Growing up in the area, I've always associated Babette's with prom/formal/pageant gowns. I was happy to learn that they offered bridal as well. They took the time to pick out different styles of gowns to make sure I could visualize the possibilities and noted what styles best suited my figure. After alterations through Babette's, my gown looked perfect! I love looking back on pictures and seeing how beautiful it turned out. -

Ksenia Sent on 10/29/2015This was my first weekend together with my daughter as we both so busy , we had 3 appiitements scheduled 3 hours apart at 3 different stores and Babettes was our first . After trying the gowns and understanding that the services are so unique at Babettes we cancelled our appiitements at other places and purchased our wedding gown here . -

Angela Sent on 10/18/2016When I first got engaged, my sister was in town. I wanted to do something wedding-related with her, since she wouldn't be in town for much of the wedding planning. So my mom, sister, and I decided to look at wedding dresses. The girl at Babette's was very sweet and helpful. I unexpectedly ended up finding "the one" that day! My dress came in very quickly, and the seamstress made it fit me like a glove. Semi-last minute, I swapped out the belt that the dress came with for a new belt, which had crystals all the way around the waistline. The seamstress attached it to my dress beautifully, and it only took a couple days. Overall, Babette's was easy to work with and very accommodating. I'd definitely recommend them to a friend for wedding dress shopping! -

Ryan Sent on 04/11/2016After searching all the stores in my area, with no luck, I made the 2.5 hour drive to Babette's Gowns... and found the PERFECT dresses for my bridesmaids! I had a Sunday morning appointment with Pam & she was phenomenal to work with! I had brought 3 of my 4 bridesmaids with me and Pam made us all feel welcome, while being fun, professional and helpful!! I was searching for a slate blue colored, long dress for my bridal party, that would be flattering on all figures - Babette's did not let us down! They are the only store that had the color I had been searching for! Pam measured my bridesmaids and took care of everything for me. After the order was placed, the gowns came in sooner than estimated and they are stunning!! I fully recommend Babette's to everyone looking for a gown - wedding/school dance/anything! They are the best! -

Grace Sent on 03/23/2015This is such a nice little boutique! I found my wedding dress here and it was EXACTLY the dress I was envisioning (designer and all)! I made an appointment. My personal sales associate, Claire, listened to the details I was looking for, immediately thought of a dress she had, and pulled it. It was the first gown I put on and I knew it was the one!!!!! I tried on a few more dresses just to make sure but I purchased it! They also gave me a bonus coupon for an accessory discount since I payed in full that day!
Also, I'd like to mention that Claire was a fantastic sales associate! I recommend to request her for your bridal appointment, and to reserve the space so that you are the only bride at that time. She was genuine with her opinions and I didn't feel pressured to purchase any expensive accessories to go with it. And since I was the only bride in the entire store at my scheduled appointment, Claire had full focus on me and what my needs and wants were. It really was a great memory that I will always have with my mother, future mother-in-law, and maid of honor.

User2124203 Sent on 05/08/2015I had the ententions on getting my Prom dress from babette's so i go inside and the place is a MESS! It's unorganized you have to look supper hard to find a dress. The store is too small for all of those dresses. Also it feels like there is so much dust in the air. The dresses are pretty don't get me wrong i found a beautiful dress. Though there place is out dated && needs more room its way to crowded. Moving along i had my dress altered to fit me. I told them when my Prom was and they took sooo long!!! Prom was approaching with a gap of 5 days until and still no dress they are unprofessional and when you call the workers seem to give off that idc attitude. Theres no exuse on why the dress should take that long. I'm going to 2 Proms and i took my dress to this other place they took a week with my other dress. Babette's is about 2-3 weeks over due. Its unexceptable and i will never recommend anyone to this place.

User2379982 Sent on 10/20/2015I find one thing in common with all the reviews and I agree after going to the store to look for a dress that the staff is TERRIBLE!! One girl particularly sticks out in my mind..the manager!! she was miserable and rude to all the customers. She leads by examples because the entire store needs a major attitude adjustment!! Sorry you live your miserable lives working in a store with over priced dresses collecting dust thinking you work at in NYC.. The shopping experience should be exciting for the prom dress shopper but instead your customer service is driving buyers elsewhere. I looked around the store and ran out of there as fast as I could!

The girls waiting on me, well they completely ignored us because they all 4 were helping another girl so I picked out dresses and did their job and when I needed them to clip dress or anything I had to tap on a shoulder of one of the many girls waiting on the other guest whom was also getting a prom dress. Maybe we didn't look like we had enough money maybe? I don't know why. But when that girl left and they realized that we didn't really have a max price range, then they all were so helpful! Alterations were done fast. But I was initially told it would be $40-60. Then told it was going to be $100 because she had to cut so much off. When we got it, she had cut the train off the dress! With no train in the back it was all bulky and hunched together. Manager insisted that the seamstress would not have done that unless we had told her to. I wouldn't have bought a dress that is completely different from what I wanted for $700! Some of the beading was missing and they assured me they would fix it. When I picked it up even more was missing and there were strings hanging in more than a few places. The straps weren't tightened enough. We took it to another alteration place to see if they could salvage it. It had looked like a kindergardener had put scissors to the dress. The little old ladies in their family owned seamstress shop were appalled and we were all just so let down that it was originally such a beautiful dress. They were able to fix some things. But they couldn't make the dress grow. She actually has to wear heels to prom because if she doesn't the dress comes up to her ankles and looks silly. They also said she had folded the hem 3 times and that she made it way too wide and that was another reason it looked so bulky at the bottom. They were able to take apart that part and fix the hem right and it did give her quarter inch more dress. Imagine the dress in the picture cut up to her ankles.
