Great value and went EXACTLY the way we wanted
Definitely check out David L Baker for your reception if you're ballin' on a budget. They were able to fit our budget well within reason and had all the amenities that my, now, wife was looking for. They were great at communicating with us throughout and helped us plan this stressful, but joyous(!) time.
Amber gave us the first walkthrough and Julia helped us in more detail afterwards. Julia did a great job coordinating with our wedding coordinator. IF anything terrible happened during the wedding... I definitely never found out! So good job to both of them I guess!
Logistically, there's plenty of parking, plenty of wiggle room, multiple bathrooms, bar... What more does a reception need? Definitely give them a look!Definitely check out David L Baker for your reception if you're ballin' on a budget. The best venue!
I stumbled upon this venue by happenstance & we couldn't be happier with our choice. The booking, tasting & planning we so wonderful, that it only made our day of even better. I cannot express how perfect the staff was. They were wonderful & helped everything run smoothly. I had a timeline that was followed perfectly.. so perfectly that everyone was surprised at how well it ran... lol. Special thanks to Derek(GM) & Kira (event coordinator) for bringing this day together for us. We will tip our hats to the chef, Pat, the food was delicious.. I wish I still had more to consume. Also special thanks to the rest of the staff: Carlos, Spencer, Jake, Kristalynn (bartender)), Keval (Assistant GM) for making this day our best day yet! Thank you David L. Beautiful place
This place is beautiful and you won’t get a better deal than this. Derek Sipe is the MAN! He took on a wedding that was not his with less than 2 months to prepare. He made everything so easy and accommodating. Words are not enough to express the work this man put in and always with a big smile on his face . I hope his superiors know what a hard working man they have. Carlos was also great helping with the decorating, during the event and getting our keepsakes out at the end. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! Nothing could have made it better.This place is beautiful and you won’t get a better deal than this. Derek Sipe is the MAN! Beautiful & Wonderful Wedding Setting
Nicole was our coordinator provided by Baker's Banquet Hall and she was amazing. She helped us through the whole process and was very patient. A+++++++++++
On the day of the wedding, the place looked AMAZING and the staff was great. They did a great job serving the food and taking care of our guest. I had a few guests who had allergies and they were very accommodating to them. We also had an open bar for wine and beers.... A++++++++++++
The place that they contract with to do our Wedding Cake was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!! The cake was DELICIOUS!!!!!! I will definitely be ordering cakes from them for any of my future events.
Overall I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to hold an event... whatever it may be!!!!

My wedding here was AMAZING! Nicole was so helpful in planning all the details of my wedding with me, and I couldn't have asked for a better venue. We had a wonderful experience doing our wedding at David L Baker. I only wish the food portion sizes were bigger, we had a lot of bigger gentlemen that are heavy eaters and the portions were on the light side. Chris and his team were amazing from the start. They were there for us from start to finish. Booking was a breeze. Chris allowed us to add nearly any and every type of decor we could possibly think of. In his words "If you can find it, you can do it." Chris was always available to answer every question I had even if he had already answered it 5 times previously and yet never seemed bothered. He was always eager to help. He was quick to respond to emails, 99% of the time answered every phone call and if he was busy he would return my calls within no more than 2 hours. DLB staff treat their guess right and offer weddings for the perfect couple on a budget. We had an amazing place for the price and the meals, cake, and champagne were awesome! If have another large event I will definitely be giving Chris a call to book again with DLB. Lastly, what was a huge plus is that they were very flexible with payments. We made our initial deposit and paid as we wanted to up through the final payment which was due a week before our event. I also loved the fact that they accommodated to allowing us to set up the day before and tear down the day after because after all, what bride wants to worry about who is going to go and decorate her reception room 2 hours prior to the event?!?! These guys are awesome! Chris, you need a raise! Your amazing at what you do with an awesome personality! Keep up the good work team!Chris and his team were amazing from the start. We chose this location due to the landscape that it comes along with. As the wedding was going to held outdoors we preferred having a location that had well preserved exterior. To our delight we were not only allowed to customize the location to fit the setting of a traditional Indian wedding, but the staff actively aided in accomplishing this task by making changes to the venue. Kaitlyn and her staff were very accommodating of every request and were prompt in their execution. Two days before the wedding we had issues with the color of chair covers. To resolve this issue Kaitlyn personally travelled around town to find the correct color and negotiated a price that was promised to us in advance. In addition to numerous changes made to the bar settings, the menu , location of the tables, the size of the dance floor, the availability of all the resources requested by the DJ and having a caterer that cooked fresh bread on sight I can only begin to draw a list of things that could have gone wrong. I am thankful to the constant and diligent attention paid to all our requests. I would recommend David L. Baker to anyone who is looking for a pleasant experience.

I Laretta Carmichael, manager of Friar Tux shop in Huntington Beach,I have worked as a vendor for both Kaitlyn and David L Baker Golf Club. Not only have I worked with her on a business bases but my family and I have attended a wedding in this location. I have been to many weddings and I was very impressed on how friendly the workers were there. The service was fantastic! They were very organized and everything went as planned. My husband and I were married at David L. Baker Golf Center last June, and it turned out wonderful. The wedding site is absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The banquet room is nice and big, so you can dress it up anyway you like. Kaitlyn, the wedding coordinator, was fabulous. She was the biggest help, she came up with ideas, went with us to rent props for the wedding, and was easy to get a hold of (which I am super greatful for). On the day of the wedding everything went perfect, she really helped make ceremony to the reception flow. She will work with you to make everything perfect and how you want it.

This venue was perfect for our wedding day. Everything was taken care of that I wanted bundled together so I didn't have to make a hundred phone calls. It really was easy. The ceremony area was beautiful and I was able to decorate it how I wanted. Pictures in the golf course/park area turned out really beautiful. We even got a picture on the bridge over the pond. Chris was quick to answer and respond to any calls and questions I had. I picked this place because my cousin got married here a year prior to my wedding and it was a blast. My wedding turned out just as great. My guests told me it was one of the best weddings they had been to.This venue was perfect for our wedding day. Baker's Park Place Banquet Center could not have been a more perfect location for our wedding this past October! My husband and I looked at 15 different potential wedding venues (from OC, LA and IE) before we went back to Baker’s Park Place and booked! I cannot say enough good things about Chris Castro and his team. Chris’s wonderful & easy-going personality was one major factor we knew we wanted to have our wedding here. From day one to the day before the wedding, his response time to emails (especially my 50+ daily questions), phone calls, knowledge and guidance made it that much easier for us to choose Baker’s Park Place. Having our wedding all at one location was also a plus! It was nice to have our ceremony outside, the cocktail hour both indoor and outdoor as guests get to see the sunset and pretty greenery around, and then walk into a complete separate room for the reception. In addition, I knew before I got married that I wanted certain items for my wedding (chivari chairs, particular linens, draping, candles, etc.) and I wasn’t going to comprise. Chris allowed all of these + more within a reasonable price! (He even allowed us to have a taco guy come later in the night for our after party! Not many wedding venues will allow this). With his accommodations, this allowed us to stay within our wedding budget but have our dream wedding! Another BIG plus was Chris was so flexible with payments. We made our initial deposit and he was ok with us making our final payment couple of days prior to the wedding date. This is huge in the wedding world since brides & grooms have so much other vendor cost to take care of. Lastly, we were lucky enough to not have any other events booked the Thursday or Friday before our wedding day, so setting up and allowing me to view everything before day of was a HUGE and stress-free advantage.

My husband and I looked at 15 different potential wedding venues (from OC, LA and IE) before we went back to Baker’s Park Place and booked! I cannot say enough good things about Chris Castro and his team. Chris’s wonderful & easy-going personality was one major factor we knew we wanted to have our wedding here. From day one to the day before the wedding, his response time to emails (especially my 50+ daily questions), phone calls, knowledge and guidance made it that much easier for us to choose Baker’s Park Place. Having our wedding all at one location was also a plus! It was nice to have our ceremony outside, the cocktail hour both indoor and outdoor as guests get to see the sunset and pretty greenery around, and then walk into a complete separate room for the reception. In addition, I knew before I got married that I wanted certain items for my wedding (chivari chairs, particular linens, draping, candles, etc.) and I wasn’t going to comprise. Chris allowed all of these + more within a reasonable price! (He even allowed us to have a taco guy come later in the night for our after party! Not many wedding venues will allow this). With his accommodations, this allowed us to stay within our wedding budget but have our dream wedding! Another BIG plus was Chris was so flexible with payments. We made our initial deposit and he was ok with us making our final payment couple of days prior to the wedding date. This is huge in the wedding world since brides & grooms have so much other vendor cost to take care of. Lastly, we were lucky enough to not have any other events booked the Thursday or Friday before our wedding day, so setting up and allowing me to view everything before day of was a HUGE and stress-free advantage.

Bakers park place is a great place for any occasion. I love that we were able to really customize our menu, decorations, and that the price even included an amazing cake! The venue is nice and was so beautiful at sunset with all the greenery around. Chris and his staff were awesome and really made the wedding planning process so much easier than I was expecting!Bakers park place is a great place for any occasion. The newly remodeled room is very beautiful and gives the event an elegant feeling. The event coordinator is very nice and helpful.
