FH bought my engagement ring here. He was told they ordered my size, but that was obviously not the case. The shank had noticeably been stretched, and to add insult to injury, it was stretched off center and in a way that made the ring appear crooked and bent. They eventually agreed to fix it, and replaced the shank entirely. It’s fine now, but FH felt like they tried to pull one over on him.
Also, he was told that the diamond was VVS2 (it actually says so on his copy of the order form, so I know for a fact that he didn’t just mishear the salesperson). But, when it was taken to another jeweler for an insurance appraisal, we were told it is VS2. That’s a huge difference. Surprised and wanting to make sure, we took it to a third jeweler, not telling them we already had it appraised, and they too said it is VS2. At that point we disclosed that when we bought it, we were told it is VVS2. That third jeweler said it’s not even close to being of that quality, and that it’s most definitely VS2. It’s disappointing that we ended up with a ring of the same quality that we could have gotten from a national chain, and spent more than twice the amount than we would have had he gone to one of those chains. My advice? Pass on this place. Overpriced and not always the quality you expect when throwing down some serious cash.
