The Best Day Ever Officiant was amazing!! John made our day so special. The ceremony was so personal and intimate. He took the time to get to know us before our wedding day and really listened to all we had to say and used that info to make our ceremony incredibly personal. I'm a wedding photographer, and I've been to a LOT of weddings in the past decade, but John is among the very best officiants. We eloped, and he was the perfect choice to make our day awesome. He even arrived early to scope the area out and found the best spot for us. He cares not just for the wedding day, but genuinely invests in his clients. We clicked with him the first time we met over the phone, and really feel like he fit right into our day perfectly. We didn't just get an officiant. We got a friend. If you haven't booked him yet, do it now! You won't regret it. -

Truly best day ever
John is everything one would ever want in an officiant. He is very professional and personable. Took the time to get to know us as a couple and learned our background to orchestra a beautiful story or our lives. He is very flexible and receptive to request as well as offered wonderful suggestions. We have received many compliments on his speech from our guest. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiate for their wedding. -

Wedding Day
John Candler officiated our wedding on June 18th, 2024 in Olympic National Park, WA. Our experience with him has been nothing less than outstanding. He got to know us as a couple, shared in our happiness, and crafted a personalized ceremony that fit both bride and groom. Our ceremony was light-hearted, funny and made our guests chuckle a few times. Everything went as great as it could have. Our names were pronounced correctly (and our dogs names were right too)! He included the elements of faith that we requested but was open to other versions depending on our values as a couple. Personable, friendly, and calming in the midst of hectic wedding planning. -

Wow! John's your new friend you haven't met yet! John was so helpful and efficient from the moment we sent him an enquiry. John was not only quick to respond to emails and phone calls, but also so friendly and easy to get along with. My husband and I eloped with only John, a photographer, and a videographer, so it was really important that we had an awesome team supporting us for our big day. John was really flexible with organising phone calls (we were living on the other side of the world with a huge time difference). We were married on a trail at Mount Rainier, and despite the snow, John was there with a huge smile on his face! John wrote a beautiful ceremony script, and when we were feeling a little stuck where to start with our personal vows, he facetimed us straight away and provided us some warm and friendly advice. We consider John a great friend of ours, and it's felt like that since the first call! Highly recommend :) -

John was stellar throughout the entire process. He knows exactly the questions to ask during the first meeting to create a wonderful script for your ceremony. He was communicative, personable, and easy to get ahold of at all times. He did everything he said he would do promptly.
On the wedding day, John showed up exactly when he said he would. He took care of everything in his realm without issue which made our day so much easier for us.
The ceremony went off without a hitch and we had many guests compliment how great of a job he did. John was super quick to send in the license and communicate the details to us.
Highly recommend John to anyone needing an officiant! -

John Candler was more than just an AMAZING officiant for our wedding- he made our special day even more special and memorable. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and crafted a ceremony that perfectly captured our love story. We were unsure of what vows we wanted and he was able to give us 8 options right off the bat! Vows were actually something we were stressing about, so just being able to guide us through how to craft the ceremony was incredible. He was an absolute professional! On the big day, he delivered the ceremony flawlessly, keeping the mood light and joyful. John was an invaluable person to work with, and we couldn't have asked for a better officiant for our ceremony. After the ceremony, John helped us with our marriage license and made the entire process run so smooth and efficiently. We would recommend him to anyone getting married in the PNW. -

My husband and I were so thankful that John was recommended to us!
We were able to tell him our story, as crazy as it was, and he heard it beautifully into our ceremony. We use his recommendation of a location, and it couldn't have been better for what we were looking for. Meeting him on our wedding day was as casual and comfortable as we could have hoped for! Absolutely amazing
John was absolutely amazing and so professional yet friendly! I would chose him A MILLION times again for my wedding, he made everything so easy and stress free. He was very respectful and got to know me and my husbands story to make everything perfect and personal. Travis and I had such an awesome experience with John as our officiant. He wrote out a very thoughtful, personal & well written ceremony script that incorporates everything we were hoping for! He made sure our ceremony was perfect, directed guests where to go afterwards & made the whole marriage license process so easy! Nothing but amazing things to say about John- we really did have the best day ever!!! John officiated my friend’s wedding a few years before ours and when it came time to plan ours, I was still thinking about how great her ceremony was and she highly recommended him. John was a joy to work with every step of the way. From the first Zoom call getting to know us, giving us vow options (we wanted a play on traditional vows), helping us craft a ceremony script (that made me cry happy tears every time I read through it), to the wedding day! Fun and Professional Wedding Officiant
John was amazing to work with starting on day one! He really helped my wife and I navigate and plan our ceremony while also listening to all of our wants and ideas. Additionally, John was always so quick to respond and jump on a call if needed which is such a valuable thing while trying tot plan a wedding. After our ceremony, many of our family and friends even asked who our officiant was due to him doing such a great job! Finally, I would highly recommend John to anyone who is looking for a fun yet professional officiant. -

John was the absolute best officiant. We had an initial call where he asked us all about our relationship, engagement, etc. and it really felt like he was listening to us. We loved that he was so into music and “nerdy stuff” - we felt like we could relate to him. He then sent us an outline of the script and, closer to the big day, the script itself. The ceremony went perfectly, and his script was really amazing - he really captured our relationship and us as a couple. All of our guests raved about how great he was afterwards. He was so kind, thoughtful, and most importantly, organized! He took care of mailing in our paperwork and we received our marriage certificate really quickly in the mail. Seriously, if you’re thinking of hiring John, just DO IT! -

Spectacular officiant
He made our ceremony so perfectly catered to us as a couple and our story. We loved the little last minute details he put in there after finding out we were pregnant. Little touches like that went a long way. Not only was the ceremonial script perfect but John was very flexible with us with some last minute changes and has such a great personality to boot. We couldn’t have picked a better officiant for us. -

I highly recommend working with John from Best Day Ever! From our first time meeting John he was friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly engaged in learning about our relationship and what we wanted from our ceremony. Leading up to the event he was very responsive and helped to craft the structure of the ceremony, while also giving us the flexibility to change anything we wanted. John, The best officiant ever made our best day ever! We flew all the way from NY to Washington for our dream wedding and he was constantly in communication via email and video chat to get to know us over the course of a year!
John made sure to make our special day feel so US! The way he asked our love story and little details about our relationship made the ceremony so special.

John was such an amazingly caring and attentive officiant. I am from Washington but my husband and I currently live in Colorado. John was so patient with us and scheduled online meetings with us to get our ceremony planned out. Despite being no stranger to the issues that can occur when logistics aren’t planned face to face, meeting up with John on our wedding day was so easy and everything went so smoothly. He also did a wonderful job making sure our paperwork was in order and he was extraordinarily responsive to questions the entire process. Our families also hail from two different religious backgrounds, Orthodox and Lutheran, and John did a great job making sure our ceremony suited both sides of the family and our combined backgrounds. I would definitely recommend John as a wonderful officiant to those looking to get married! -
