Amazing venue! We could not have asked for a better location. The venue is absolutely beautiful! The team is so easy and helpful to work with.

Bailey farms barn and Venue is more than I could have ever dreamed of as a venue. The staff was incredible at every meeting prior and on our wedding day. My fiancé is very country and we joke that I am country club. I had request that Montana and Holly had not had before and they delivered higher than my expectations. Montana did our rehearsal for us because the officiant couldn’t be there and Holly ordered all our flowers in for us and they were Pinterest perfect and My goodness the arch was GORGEOUS! They also cleaned everything up for us the night of and set all our decor / belonging we brought with us to the venue so all we had to do was put them in the car the next morning. This venue was perfect because it was close to hotels for our wedding guest and sleeps 18 so our entire wedding party could stay on site. I could go on and on, but if you are looking for an outside ceremony and a tented reception this is it!!!

My now husband and I fell in love the first time we saw the venue. Both of us being creatives, as well as a gay couple, it was super important we not only find a place that was LGBTQ+ friendly, but also could help us create our vision in the form of a non conventional vampire ball wedding on Halloween weekend, welcoming people from all walks of life. Baileys made it happen for us with flying colors.

Montana was amazing every step of the way through. She was not only transparent and communicative, but also very flexible and realistic with both our expectations and how we could accomplish our vision. 10/10 would absolutely recommend Baileys to anyone who is looking to have a atmospheric and unique wedding, as well as a welcoming atmosphere for queer folks.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous, had additional amenities such as a farm house and cabin. The owners were able to do our floral as well which was amazing to have in house. They were responsive throughout the entire process, and there to assist the night of the wedding.

Holly & Montana were warm & welcoming! They were quick to respond whenever we had questions, and allowed us to come out for a walk through (a few times) before our date so we could be sure our vision was coming together with decor we were bringing ourselves. However, not much decor is needed as they have the property landscaped with beautiful flowers or fall decor. The greenery and lights in the tent make everything magical. They have many decor items to use or rent as well! We really enjoyed having accommodations for our wedding party on site - the two houses were perfect for the bride and groom to stay apart the night before the wedding. And then there was still plenty of room to have some wedding party members stay in the second house so we could have one to ourselves on our wedding night. The staff were there to help in every way possible- even on Friday during rehearsal for no extra charge. Quiet and beautiful venue. Highly recommend! We received so many compliments from our guests as well! We also really enjoyed all the small gathering spaces there are outside so our guests had different areas to hang out and mingle. The fire pit at the end of the night was also one of our most favorite parts about the day - just a few close friends snuggled up around the fire before we turned in. We will cherish our wedding weekend at Bailey Farms for all our days! ❤

This venue was absolutely stunning! I got so many compliments from my guests on how pretty & put together it was. The owners & staff were amazing, too! Communication was clear from day one. My questions throughout the wedding planning process were answered almost immediately! My day wouldn’t have been as amazing as it was without all the help from owners & staff. After touring over 20 venues in the Des Moines area, I found Bailey Farms through the Knot and began messaging with the owner, Montana. She was so accommodating for a tour and my fiancé and I drove out there with an open mind but expecting another not-quite-our-style venue. When we pulled up, my jaw dropped. The lawns, flowers, and landscaping is the first impression. The inside of the party tent is exactly what we were looking for -- chandeliers, greenery, wood tables, and a general sense of special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed touring the property with Montana and were so impressed by the cleanliness of the facilities. Every inch of the space is updated. The perk of having several bedrooms at your disposal for the weekend was the icing on the cake for us. It felt like Montana was in our corner from the moment we met her. She was transparent about pricing, decor, and other inclusions. She made it clear that she and her team would be there every step of the way. She accommodated a second tour for my family to help us make our decision and kept us updated on available dates as we were deliberating. After we confirmed that this was our ideal venue, her team stayed in contact about decor lists and payment schedules. One of my favorite wedding planning meetings was at Bailey Farms about a month before our day, where Montana and Holly walked through every single detail with me and my mom. They heard me, made suggestions, and took detailed notes. After telling Holly my exact dreams for our flowers, she gave us a detailed quote and we were pleased to find it was within our budget! The week of our wedding I receieved texts from Montana about our head table arrangement, and just knowing they were thinking about our event already made me feel supported. Montana and Holly were present but by no means overwhelming the weekend of our wedding. Holly's work on our flowers was incredible and exactly met my expectations. The venue was as clean as the day we toured it. All our ceremony chairs were set up perfectly and my family didn't have to worry about moving furniture. I highly recommend renting their extra seating arrangements for your event. Our guests used the lounge seating quite a bit during the reception. Overall, I highly recommend this venue. Beyond beautiful, great owners, and the perfect place to make a special memory.

This country farm venue is absolutely stunning everywhere you look! The venue grounds are beautifully manicured and cared for with all kinds of flowers, trees and shrubs. The accents of old machinery, grain bin turned bar, stream and pond and various patio spaces are perfect. You can’t even begin to imagine how gorgeous the inside of the venue is! Words and pictures don’t do justice, you must see in person! The stained floors, handmade tables/chairs, backdrop for the wedding table, everything is well crafted and thought of. They have lots of options for table decor, space arrangements/set up, serving stations and more! The grain bin turned bar is very cute and has a patio with tables and chairs for guests to enjoy. This venue is huge!!! There is a private bathroom building for guests and a catering kitchen that are perfect! Both of these buildings made life for our caterers/bar tenders much easier which added to our perfect celebration.

Montana and her team were so wonderful to work with and extremely helpful with the whole process. They really focus on what they can do to make your special day or event exactly what you want!

I haven’t mentioned about the optional barn and farmhouse for overnight guests or the wedding party! The decore and accommodations are 5 star quality. This whole venue is an absolute hidden gem! All of our houseguests felt like they were on a mini vacation. If you want it all for your special event, this place is it. You will absolutely not find a better option or value for your money anywhere else!

Montana and the staff at Bailey Farms were truly a dream to work with. Montana really never told me no - even when I requested three different meetings and walk throughs with her before the final meeting. When we booked this venue, they had yet to have the wedding and were still in the process of building, setting up and getting things together. I really had to trust the vision that she was selling when we booked and oh boy did they deliver.
The house for the girls to stay in is so cozy and has more than enough room and beds for a large wedding party. It was stocked with everything we could imagine. Makeup wipes, bath salts, aromatherapy for showers, hangers, a coffee maker, various kitchen items, lighted personal mirrors and the list could go on and on. The beds were also so comfortable! There was a perfect amount of room for us to get ready the morning of. It was also the perfect distance from where the boys were staying.
The barn for the boys is smaller and quaint but had everything the boys needed for the weekend. They had to share beds, but they didn't care! they had fully stocked bathrooms and kitchen along with the perfect amount of space for them to get ready the morning of.
Because they have a majority of the decor that you might need already, it made set up and tear down so easy. When we arrived on Friday afternoon, the decor items that we requested from them were waiting for us in the tent to put where we wanted. All of the tables, chairs and backdrops were in place for us. We had the tent decorated fully in about an 2 hours. Montana showed up for the rehearsal and helped us walk through the ceremony and dealt really well with keeping our rowdy groomsmen in line.
The day of, she was constantly checking on me to make sure I was okay, she helped direct all the vendors to where they need to be, and when we had to make the last minute call to move the ceremony inside because of the weather, she took 100% of that stress off of me and PROMISED me that it would be just as beautiful inside as it would be outside. Her and the staff pivoted quickly, smoothly and professionally. Every time I saw a staff member, they were so complimentary of me and the wedding and always asked if there was something they could do for me. Even with the weather and me moving the schedule up, they helped keep the peace, keep the schedule and keep me calm during a chaotic day.
When it came time to clean up, they took care of a majority of it. Placing the things we brought on one table in the tent so when we came the next morning to pick it all up it was a breeze.
Overall, I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. This review is honestly just the tip of the iceberg of all they did for us and my gratitude for them. I could really write a book. They are truly a huge reason why this was the best day of my life. I would work for them if I could and I will recommend them to everyone, always. A true dream come true.

Bailey Farms went above and beyond to make my wedding day perfect and exactly what I wanted. The facilities are beautifully decorated and clean. The venue property is large enough to have a big wedding, but not feel crammed. Tons of outside space to utilize and enjoy. I highly recommend using Bailey Farms as your florist, as well. Holly did a BEAUTIFUL job with the flowers. Above and beyond my expectations.

Holly and Montana were easy to work with and very willing to help in every step of the process, as well as provided great advice from their experience with other weddings. The service was great and they amazing people to work with. I recommend Bailey Farms to any couple in need of the perfect venue and experience. You will not be disappointed.

This venue is simply amazing! When you arrive, you are immediately transported to a country paradise. The thought and detail that has gone into the landscaping is impeccable and this gives your photographer unlimited options for photos. Then you walk into the tent and are transported yet again to a chic, but still rustic oasis. Again the amount of thought that went into the details of the inside of the tent are incredible. Plus they have plenty of decorations for you to use if you choose. The cost of the venue is reasonable and you get a lot of bang for your buck here. But the best part of this venue is the staff. This is a family run venue and they have put a lot of love, sweat, and tears into making this place magical and it shows. They were in constant communication about things and had several meetings to go over the details for the big day. They were also very helpful the day of the wedding. I can’t sing their praises enough! Holly, Montana, and team thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our special day so amazing!

The best place and greatest ppl

This venue was BEAUTIFUL and also a great value! Montana made all my dreams come true and was amazing to work with. Multiple ceremony spots, and the tent is heated and cooled so it doesn’t even feel like a tent. You can also rent their farmhouse so out of town guests have a place to stay! Venue planning was seamless with Bailey farms, I promise! If you’re looking for kind of a “one stop shop”, look no further :)

One of the most beautiful venues in the Des Moines area! They were great to work with and I wouldn’t do a single thing differently. So thankful we found this place. Our wedding ended up like something out of a storybook.

In every wedding ever there’s always hiccups. But Bailey Farms did their very best to take on the stress for even the little things. They are extremely professional and take the time to get to know you so that they make sure your special day is exactly what you want. They work with you and make sure that you enjoy it as much as your guests do. My now husband and I are in awe of how amazing our wedding day was and we couldn’t be happier. They have a million different backgrounds for pictures all at one location. So many textures and opportunities. They do their own flowers on site and have everything you could possibly need or want. We recommend this place to everyone!!!

My husband and I were married at Bailey Farms in July 2022, and the experience was wonderful. We had access to the venue from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. The day of was incredible, and went off without a hitch. The staff was anticipatory and responsive and the venue was stunning. It was absolutely beyond anything I had envisioned. Beyond that, Montana, Hollie and Bonnie, along with many others, made the planning process easy and enjoyable. They were responsive, flexible, professional, and went out of their way to accommodate any and all requests. We cannot recommend Bailey Farms enough and we look forward to planning future events here!

We are so very happy that we chose to have our wedding at Bailey Farms! They made everything run so smoothly day of! Montana was so responsive to all of my random questions I had leading up to the big day! The attention to detail was amazing! We had rain the day of wedding, but they had people outside making sure everything was all clean and looking beautiful! Bailey's was absolutely perfect! Wonderful landscape and set up was amazing! The inside of the tent was absolutely beautiful with greenery and chandeliers! Even though the day was hot the tent was nice and cool! The option of having 2 houses to stay at was icing on the cake with having bridal party from out of town! There are nice patios for guest to use and beautiful landscaping that's a perfect back drop for photos.
I would recommend Bailey's for everyone's wedding or events!

Everything about our day was absolutely perfect. The venue was gorgeous and even more so at night. Holly and Montana were with us every step of the way and unbelievably accommodating and worked with us to make our wedding as special as possible.

I am super sad that I have to leave this review. I was super excited to have my wedding at Bailey Farms Barn and Venue. When I first visited the venue, I had asked a few specific criteria. 1. Will the venue allow for 350 guests 2. Can the greenery be taken down. Onsite the owner mentioned that the greenery could be taken down and the guest count was good at 350. After emailing the owner prior to signing a contract - she shared that they prefer not to take the greenery down, however if they have to there would be an additional charge. After signing the contract and a few months later, it was shared that the greenery could come down for a minimum of $350 and $450 to put back up. A few weeks ago - I wanted to visit the venue to see what the scenery would look like exactly one year out from my wedding. Upon arrival, I felt I was treated unprofessionally. The second we stepped into the venue - they told me that I could only have 250 guests now that they have had a few other weddings. They additionally then shared that the greenery more than likely couldn’t come down. Needless to say - I left the venue in tears and with extreme anxiety. A few days later - they let me know that if I wanted the greenery down, it was going to cost $2500 to take the greenery down and $3000 to put it back up. I understand that the venue has a business to run and that they are people too - but I feel it is my right to share my experiences so that if these are important things that you want at your wedding - you don’t have to search for an entirely new venue like I had to.
