  Wedding Makeup

  Bailey was an incredible choice for wedding makeup! She was on time, time efficient with my schedule and literally did everything I asked of my makeup and everyone else. It legit looked the same at the end of the night and even the next morning. I cannot recommend Bailey enough!

  The best in the business!!!

  I cannot say enough amazing things about Bailey and the makeup she did for my big day!!! The makeup lasted ALL day, even through all of the sweating and dancing!! You get out of Bailey’s chair feeling like the most beautiful girl in the entire world. She makes you feel so confident and will be your biggest hype woman. It is not just makeup you are paying for. You are also paying for the best experience you could possibly have. Bailey is worth every penny. I cannot thank or recommend Bailey enough! Not to mention all the compliments I received that night!! Love love love her ❤️

  The best MUA in the greater Charlotte area

  Bailey is amazing, beyond amazing actually! She did wedding for a few of my friends and after seeing her work for their big days I prayed she was available for my wedding. She is professional, personable, easy to get along with, and knows exactly what she’s doing! I’m not used to wearing a lot of makeup so was hesitate about a “full glam” look. She understood my concerns and went above and beyond to make me feel beautiful, but still like myself. She did makeup for my engagement pictures, and then her and her assistant Lyndsey did wedding makeup for myself, my mom, six bridesmaids and even made my flower girl feel special too. The makeup quality held up all night (and trust me I danced a lot!) She was a joy to work with and I couldn’t recommend her enough. Do yourself a favor and hire Bailey, you won’t regret it for a second 🤍

  Extraordinary Makeup Artist

  I can’t believe It’s taken me this long to write a review.
  I came across Bailey on Instagram as a friend sent me her profile. I really liked what i saw and was hoping she was available. Thank God she was! She is beyond talented. She was always responsive to questions. Even now I still ask her questions and my wedding was in October! I never felt more beautiful. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous. Makeup stayed in tact the whole night. Makeup looked fabulous in pictures.
  I can go on and on about how talented she is and how she’s a sweet kind person, but her portfolio speaks for itself. If she’s available for your date, snag her up. You won’t regret it!!

  The best Glam makeup and the best girl there is!

  I don't think there are enough characters on here to allow me time to describe how amazing Bailey is. She made myself as well as my bridesmaids look incredibly flawless on the wedding day. She took her time in my trials and I trusted her fully. I found her on instagram through a friend and had already booked a different makeup service when we were discussing my wedding date. After stalking her instagram, getting to know her, and seeing how great of an artist she was, I cancelled the other artist. Booking her was the best decision I have ever made. We were very close to the Corona scare but she never hesitated with communication. She even brought an assistant to help day of and they both helped make my mom, grandma, mother in law, sister in law, and myself look spectacular. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bailey. Book her early too, she fills up so fast! I love her and if I ever do anything in the future where I need to look Glam and Flawless, I'll fly from Florida so Bailey can do my makeup. Shes the only person I trust to make me look amazing.

  Best of the best of the BEST!!

  Okay SO, I wish I could write a whole book on how amazing my experience was with Bailey! Myself and my bridesmaids absolutely loved her and would never recommend anyone else! Her work is absolutely gorgeous and what’s even better is that my make up and lashes stayed on for THREE whole days after the wedding! I loved my make up so much that I wanted to leave it all on as long as possible! She truly made us feel so beautiful and I have never felt more beautiful before. Plus she is the sweetest ever! Now I need a reason to get my make up done by her again! 😍 if you guys are needling a make up artist, do not choose anyone else BUT her! There is truly no one better!!   Absolutely Amazing!

  Can't say enough about how amazing Bailey is! I felt so comfortable and at ease working with her throughout my engagement. I can be picky with makeup, but it was so nice to be able to sit back and let Bailey work her craft. I can truly say I loved the way I looked on my wedding day! My bridal party and I had a blast with Bailey on the wedding day and each and every one of my bridesmaids LOVED their look - such a good feeling as the bride.
  
  Most importantly - my makeup lasted in 95 degree heat for both my bridal portraits and my wedding day!! I didn't want to take it off at the end of the night.
  
  I now consider Bailey a friend and will be taking her classes/supporting her in the future!

She was so easy to communicate with, professional, and genuine! I enjoyed every conversation we had prior to the big day as well as on my wedding day. She is so talented and it is truly evident she is passionate about what she does. I had 13 people who needed makeup and a timeline that made for a super early morning. Bailey and her team were friendly and left me completely confident everyone would be happy with their make up and done within our timeline. I cannot wait till I have an excuse for Bailey to do my makeup again. She is as sweet as she is talented and I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her!

  Oh my gosh, Bailey is simply amazing! She did the makeup for me, my mom, and my bridesmaids on my wedding day and she made every single one of us look like movie stars. And I cried the entire wedding ceremony and throughout my Maid of Honor’s speech and my makeup still looked flawless! It was incredible. Also, she was so great to work with from the first time we spoke. She was very responsive and she was organized and flexible. I can’t recommend her enough! She’s the best! Thanks again, Bailey!!!

  I cannot even put into words how much I enjoyed working and spending time with Bailey. Not only is she an amazing artist, but also such a joy to be around. She makes you feel like a princess on your special day. Two days before I was supposed to have my bridal portraits done, I sustained a pretty severe wax burn from a salon on my face. The top 2 layers of my skin were gone on my cheeks. Bailey was able to work her magic, and the burns weren't even visible when she was done! She really saved the day. I could go on and on about how awesome she is. I promise you will not be disappointed if you ever have the pleasure of working with her!

  I stumbled across Bailey on Instagram (@baileyupchurchmua) and have loved her ever since! Bailey is so patient and can take any vision you have and make it a reality! She did the makeup for myself and all of my bridesmaids and so many of my guests could not get over how incredible our makeup was. Every time I book with her she always goes out of her way to accomodate me, and is very flexible in meeting times/places. I can not recommend Bailey enough!!

  Bailey did my make up this past November for my sisters wedding. It was great that she traveled to where we were getting ready!! She also was great at listening to what each bridesmaid wanted. I would ABSOULTELY recommended her for any occasion that you need make up done.

She listens to your ideas and conceptions and does exactly just that, with her expertise touches. The make up is flawless, looks amazing on camera, and the best part is that it doesn't budge all day! I even slept in it and wore my wedding make up on the next day for my honeymoon. She can do false lashes that look realistic and so glam! If you are worried about spending money on makeup, don't be! This is a priceless service,and your face will be the highlight of your wedding photos! Bailey is so sweet and easy to work with! I Highly recommend her!

  Canceled on me 5 weeks before my wedding.

  This is my very first one-star review so I’m not sure if this is too much detail or not, but I feel compelled to share this with other brides.
  
  I was initially drawn to Bailey's work because she has great reviews on this website and portrays her work in a captivating way on Instagram. I am sure that for many people, she has done a great job with their make-up. However, I had some pretty unfortunate and negative encounters with Bailey, especially when I was slightly displeased with the result from my trial. After asking some questions to see how we can adjust, and then receiving defensive text messages from her, she broke our contract and canceled on me 5 weeks before the wedding. Read on if you would like the full story:
  
  I had scheduled a trial with Bailey 5 weeks before my wedding. It was quite difficult to schedule this as she had missed my email and I did not get a response from her for days until I had emailed her again to ask the same question. Finally, we had scheduled something and I was so excited to work with her to see what we could come up with for a look on my wedding day. The day before the trial, I had texted Bailey to confirm that her and I were still set. She was asking ME what time we scheduled and then stated that the original 11:00 time that we had planned no longer worked for her. She had other priorities, which I understood, so I was okay with moving the times around. However, we only had about an hour for the trial now and that made me super nervous.
  
  At the trial, I showed Bailey a few pictures of make-up inspo I had pinned on Pinterest. She quickly looked at them and we got to the make-up. I had thought maybe she would ask me questions along the way of what was working and what wasn’t, but nope. She did my face, closed everything up and said, “Okay, we’re done.” No questions of “What do you think?” or “Do you want to adjust anything?” I didn't even get to look into a mirror until she was showing me the final result. Directly following that, she had to leave for her other priorities so I felt so rushed out of there.
  
  Later that night, I texted her and asked her questions about my make-up since we didn’t get the opportunity to do so at the trial. I noticed that my make-up was coming off by the end of the day (the foundation was separating on my face) and I was confused because I wasn’t doing anything like sweating or crying. I have an oilier face so I didn’t know if there was something that could have been done to make the make-up last longer. I texted Bailey and asked very nicely how we could avoid my make-up chipping off on the wedding day. Seriously, it was that simple of a QUESTION. Didn’t complain, didn’t insult her. Just asked, because, well, it’s my wedding day!
  
  She responded with extreme defensiveness saying that it's an "unrealistic expectation" that my make-up would last (again, confusion sets in after reading reviews from other brides saying that their make-up lasted all day with no problem). She also said “no one is going to be that up close and personal with you at your wedding.” … My husband-to-be isn’t?! She fixated on the fact that I had oily skin and practically said that because of this, she couldn’t obtain a lasting look. I apologized multiple times if I had upset her and she disregarded those texts. Eventually, she stopped texting me completely and leaving me in the dust, unsure of what I had said that could have made her react like this.
  
  2 days later, I receive a long and extremely rude email from Bailey telling me that I have “red flags.” Y’all, I was in shock. I could not believe that someone who is a professional in this business would talk to me like this. She proceeded to tell me that she is no longer going to be my make-up artist because she felt that she couldn’t make me happy with my make-up. Y’all. I had ASKED her a question because I wanted my make-up to last and I wanted to love it on my wedding day. I mean, what bride doesn’t want this? I couldn't believe that asking her this would result in her canceling on my 5 weeks before my wedding day. She goes on to say that she was offended that I asked her if she needed a hotel to sleep in the night before my wedding. I did this with all of my vendors to ensure they were all accommodated since they were coming from all over the state. Bailey, however, took that as me "not trusting her" and said that she felt like I didn’t think she would show up to my wedding day because of that. I had asked a mutual friend if she was reliable MONTHS ago because I wanted to ensure I was hiring the right person before making moves and Bailey took that as me "questioning her integrity" and called this a “red flag” of mine. My other "red flag" was that I had texted her instead of emailing her, when I have an Instagram message from her saying "yes it's ***-***-**** if you have any questions, just text me" after asking for her number to communicate easier. She did say that any major changes to timing, bridal party number or booking sessions should be done through email, which I understood. The only time I texted was when I had a question outside of those things, and yet, that was being used against me.
  
  To this day, I am in shock about this situation. I felt gaslighted and confused. It felt as if the contract held no accountability or value and I was left scrambling to find someone that was available on such short notice. Look, I am huge on kindness and treating people with respect, and to have been treated like this was so uncalled for. I spent the first day of my bachelorette party weekend (the day she sent the email, which she knew I was attending) in a literal panic and searching for hours and hours for someone that could be available in 5 short weeks.
  
  Overall, this scenario with Bailey was unprofessional, insensitive and unnecessary. We are adults and should have been able to talk this out and come to an agreement. I left this situation with Bailey feeling insulted and gaslit, which no professional has ever made me feel. Listen, I am all for sticking up for yourself when you feel like you must, but this wasn't an attack, this wasn't even a complaint! It was a question and it should not have led to this.

I am sure that for many people, she has done a great job with their make-up. However, I had some pretty unfortunate and negative encounters with Bailey, especially when I was slightly displeased with the result from my trial. After asking some questions to see how we can adjust, and then receiving defensive text messages from her, she broke our contract and canceled on me 5 weeks before the wedding. It was quite difficult to schedule this as she had missed my email and I did not get a response from her for days until I had emailed her again to ask the same question. Finally, we had scheduled something and I was so excited to work with her to see what we could come up with for a look on my wedding day. The day before the trial, I had texted Bailey to confirm that her and I were still set. She was asking ME what time we scheduled and then stated that the original 11:00 time that we had planned no longer worked for her.
