  Exceeded our expectations

  A BIG thank you to Steve, Terry-Ann and the staff at Ballard’s for making our wedding day visions come to life! We had the most amazing 3 days full of family, friends and FUN for our wedding weekend. Terry-Ann went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and it all truly exceeded our expectations. It started off with a welcome bonfire the first night, our wedding ceremony the next and then a beach day with cabanas and sun! We can’t say enough wonderful things about Ballard’s and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a non-traditional idea of a wedding with the highlights being on simply family and fun. Thank you again!!!

  Amazing!!!

  Ballard’s was the perfect location for our August 6, 2021 Wedding Welcome Bon Fire. The venue was amazing, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were there earlier in the day with friends, and we were blown away at how the venue completely transformed for our event. We dropped off some games and decorations earlier in the day and the team at Ballard’s put everything together and created something really special. We had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic, but throughout it all the entire team at Ballard’s was so flexible and accommodating. We highly recommend the Ballard’s Bon Fire!

  The BEST Bonfire Welcome Dinner with Marko!

  We had our Welcome Dinner Bonfire at Ballards on the beach the night before our wedding on August 21st in the middle of a pandemic & I can not commend them enough! Marko was absolutely amazing he coordinated everything, spoke to the state for endless hours, went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe and followed all the covid regulations all while making sure we had the most amazing time! I have been coming to Block since I was a little girl and Ballards can get a bad rep when it gets crowded with day trippers (who are just enjoying themselves same as everyone else) but I LOVE IT & want to let any bride know that they are beyond amazing to host any wedding events! It was stress free which was the complete opposite from my actual wedding venue the next day, who actually told me that he should charge me for his time he spent speaking with the State to make sure the covid regulations were met. I wish Marko coordinated my actual wedding! He was so professional and went above and beyond for us! The Bonfire was an amazing atmosphere and the food was great of course the drinks were as well! I can not thank Marko enough for the best night! All my guests were raving about how amazing it was!

  Beyond expectations

  My husband and I got married on 9/21/19 at Ballard’s on the beach. The staff were extremely helpful during the day of the ceremony and the day before. Since it is an island it can be difficult to plan a wedding when your not physically on the island. That being said, Ballard’s completely went beyond my expectations. It was absolutely perfect for the best beach wedding. Marko does a great job communicating and Steve the owner is so accommodating. We had an amazing day and couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. I would highly recommend this vendor!!

  I want to share my candid wedding experience at Ballards. My husband & I booked a small wedding there for about 60 guests for the end of Sept of 2017. We had a super easy & responsive booking, but as soon as the wedding day came, the promises made by the venue broke down. Since we were a small wedding, we had a sectioned off private space, & did not rent the entire venue. I was promised 2 outdoor heaters, but only received one. I was promised by Marko he would be around to help facilitate the event, but I barely saw him. The lighting near my guests by the beach was non-existent. And some random boxes of ours were left of a table near a main walkway. We were also promised a private bonfire, & I was very upset to find one set up right next to ours, & we had to share a tiki bar. Had I known the service during our actual wedding would be so lacking, we would've booked elsewhere. I hope this review helps those who are on the fence about booking here.
