two backgrounds and this place did everything for us. The elegant European feel of the hotel combined with the special Hawaiian menu was perfect. Deanna, in event planning and catering and Aaron, the maitre'd, absolutely went above and beyond on our day and I cannot thank them enough. This place is the perfect venue for your special day and it holds a special place in our heart!

The Ayres hotel in Costa Mesa has very charming decorations and furniture. The rooms are clean and the staff is amazing. We used this hotel for our wedding block and we worked with Kara. She was very accommodating and we were able to get a good block of rooms for our guests available by phone (no contract or minimum number of rooms). The hotel is close to the airport and has a nice restaurant, a nice patio area with a fountain, as well as 2 pools. Since the airport closes after 10:30pm, there is no airplane noise at night. Parking is free. This place is a great value and we would definitely go there again!

When planning our wedding, my husband and I really struggled finding an affordable reception venue that was willing to help us bring our vision to life. We wanted a casual yet classy atmosphere that was different from the typical hotel banquet room. The pool deck at the Ayres Hotel and Suites in Costa Mesa was exactly what we were looking for. The banquet staff was wonderful to work with and the food was amazing. It's been almost a year and we still have guests commenting about dinner. The Honeymoon Suite was wonderful and our out of town guests appreciated being able to stay at the same location as our reception.
