WOW - I'm so glad my wedding planner introduced us to him during our search for a live musician to play at our wedding. Ben Hoyt was the violinist at our recent wedding at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.
Ben was an absolute pleasure to work with! My wedding planner had encountered him before at other weddings and she had nothing but positive things to say about him, so we were really excited to meet with him virtually a few weeks before our wedding day. He walked us through all the different songs he could play on his violin, which was a huge range of genres from hip hop to classic oldies. He was also willing to experiment and play new violin renditions of songs if they weren't on his playlist. We ended up choosing a bunch of our favorite songs from his list and requesting a few of our other favorites, mostly EDM, and he delivered! He was super kind and accommodating towards us the entire time.
He played the entire time during our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour and our guests LOVED him. He performed with lots of energy and his talent really shows through his music. As the bride, I was busy running around, but I wish that I had more time to listen to him play LOL - I definitely missed out!
Overall, would highly recommend Ben Hoyt if you're looking for a live musician for your wedding (or honestly, any event!) because he did an amazing job at our wedding. -

Ben is a one-man, one-stop-shop for incredible music and entertainment. I was recently at a wedding where we was the only musician and source of music for the entire evening and he had everyone smiling, bopping and swooning. He plays a wide range of songs and caters the playlist to your preferences. When he busted out his rendition of the Game of Thrones theme, everyone had their phones out recording! Ben is super talented, extremely professional, and so SO nice. I highly recommend him-- no matter your event he is sure to be a highlight for your guests. -

Amazing and would definitely recommend!
Ben was AMAZING not only to work with but as a performer! We were blessed to have our coordinator Meredith (Goodfriend and Co. Events) introduce my now husband and I to Ben. We knew we wanted to add something extra for our guest and who doesn’t love live music?! After meeting with Ben and discussing our vision he made sure to listen to what we were looking for and he nailed it. Our guest loved the surprise as he played for them while they entered the ceremony and mingled till it was time for them to find their seats, we then had him “jam” on top of our DJ during cocktail hour. All our guest thought it was such a cool element and the multiple ways Ben played the violin blew them away. 10000/10 would recommend Ben for any wedding or event you have! -

We were looking to add a violinist to our worship services, and when I asked a friend, she referred me to Ben after having hired him for a party. Then…we fell in love with him, as a person, as a musician, as someone who knows exactly how to evoke emotion with his playing. Since then we’ve hired him back every year, even if we have to fly him coast to coast. My wife and I also had him play at our wedding. He’s worth every penny, and we are blessed to witness his talents and to have his friendship. Do not look any further. Hire Ben and let joy fill your event. -

We were lucky enough to have Ben play for both our ceremony as well as our reception. Wedding planning is extremely stressful and there's always things that go wrong, Ben was far from being one of them. From the very first moment we asked him to play for our wedding until the moment his part was over, he made it so easy, flexible, and was an absolute joy to work with. He not only showed professionalism with his beautiful music but was also very considerate to us and our guests. Everyone was so pleased with his performances and were so happy to have such a fun loving talent at our wedding. We would recommend him to anyone, especially to all those stressed out brides, he will come through for you and will without a doubt add to your special day! -

We had the honor of having Ben play for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in 2021! He was so easy and flexible to work with and understood our vision. He did such an incredible job playing all of the different genres of music we requested (even Bollywood). He also blew us away by doing such an amazing job collaborating with our DJ and dhol player! We still have guests who compliment us about Ben and his incredible talent! We highly recommend Ben as he will bring such a beautiful touch to any event! -

The first time I saw Ben perform it seemed to me as if all of the air had been sucked out of the room. I was at my husband’s friend’s Indian wedding ceremony, and I was so moved and transported by Ben’s ability to coax such beautiful notes out of his violin. I was in awe— and I say this as someone who has worked in the music industry and is not easily ‘wowed.’ Prior to witnessing Ben’s performance, it had never occurred to me that a violinist could faithfully perform an elaborate Hindi ballad solo— let alone to do so with such prowess in front of a large audience. My husband, who was my fiancé at the time, felt the same way. He had the good foresight to ask for Ben’s card, as we were planning our own wedding at the time and we both knew that we HAD to have him play at our ceremony. I’m happy to say that Ben’s performance of one of my grandmother’s favorite songs brought tears to our eyes when I walked down the aisle. Ben is a consummate professional— talented, yes, but also relaxed, accommodating, full of ideas, and open to any and all suggestions. Having him at our wedding was a joy. He was so easy to work with! We asked him to perform during an outdoor ceremony and inside during our cocktail hour, and he had all of the equipment he needed to make the music perfect (he set it up himself without needing much more than an outlet from the venue). I strongly recommend working with him in any capacity— book him before he gets booked up! -

Ben is a tremendously talented violinist. I first saw him play while working an event and was immediately impressed by his abilities. On a whim, we asked if he would play at our wedding and were delighted when he said "yes"! He worked with us to curate our song list, even learning a few new songs for the occasion. He made our ceremony and cocktail hour a wonderful and memorable experience for us and our guests. Thank you, Ben!!
