  It was such a wonderful experience shopping at Beautiful Brides. Rebecca was a wonderful consultant who helped me find the perfect dress, even though I didn't come in to the store with that vision. Check them out. Selections are unique and reasonably priced for the bridal market!

  Beautiful Brides and Formals did an amazing job helping me purchase my wedding dress! They are super friendly, attentive, and really listen to everything that you are looking for in a dress. Great prices!! I had a great experience with them and would recommend them to anyone that is searching for the perfect dress.   They were my first and only stop for trying on wedding dresses. They took my ideas and then provided dresses based on them. As I gave feedback, they were great about giving new suggestions and thinking on their feet.

  I live in Milwaukee and came to Madison just to visit friends. We ended up booking an appointment at Beautiful Brides so they could look at dresses with me. I WAS NOT expecting to find a gown, much less buy it that day! But from the moment I walked in to the store I felt so comfortable. We were warmly greeted and allowed to look through all their gowns (they have a lot!) I had been to several other shops around the Milwaukee area and hadn't found "the one". After trying on several, the woman who was dressing me asked if it was ok if she suggested a gown for me to try on. As soon as I put it on, my friends and I started to cry. It was a dress I would have never picked myself.
  
  The woman pulled out veils, headpieces, and jewelry (like I said earlier- I had been all over and NO store had anywhere near the selection of jewelry that Beautiful Brides has- they have a TON!) My friends (2 of which were bridesmaids) tried on gowns too and they found a maid gown they both loved.
  
  Needless to say, we ordered everything that day! Totally unexpected but pleasantly surprised! I even drove from Milwaukee to do alterations and so did my maids. Everyone was thrilled. When I came to pickup my gown the day before the wedding they packaged it up and carried it out to the car for me and helped me load it. I looooved my dress and can't believe that I would have never found it if the woman helping me (rebecca) hadn't suggested it. I would highly recommend this store.
  
  The only thing you might want to consider is- they are busy and if you don't have an appointment, it can be a wait for a fitting room. We saw them making appointments for brides who just walked in without one to come back another day if they didn't want to wait.

  Beautiful Brides were great to work with and had a great selection of bigger sizes. I couldn't have asked for better service and my dress was amazing and I never have seen anything like it. Highly recommend!

  I found my dress within 5 minutes after walking through their door...and as luck would have it, it was on sale! :) I had a great experience working with the staff at Beautiful Brides and would recommend it to anyone looking for a personalized, wedding-dress shopping experience!

  The ladies at Beautiful Brides made my dress shopping experience a success; I had left other shops in tears with a battered body image and depressed about my small budget. At Beautiful Brides, I found a gown that was $250 over my budget, and they were able to find me a dress I liked even better for $300 UNDER my budget! My whole expereince with them was seamless.

  I found my BEAUTIFUL dress here &I absolutely love it - however the experience I had at Beautiful Brides was less-than-ideal. To start, my mom & I went dress shopping (1st time looking at all) & BB was the last place we had gone that day. The prior places allowed photographs to be taken of the gowns & that was a WONDERFUL way for me to see/think about how the dress looked on me - but photos were not allowed until after the purchase at BB :(. They also have a $100 discount if you buy your dress on the first viewing - so I just felt very pressured to get it right away rather than being able to look at it/think it over like I would have liked. After purchasing my dress in December, I needed to pay a $100 express delivery fee for June delivery (September wedding). The sample size fit me perfectly, so I ordered my dress in the same size, Once my dress arrived, I went to try it on to see how it fit after 6 months of diet/exercise. When the attendant was zipping me up in it - the zipper broke & she & the owner told me that it was because I had gained an inch from my original sizing & that I would have to have it let out. I was devastated. I later thought about it & decided that it was not possible for this to be the case & went back again a different day. I explained what happened to the next attendant & she said we would try again - the dress easily zipped up & fit me perfectly. The dress had kind of a low back to it & she told me that she thinks the prior attendant had tried to zip it up too high (waist size < rib cage size) & that probably broke the zipper/didn't fit. She apologized for my experience & was wonderful - but the owner & prior attendant made me feel like it was my fault & that I had ~2 months to either lose an inch or PAY LOTS to have the very detailed bodice of the dress altered.
  
  Again, the dress itself was absolutely beautiful, but the experience at the store was way more stressful than any bride should have to deal with.

  I bought my wedding dress from Beautiful Brides. I loved my dress and it was within my budget so ultimately I was really happy with the result. But I should note that overall I felt their staff tried to hard to up-sell me while I was there. I know it's to be expected but it was a bit much since I knew exactly what I wanted. They also were not clear about how long it would take for my dress to arrive. I paid express shipping to have my dress arrive in "late April/early May" according to the sales woman. It was very stressful when my dress did not arrive until July about a month before my wedding. I had to call several times since they were not very responsive and I was also planning my wedding from out-of-state so this mess up added a lot of unnecessary stress.

  They were more interested in selling overpriced accessories. The tiara and necklaces could be purchased on E-bay for 10% of what they were selling them for. Very pushy sales people.

After everything was said and done, I brought it back to the shop to have it sent out to be cleaned and whatnot. It had been approx. 5 months and I hadn't heard anything, and since we were in town, my husband and I decided to check on it. I waited 45 minutes to ask if my dress had been cleaned. The staff looked at me and never even acknowledged me!! Overall, I think I would have looked elsewhere.
