Absolutely Incredible!

Barnhouse Village was the best choice we made for our wedding. From start to finish, Alyssa was simple incredible. Very friendly and very knowledgable on not just her venue, but also able to help us with all of the small details to make our day the most memorable. She truly understands how stressful wedding planning can be and she made every effort to ease that stress for us. Weeks before the wedding, we felt so prepared and calm due to her professionalism and organization. You would think we were the only event happening for months with how attentive she was. The staff executed seamlessly and there was not one hiccup from ceremony to our last song.

We cannot express our gratitude enough for how great we were treated and how incredible our experience was.

Lastly, the food!! Absolutely amazing. Especially the mac and cheese. Our guests had the biggest compliments for the wedding cake as well!

Whoever is reading this review, look no further. Barnhouse Village is the place for your event.

Barn house village was nothing but amazing!

Barn house village was incredible! The food was amazing and that’s what all my guests are still talking about. On top of that they made my cake and that was also amazing. The rooms attached to the venue were so cozy! The ceremony location was beautiful, & you would never know you are close to a busy road! 10/10 recommend barn house village.

Absolutely incredible!

We just celebrated our wedding on September 14, 2019 at Barnhouse. From the day we walked in for our initial tour we just knew this space was it. Candice was a dream to work with. She answered all of our questions before we even knew what to ask! As a young couple planning a wedding on our own, having Candice help us along the way was incredible. She helped us from day one (which was almost two years before our actual wedding!) with vendor recommendations as well as decorative and other helpful planning suggestions. Candice and Barb made sure every detail was attended to the night of our wedding. The food was delicious and the space is just incredible. The gazebo garden area is a hidden gem. It made for incredible photos and a beautiful ceremony. We are so beyond thankful for all of their hard work in making our day so special. Highly recommend celebrating your next event here!

We had our 45 Class Reunion here, in the Carriage Room and it was a wonderful evening. The staff went out of their way to make everyone was taken care of and pleased. The food was delicious the waiter and waitress were friendly. The bartender was just so nice. Candice handled every need spot on!! The music by holiday sounds were great too! I will recommend this place to everyone. Thanks Barnhouse for a great time.

We had our wedding reception at Barnhouse Village on October 14th and it was truly AMAZING! The venue is beautiful. From the Vineyard Room for cocktail hour to the Grand Ballroom for the reception, every detail was absolutely perfect and everything I had envisioned. Candice and Barb were wonderful to work with, quickly responding to all of my last minute emails as my wedding day approached. I am so grateful that we chose Barnhouse Village, and I highly recommend them for any of your event needs!

I had my wedding here on 9/2/16. This place is AWESOME. Candice and Kelsey are fantastic and just a great help, they are just full of wonderful ideas. The food was AMAZING, the staff was excellent. I still have guest rave how great this place was, how good the food was, and how beautiful it was. I will definitely use them again for other occasions and would highly recommend to everyone.

Barnhouse Village did an amazing job! From the beginning with planning everything all the way through to the wedding day, Candice was great! Her experience and professionalism made everything easy and stress free for me. The outside gazebo was beautiful! Being surrounded by the tall trees and beautiful landscaping made it feel intimate and private. Candice's assistant Brittany and the staff were so nice and accommodating. They were always right there if you needed any thing. Chef Jon did a wonderful job! From hors d'oeuvres to dinner everything was delicious. My guests were very impressed and had a great time. My wedding was everything I hoped for and more. It was perfect!!!

I can't sing enough praises for BarnHouse Village, especially Candice.

We chose the Barnhouse 13 months prior to our wedding and Candice was extremely helpful and always very quick to respond to any questions I had. The location was set up beautifully and I didn't have to worry about a thing.

We did have one (that I am aware of) guest that was served an unsatisfactory meal and the staff was very apologetic and rectified it very quickly. All of my guests had a fantastic time and there wasn't a single complaint I could give. The cake provided with our package was incredible. The food was pretty good (I feel that if I actually sat down and ate when it was served, I would have liked it more) and the bartenders were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

I highly recommend this venue for a beautiful and reasonably priced celebration of any sort.

My husband and I booked our ceremony and reception at the Barn House Village in Bath, Pennsylvania. Words cannot describe how happy we are! Our wedding was absolutely perfect! The ceremony was outside in their gorgeous garden gazebo area, and it was beautiful! Our reception in the small carriage room was amazing! Every little detail was perfect! And the food was outstanding! The reception manager, Candice, was more than incredible. She went out of her way numerous times to make our day perfect! We could not ask for more!

Wow, talk about just sitting back and not having to worry about your big day! Candice took care of everything. The place was gorgeous, and we even used the gazeboo outside for the ceremony. The food was outstanding, and I have never had good food at a wedding, let alone a great steak. We had our reception in the carriage room which has this huge antique old bar, it was just beautiful. We got constant comments about the whole place throughout the reception and still hear them, almost a year later. What a wonderful place to have your wedding, and wonderful people to host it for you. They really made our day magical!

We had our ceremony and rception here. We had an outside ceremony, very beautiful. We had our reception in the carriage room, also very nice. Candice was sooo helpful. It truley was a beautiful day.

My husband and I were married here on the 16th! Everyone at the facility was so incredibly nice and flexible; always ready to answer questions and provide help to guide us through the day.
After reading some other reviews, I would recommend that you just listen and read the contract before you book. We knew that we would be on our own for the rehearsal the night before and that we would have to come up with a plan B if it rained. We too were having our ceremony in the gazebo area. All of this was discussed a year prior to the wedding when we booked it and also at the meeting the week before.
Candice and Kelsey were such a help to us. We had some questions about our favors and concerns because at first we weren't close to meeting the requirement of guests we had rented the space for. But Candice gave me some suggestions for what to do and how to word some things and we wound up only being 4 people short! We loved that they took care of everything for us especially the setup. Everyone always talks about how stressful weddings are but they made it stress-free!
When we weren't too sure what to go, Candice was always guiding us to the next "event". She came and got us from our room so we could start the reception. She came in to say hello before the ceremony and made me feel so good and so calm, it was unbelievable. She also helped our ring bearer and flower girl get down the aisle.
All in all, this is a great facility! Our guests CANNOT stop raving about how gorgeous the gazebo area is even though it was 90 degrees during our ceremony. The food was also incredible (we had the buffet). Our cake was phenomenal in taste and appearance. The chefs new(er) appetizer, bacon wrapped pierogies, were the BIGGEST hit of the night. Everybody loved them and I had them as well; AMAZING! Our guests that stayed in the motel rooms loved the convenience. Although we could not stay the night in the honeymoon suite, it was a great place to get ready; well worth the extra money!

I absolutely LOVE Candice and the Barn House. They were so willing to work with us and so Cheerful! The event was flawless from having our ceremony outside to the reception in the big hall. It was a beautiful day! I highly recommend this for someone who doesn't want a "wedding coordinator" but wouldn't mind some advice to go a step in the right direction!

For our reception, after taxes, it was ~70 per plate and a minimum of 125 people. Our overnight suite was included, as was the cake, catering, food, table linens, cutting costs, ice sculpture, 5-hour reception/open bar (or could have had a 6-hour reception and 4-hour open bar), and the suite all day! Candice really helped us with everything!

Baby Shower for barn house village!

To plan our wedding, we were working with a very short timeline. Barb was able to offer us options for payment and willing to work around our hectic schedule. The catering staff were gracious and professional, and Barb was a helpful hostess the day of the event. The day of our wedding there was a snowstorm and we had to change our honeymoon travel plans. Barb was most accommodating and was able to offer us a suite to stay in for the night. We also received much positive feedback from guests about the quality of the food - the bacon-wrapped pierogies and Beef Wellington were guest favorites.

The Barnhouse Village was a very nice place very professional and the food was great the setup was great it was a perfect reception. I only wish for the taste testing of the food it could have been easier to do it. And the only other thing was when you try to get ahold of them was frustrating because you never knew when they were going to be there. overall it is a great place to have a reception. All the guests still say how they loved it. The wedding was outside in a gazebo and it was beautiful and enclosed with shrubbery making it private. Overall it was great.

Overall we had a great experience here and I would not have changed it for the world. My only issues were minor and mitigated prior to our ceremony. (1) problem that arose was that I had been communication with Candice regarding our entree selections however this was over looked, several weeks after my emailing our choices to her she claimed she was not aware of our picks, luckily I worked with a great planner that migrated this issue immediately and it was no problem further more. (2) they do not offer tastings as they are closed to the public so how they arrange around this is that as they prepare your selections for another event they have you pick them up on the date. This worked out fine for me as I work near by but I imagine that this would be fairly inconvenient in the event that this venue isn't in a close proximity to you on a regular basis. (3) they had our wedding cake packed up FAST! We didn't even get to have our cake before they had it packed up, we had to ask for it and were told initially "the topper will be available for you to take home". We actually had to ask for slices to enjoy then and there. It seemed strange that our cake was gone so fast and then we met some resistance when asking to have our cake back.

Those 2 small and negotiable issues NEVER stood between my choice and my day. Candice is a friendly, helpful, and kind person, ever willing to help and guide. She worked so well with us and my planner, I could not have been more pleased. The venue was PERFECT for us as we had several out of town guests who stayed RIGHT ON SIGHT.

Again, my overall opinion would be very, very positive. If you are working on a tight budget as we were and looking for something quaint and elegant, not flashy or extravagant, this is your place!

Overall a great experience and for the value... You won't be able to beat this place! My only complaint would be that while planning our event I was in communication with the coordinator there and yet she did not recognize that I had provided her with our entree selections. Almost a month went by and she never got back to me about tasting. Luckily my wedding planner got the situation mitigated and corrected.

The good:

Affordable

The bad
The ceremony felt rushed. Not sure if it was the coordinator or the DJ, but someone was rushing me and it kind of ruined that big moment for us. My groom wasn’t even looking when I was told to start walking down the aisle.

Watered down drinks. I wouldn’t know as I was too busy to drink, but guests complained that the drinks were weak. I paid for an open bar, drinks shouldn’t be weak.

There was some tension between Barb and my DJ. The disagreement was brought to my attention while I was getting ready for my wedding. I found both parties’ to be unprofessional in this moment. They’re both paid to handle these things, this isn’t something I should have had to deal with on my wedding day.

All in all I’m happy we booked with Barnhouse. We didn’t need to go into debt to pay for our wedding.

We booked a tour with this venue for noon. We arrived early but sat until 12:20 until Candice came out to greet us. She seemed rushed and the reason she was late was because she was on the phone which I thought to be pretty unprofessional. There was damage to the doors, walls and woodwork. The bar was filthy. There were finger prints all over the brass and the tops were sticky. The woman's room was gross. The door didn't open all the way and when this was brought up we were told it still meets code. When we brought up a handicapped female guest who may not be able to access this bathroom we were told to send her to the men's room or to the honeymoon suite which has a large step to get inside and we'd have to add this to the package for a handicapped guest to use. The outdoor ceremony gazebo, though beautiful in pictures, resides right next to dumpsters. The carpets were old and dirty. Not something I'd trust a white dress around. There's no wall or ceiling decorating allowed which really limits customizing your reception. When we went outside to view the rooms, we came back in to find Candice gone so we left. Definitely very disappointed. Did not meet the expectations that the photos set.

My family took my 90 year old Mother who is in a wheelchair for Easter Dinner, party of eight plus a toddler and had reservations for noon, got there 11:45 and the place is half empty. I go up to the lady at the front of the house and she tells me we have to wait to 12:00 to be seated! Repeat the place is half empty and my family and my wheelchair bound Mother are waiting for Cinderella to declare that clock struck 12! Strike 1, 2 and 3! One out. Finally get seated, soup is lukewarm, salad seen it's best days probably Friday and the bread was arguably the worst bread that I have ever had at at a restaurant! That's outs 2 and 3. To be fair the food was decent. Moral of this story....You only get One chance to make a first impression! I knew they lost this game at 11:46 sad!

I liked the look of the Barnhouse Village and the room we would be in for the reception. After we booked with them, they raised the prices on us. The day of the wedding, we find out that they won't give the guests shots. They never told us this to begin with. Even when we asked for a specific alcohol to be there. During the night, I heard from multiple people that the bartender had a bad attitude and that the drinks were being watered down or not being made properly. The bartender even told one of our guests that he would give him more alcohol if the Event Coordinator, Candice wasn't watching him. I paid A LOT for an open bar for my guests and I feel like I did not get my money's worth. Also, when dinner was being served a few guests heard one of the male servers complaining because some of the food got mixed up. That is completely unprofessional. The ceremony was great and went off without any problems and the food was excellent, but the service was not professional. Also, we had our rehearsal Friday night and Candice wasn't there and no one could answer our questions about what would happen if it rained and the ceremony would be moved inside. I thought it was a beautiful place, but I don't think I would go back there.

I’m sorry you feel that we did not uphold to your expectations. We’ve been in business 20 years and have hosted thousands of events over the years. We make it a priority to strive to create the best experience for all of our clients.

Our wedding pricing is not guaranteed upon booking; which is stated in our signed contracts. The specific liquor requested, was available that evening and was offered in the wedding open bar package to be served as a mixed drink. Shots are available, only on a cash bar basis, understandably, due to liability reasons. A ceremony rehearsal is offered as a complimentary event. We sincerely apologize for any confusion that may have occurred through the planning process.

We offer wonderful wedding packages at affordable prices. Our goal is to have everyone create beautiful memories and a great experience.
