  Absolutely Amazing!!

  Bettersweet bakery was amazing to work with! They were very helpful in answering all of our questions, and easy to work with. The variety of flavors for their cupcakes were very delicious. Throughout the course of our reception (Jeffrey and Molly), our parents were constantly being asked where the cupcakes came from. Everyone loved them, especially the chocolate and raspberry flavors. Jen and Curt Stephanie at Bettersweet Bakery nailed it out of the park, and we would highly recommend them to anyone!

  Jen was awesome to work with! She created a great design for our cutting cake & cupcake display! More important than how besutiful everything was....the cakes were SO DELICIOUS! We had so many compliments on the cake! There were only 2 cupcakes left at the end of the night!

We came to her with our wedding invitation and explained the overall theme we were hoping for and she did the rest. We had a two tiered cake and mini cupcakes; the arrangement was perfect! We would not change a thing and we would recommend Bettersweet Bakery, in a heartbeat, to anyone who needs a cake!

  Jen was fantastic to work with, and the cake for our wedding was both delicious and beautiful! We had so many compliments on our cake. The consultation was very thorough, the cake tasting was amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. We had a terrific experience with Bettersweet Bakery. We would definitely recommend their services!

  When I first met with Jen, I had no idea what I wanted. I came to her with almost nothing but she managed to draw up the most beautiful cake I had ever seen that was everything I had ever imagined. I don't know how she did it but it was beautiful and delicious! Jen was responsive, polite, and so creative. All our guests loved the cake and the design perfectly matched our decor and our personalities, it was so beautiful, it was painful to have to cut it! Jen did an amazing job and I don't think I could ever buy another cake from anyone else!

  Jennifer at Bettersweet is amazing. The flavors and the taste of the cake were moist, exquisite, and I received many complements on "Where did you get the cake?" It tastes delicious! She took time from her busy schedule, which she works out of her home, with the help of her hubby (Kudos!) (That to me is amazing), She made suggestions on cake toppers, flavors and took my idea of a wedding cake and perfected it. Thanks Bettersweet!!

  Jen makes the best cake in the Midwest! She has turned my cake hating husband into a man who craves her cakes! We just got married in July and already have plans for our next cake in September! The quality is unsurpassable!

  The overall experience (pricing options, taste, presentation, etc) was very positive. We went non-traditional -- having mini cupcakes and mini pies at each table vs. the traditional wedding cake. We did have a small wedding cake for the two of us to cut.
  
  They really broke down the pricing so it was simple to follow and showed you the value of what you were paying for - I really appreciated that!!
  
  The quality, taste and presentation of our desserts was amazing -- our guests were talking about the desserts at the table days after the wedding. We were also very happy with our personal-sized cake -- the taste was above and beyond the typical wedding cake.
  
  The only issue we ran into was on communication - not sure if it just my type A personality, but I really value communication. I felt the responsiveness was lacking compared to other vendors we worked with. There were some technical issues (e-mails not going through), but even with that in mind, I think there is room for improvement.

  The cake tasted amazing but the experience was very stressful

  Jen is the owner of the bakery. It is a smaller operation out of her home. At the beginning she was very responsive and professional, but as time went on she became extremely hard to get a hold of. For example, we were 10 days out from our wedding and had yet to receive a final bill. It was stated in our contract that I needed to pay her 14 prior to the wedding. I emailed her a minimum of 6 times as well as called and left 3 messages at the bakery. I also posted on the bakery’s Facebook page. I finally heard back when I had a family member contact her husband. When she finally emailed me back (from her personal email) she said something was wrong with the bakery email account. I find that hard to believe because if that were true, why didn’t she just pick up the phone and call me. It cause a lot of stress, and my island and I were trying to figure out a backup bakery if she continued to be MIA. She did deliver and the cake was both beautiful and tasted amazing. However, I would not recommend her due to the poor communication I experienced. It is also 2 weeks out from the wedding and I have yet to here back from both an email and phone message I left her after the wedding.
