As someone that doesn't typically wear makeup or do their hair on a daily basis, I figured this would be one of the more stressful parts of wedding planning. However from the very beginning, Thao was above and beyond, the opposite of stressful. She was incredibly responsive and professional. She nailed the minimal coverage look I wanted and perfected what I had in mind and felt comfortable with. Her and her team made my wedding day smooth and were also so fun to chat with in the hours that we had with them. For the wedding day, I had hair & makeup scheduled for myself and 6 other bridesmaids and we got done ahead of schedule! Couldn't have asked for a better hair & makeup team. Thanks Thao! -

Thao is amazing! I booked her for bridal make-up and hair, and, last minute, my mom's make-up as well. I had so many compliments from friends and family about how my make-up and hair looked absolutely stunning on the day of the wedding! Most importantly, I felt gorgeous! My mom, who never wears make-up, was truly feeling herself that whole day. I've never seen her look so confident and glam.
Thao is responsive and organized. The booking process was easy. I found her on Instagram and quickly DM'ed her. We did a trail session first (at an additional cost but worth it!) and it was SO helpful in pinning down the look I wanted for the day-of. I wanted a dark sultry make-up look to match my "dark & moody" wedding theme, along with hollywood curls - basically I wanted to look like a vampire. Thao showed up early on the day-of, was prepared, worked diligently with detail and care, and has such a personable, sweet, and calming presence. She gave my mom and I extra lip color for touch-ups later, as well as blotting oil sheets.
I've worked with other MUAs before and have never received service this great! The quality of Thao's make-up and work also lasted the entire day/night. I would HIGHLY recommend her and will be utilizing her services again. Thanks, Thao! -

Thao did my hair and makeup for my September wedding and I can't sing enough praise for her! I emailed her last minute due to a late notice cancellation from my original artist and Thao was so helpful and responsive and made the booking process so seamless. She put together the contract, built the full timeline, and even asked for inspiration pictures for each of the girls (which she referenced the day-of), all within a 48-hour period.
I asked for a soft glam look for my makeup and a half updo with curls and she delivered!! Since we weren't able to do a trial session together, Thao made sure to check in with me throughout the session to make sure we were going in the right direction for the look I was envisioning. I loved the final look and felt great!
We had a total of 11 services between the bridesmaids, MOH/G, and the bride (myself). Thao made sure to show up early on the day-of and set up quickly to get to work. Even though it was my first time meeting her, she felt so familiar and was so personable with everyone of us! Her calm presence was so welcome on such a high energy day. AND she finished early! I was fully prepared to be late since you always hear about the morning prep time running over but she was done nearly an hour early with everyone pleased with their looks and we didn't feel rushed at all through the whole process.
A huge plus was she was able to communicate with my Vietnamese speaking mom which also made her more comfortable. She gave my mom and I extra lip color for touch-ups later, as well as blotting oil sheets.
Working with Thao was an absolute pleasure and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a HMUA! I can't thank you enough for your professionalism and quality on such an important day. Thank you for making my special day even more memorable! -

Thao and her team did a great job with the hair and makeup for me and my bridal party! Since I live out of state I was not able to do a trial and I was really nervous but Thao did an excellent job. She was very easy to communicate with leading up to the event and her and her team were fun and easy to talk to on the day of the wedding. She really listened to what I wanted and kept checking in with me to make sure that I was happy with the final look. My husband kept telling me how much he liked my makeup throughout the evening! I am so happy I had Thao as my wedding hair and makeup artist. She was very responsive when I first reached out to her and she has been responsive throughout my time working with her. I first did a trial and shared samples of what I liked and she did my hair and makeup exactly as I had envisioned. I appreciated that she was super flexible when I had to reschedule my engagement shoot. Leading up to our wedding day, Thao checked in with me and made sure I knew the timeline of getting ready for my bridesmaids and I. On the wedding day, I felt absolutely beautiful. The makeup stayed on all night and I received so many compliments on it. For someone that doesn't usually wear much makeup, I was nervous about wearing heavy makeup but Thao made it feel very light and natural. The biggest plus is that she is so kind, easy to talk to, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a hair and makeup artist! -

I couldn't be happier with choosing Thao for my wedding! Despite the scorching 100+ degree weather, my (and my 5 bridesmaids) hair and makeup remained flawless throughout the entire day. Her skills and products truly withstood the test, and I felt stunning from the first photo to the last dance.

Thao did my hair and makeup to perfection for my wedding, and I felt like the most beautiful bride on this day!
Doing my makeup and hair with Thao was like catching up with a friend. She made me feel so comfortable and created a glowy glam look, while still making me feel like myself. As someone who doesn't wear makeup often, I really appreciated this and was absolutely in love with my look.
Thao is friendly, attentive to detail, responsive, and THE makeup artist that I would recommend to all brides!! -

Bay Area Hair and Make Up Artist!
Got married this past June! Choosing Thao to be my HMUA was one of my best decisions~ I don't wear make up regularly and was really indecisive. I kind of knew what I wanted but at the same time I was unsure, but open. Day-of I was super anxious and I'm sure I was being a little difficult, haha! 😅 Thao was super patient, understanding, and easy going. I really appreciated her input and help in navigating my back and forth uncertainty. Communication was easy and prompt. Doing the bridal trial was helpful and allowed for notes and feedback leading up to the big day~
One thing I really wanted was to transition my hair from ceremony to reception, and Thao delivered!! Cute textured top half with a romantic bun that my matron was able to undo easily for reception. We just touched up the curls a little. I received so many compliments that night on my hair and make up. All my bridesmaids had their hair and make up done by Thao and her assistant that day, Linh. They all looked amazing and well put together from start to finish~

Loved working with Thao and her team!
I got married on 5/6/2023 and working with Thao was the easiest part during my wedding planning. From the first email I had sent and leading up to my wedding day, she was quick to respond and helped ease any anxiety I had! She was able to work with my timeline, and stayed with it!
I told her I wanted to still look like myself on my wedding, but more put together and she listened! I loved my hair and makeup. My makeup stayed on for the whole night, even when my dad smushed my face while hugging me at the end of the aisle. My hair also held onto the curls, which is a miracle because my hair will straighten out within a few hours. It was also sprinkling during my wedding while taking photos outside, but everything still held up! My husband also loved how everything turned out.
Her team also did wonderful jobs on my bridesmaids and was able to do all the different hairstyles requested. Both her and the team were so easy to talk to, it felt like a bunch of friends just hanging out.
I would highly recommend going with Thao and her team. You won't regret it :).

I cannot recommend Thao enough for hair and makeup glam needs! Thao did my hair for my wedding, and she and Michelle helped get my wedding crew ready for the big day. I have naturally curly hair and wanted to wear it as such for the wedding so I booked a trial with Thao to figure out how to style it ahead of the day. I ended up changing my mind last minute and she fabulously pivoted to my idea. Throughout the entire process Thao was incredibly communicative, helpful, and friendly. It was lovely to have her and Michelle as part of our getting ready crew before the wedding. I was wanting softer glam makeup and hairstyles that everyone was comfortable with that would also last; Thao and Michelle absolutely knocked it out of the park. Everyone looked beautiful and, more importantly, felt beautiful all day and night long. Thank you Thao and team! -

I honestly cannot thank Thao enough for making me look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day in January.
I found Thao on Yelp and was impressed by all of the glowing reviews and the photos of her work which, when it comes to hair and makeup, speaks volumes. I reached out to Thao and she was so responsive and made the booking process so easy. Without a bridal party, I opted to just get hair and makeup for myself and my mom.
About a month before the wedding, I booked a trial run for hair and makeup and was able to head to her home in San Jose to do so. She was so friendly and real, and made sure that I was comfortable with everything every step of the way (from deciding what size false lashes to use, to the color of my lipstick, etc.).
On the day of my wedding, she came to my apartment and worked so quickly that we were done a good half hour before I thought we'd be done. She was also so accommodating when I changed my mind from an updo to half-up and half down. Even though we didn't do a trial of that style, Thao absolutely nailed it from just a couple of source photos.
Through many tears of joy, the rain that was pouring down, lots of eating and drinking, and hours of dancing, my makeup and hair stayed intact. She also prepped a small bag of blotting tissues and lipstick, but I didn't find myself needing anything else.
I can't recommend Thao enough to other brides looking for hair and makeup! -

She made me feel so gorgeous on my wedding day and was so easy to work with. She was communicative, fair in her pricing, and took any changes/feedback I gave (which wasn't a lot). I loved that she had experience with multiple facial/skin types too. 10/10 you should book Thao for your wedding hair and makeup! -

I'm so grateful that I was able to find Thao to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I also did a trial with her beforehand. Communicating with her was easy, and she was extremely responsive through the whole process. My hair and makeup held up great both times, and she was able to change my hair on the day of my wedding using feedback from the trial. I also had a pretty bad breakout on my face, and she reassured me that she would be able to conceal it no problem. She did a wonderful job making it disappear with her skills, and I didn't even think about it during the day. She also did makeup and hair for my sister and mom, and they were both super happy with their looks. I highly recommend Thao to any bride looking for an amazing HMU artist for their wedding! -

Thao did an amazing job with hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I on my wedding day! She was easy to get in touch with and arrived right on time at the venue. She also was super easy to talk to and helped us figure out what would look best on each of us (and was flexible about us changing our minds). I was thrilled with how my hair and makeup turned out and it held up well throughout the whole day even though we got ready pretty early. Highly recommend :)
