Do it! And rent the jumbotron. The Presidential Suite was an awesome and impressive venue. Our quests were in awe of the view and beauty of the Baylor campus and surroundings. It was a 10!

Working with the Baylor Club for your special event will be the best decision you make! They were a pleasure to deal with right from the start and all the way to the finish. Evie Callaway was professional, responsive, and best of all, she genuinely seemed excited about our event! She worked hard to confirm all of the details to our specifications prior to the day of the event, and then on the day of, she and her team were there to accommodate every detail for us. She introduced us to the lead people who served and managed the food and beverage service for our event and made sure we were in good hands. During the actual event, the team communicated with us as needed, ensuring the timing of food service was exactly what we wanted. They were professional and friendly, and we could not have been happier. Their excellent service allowed us to actually enjoy the event we were hosting! Once the event was over, they helped us carry flowers and leftovers down to the car and even waved as we drove away. Working with Evie Callaway and the staff at the Baylor Club was a pleasure from start to finish.

When the Baylor Club first opened, I knew I had to have my wedding reception there! When we got engaged, it was the first place I looked, and it truly was everything I had envisioned and more. I loved how inclusive our package was and not having to find catering, bartending, and rentals on my own. Evie was my coordinator, and she was PHENOMENAL. She went above and beyond in making sure our reception was absolutely perfect. She worked with our budget, gave wonderful recommendations, accommodated my many changes along the way, and was professional and fun to work with the whole time. The food at the Baylor Club is so good and worth noting. A lot of times when they are included in a wedding package, "country club" food can be sub-par, but I loved the huge variety of options the Baylor Club provides. Our guests were all wowed by the space and the food, and we still get comments about it to this day! I highly recommend the Baylor Club for any wedding or event needs.

I'd decide what's most important to you. We loved the convenience of having our catering, event space, and setup all rolled into one. Our food was delicious and everything was beautiful, plus it was so special to have our reception at our alma mater, but it certainly wasn't the most budget-friendly option (there are definitely cheaper ways to do it if food is less of a priority or you have a lot of time to pull vendors together). The food is by far the most expensive, and there is a fairly high food and beverage minimum, so if you're having a small wedding, it definitely won't be worth the cost. Evie, our event coordinator, was absolutely wonderful to work with, and her team made our day run so smoothly! She (alongside our day-of coordinator) was a Godsend.

Added a lot of stress to our day

I would highly recommend NOT using the baylor club until they get a lot of the kinks worked out with their new management. We had a long string of negative experiences that I wish I would have known we were going to encounter. My family joined the baylor club specifically because we were hosting our rehearsal dinner there and they had been wanting to join so this was the perfect opportunity. Unfortunately we were not treated as members should be treated.
    1. Management of our event changed prior to our event happening. This lead to A LOT of communication breakdown. It was clear that the baylor club didn’t see us as a valued customer due to their lack of responsiveness and communication. The previous person in charge, did not disclose that there are fees for literally everything.
    2. We used the Presidential Suite for our rehearsal dinner. The fees that were not disclosed to us are as follows: $500 to move the furniture in the room, which you pretty much have to do if you have more than 50 people using the room, we were told we could use the TVs in the baylor club for free by Candice when we initially met with her and by Miranda when we booked it, but then were told it would be $100 to use the TVs and $500 to sync the TVs to play the same slideshow.
    3. We gave the Baylor club a detailed seating chart and there were an incorrect number of chairs at each table. When we notified them of the error they brought chairs over but didn’t bring food over for the places that they forgot to set and the groom had to go over to them and let them know that when you are missing a chair and an entire place setting you need to also bring the food, silverware, etc.
    4. The doors to enter the presidential suite were locked. The entire wedding party couldn’t even get into the venue when we arrived from our rehearsal.
    5. We met with Candice and asked her a laundry list of questions and she told us she would get back to use within the week with the answers. About a month went by and we never heard from her.
    6. We told them multiple times we wanted to do the hosted bar instead of the open bar and they consistently gave us the wrong invoice and tried to charge our credit card on file several hundred dollars more than what they were supposed to.
    7. Candice told us there would be signs outside pointed the guests to the presidential suite so that they would know where to go. There was not a single sign and no one knew how to find the presidential suite.

Overall, the venue is beautiful and that is why we chose it. We wanted a one-stop shop that set up, provided the food, and cleaned up after us. We thought this would be a home run but it was extremely lackluster for almost costing $6,000. Our guests loved the food and venue, but all of the errors added a ton of stress to our day. My fiancé and I threw the rehearsal dinner and we really wanted it to be amazing. I am sad to report that we were extremely disappointed and hope that this review saves a future bride and groom from the stress we encountered in all of this.

    Bridal shower and wedding photos

I am extremely disappointed in the level of service I received from Baylor Club. Let me first say that Rebecca was great to work with. She did a fantastic job with the bridal shower. My complaint is with the bridal portraits and those that work with her. I tried to book my photos on a date Rebecca said was open only to have the Operations Manager come back and say there is a potential un-confirmed birthday party on the field during the time the photos would be taken. He mentioned I could still get my photos done, but I would be sharing the field. You have got to be kidding me. What bride wants to share the field with strangers having a birthday party. I was willing and ready to pay to have my photos taken, but pushed to the side for an un-confirmed birthday party he tried for 2 weeks to get in touch with and confirm. I did not have my photos taken here because I couldn't deal with the service.

As stated before, they did great with the bridal shower, just dont expect to be a priority for Baylor Club no matter when you contact them.
