  Amazing Experience

  This was a great experience. I went somewhere else that morning and it was terrible so I was nervous to come in. But she turned my whole day around and I had a great time.

  Best place in anchorage for wedding dresses!

  everything about bateau is amazing. the staff, the gowns, the atmosphere. was so incredibly pleased with their service and also their follow up. best place in anchorage for brides to go to find a wedding dress!

  Fabulous Experience - Beautiful Dress!

  I had scheduled an appointment at Bateau Bridal and they seemed eager and responded promptly to my inquiries. I ended up cancelling once I found out they were having a sample dress sale and am so glad I attended that! I ended up falling in love with the 3rd dress I tried on and was able to take it home that day. The women at Bateau Bridal are fabulous, I wanted to be friends with them :) would definitely recommend!

  Best in Anchorage

  Bateau is the ONLY of its kind here in Alaska! I moved here from Miami 6 years ago and when my husband and I got engaged I literally started looking at tickets to go down to california or seattle for the weekend to pick out the perfect wedding dress. I thought surely there were no places that carried the whimsical beauties and styles like BHLDN here in AK. Someone recommended I should check out bateau and though I was weary I went for it. It's a teeny little converted house in an area of town I don't usually go to ...and it's filled with MAGIC! They only take appointments so you have complete privacy to browse everything. The ladies are super helpful and their store is filled with gorgeous accessories as well. I ended up purchasing my wedding gown there, fur shawl and a gorgeous bridal headband. They had stunning bridal belts as well but I already had one for my special day. Would highly recommend any new brides to head to this place FIRST before trying any other salons in anchorage or the valley.

  In Alaska, there is no where else to find your gown! I was treated like royalty. I was not pressured to buy (although I did). I was able to be the only bride in the studio with two lovely ladies catering to my every desire in my gown. The studio itself is cute and well-maintained. The gowns are very well made and all perfect to every stitch.

  Best bridal boutique in Anchorage by far. I went to David's first, but do not waste your time there. Go straight to BBB. Tara makes you feel welcome and comfortable from the start and she has great advice. The quality of the gowns and accessories cannot be matched by David's bridal or anywhere else.

They genuinely care about finding the right dress for you - not just telling you how great you look in each one to make a sale.   Bateau Bridal is perfect for picking out your wedding dress. I went back 3 times and finally said yes to the dress!! She was so flexible with my work schedule and kept me informed on trunk shows. Since ordering my dress she has kept in touch informing me on every step of the process. I highly recommend Bateau Bridal to any future bride!

  They have gorgeous wedding dresses on stocks of all different styles and colors. I purchased a beautiful flowing white wedding dress that I am absolutely in love with. I highly recommend this Boutique to everyone!

  This was the best bridal boutique in Anchorage Alaska hands down. I had a lot of trouble with the other vendors in the area but this Boutique provided not only a relaxing and fun atmosphere but the most interesting, unique, and classic dresses I have seen.

  Terrible Experience

  I was very excited to go dress shopping and came in with an open mind. My experience was far from amazing at Bateau. From being told we cannot touch anything to being told to not even look at the dresses in a certain room because we couldn’t afford them. I asked multiple times to try on a certain dress and after the 5th time, the stylist let me try it on with a stern warning of “it’s definitely not in your size”. I was not allowed to try on sleeves that went with one dress because my arms “wouldn’t fit”. Everything was about budget too. Around 20 minutes before my appointment ended, it was a fight of trying to try on more dresses because the stylist was more concerned about the people coming in after me and the timeline.
  
  After leaving the store with nothing but tears in my eyes, my recommendation is if you do have to go to Bateau, make sure you are skinny and have a huge budget. What a waste of my time, energy, and self-confidence. Extremely disappointed but couldn’t give it 0 stars.
