  Our Big Sur Wedding

  Our wedding at Big Sur Bakery was such a magical night. The location and details of the restaurant are something that cannot be replicated. Danielle contacted us via email through a WeddingWire inquiry and we set up a date shortly after for us to visit the venue. We have camped in the Big Sur area several times and always stopped at the bakery for a pastry of coffee, but never really explored the entire restaurant or property. After our visit with Danielle, we knew this was the perfect location for us - outdoors meaning minimal decoration because everything spoke for itself, delicious food (you must have the pizza and fried chicken - all our guests loved it!) and Danielle and the Bakery staff made our night a dream come true with their professionalism and friendliness. Danielle set up phone calls with me throughout the months before the big day to make sure we were always on the same page and I was always astonished at how organized she was. She was so detailed about our wedding, it felt like she was only working on our wedding, when in reality I know she was juggling many others.
  Also, our wedding was a destination wedding - we live in the San Franciso Bay Area - so having Daniella be so responsive and attentive to our wedding was so helpful. Our wedding would have not been possible without the amazing service and staff at Big Sur Bakery. Everything was perfection not only because of their own high standard but because they genuinely cared about us and our wedding guests on a level beyond customer service. We had the meaningful wedding we dreamt of. If you are looking for a venue along the coast - Big Sur Bakery is where boho hippie wedding dreams come true! You know you had a great wedding when the staff are enjoying themselves as well. We will remember this night forever. Thank you Danielle and thank you to the amazing staff who took care of us!

  Most Magical Venue!

  Big Sur Bakery was amazing, Danielle was my favorite vendor to work with. She was patient and understanding and extremely helpful! The food was amazing and the entire reception was seamless because of her. They were accommodating for my requests, and made planning a destination wedding (all the way from Atlanta, GA) as easy as possible.

  If you are looking for an intimate setting for a small wedding reception then Big Sur Bakery is the way to go. The staff was incredibly attentive to our needs. Mariah, the event coordinator, is organized and quick to respond to you via email. Her attention to detail was top notch. The Big Sur Bakery offers exceptionally good food. The patio is the perfect size for a small party. You feel like you are the only ones there. It was a perfect venue!

  After getting married on Pfeiffer Beach, we had our wedding reception at Big Sur Bakery. It was beyond wonderful. (This is going to sound a bit like an ad for Big Sur Bakery, but we had such a great experience that we can't stop singing their praises!) Everything was perfect, from the fantastic food and gorgeous view to the amazing staff. Mariah, who handles special events, was friendly, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Even though we booked our event more than a year in advance, Mariah was ready with answers to every single one of our questions, no matter how specific! On the day of, she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and it couldn't have gone better.
  
  We rented out the back patio, which apparently seats up to 60 people. We only had 25, so there was plenty of extra space for socializing, dancing, and enjoying the beautiful view. The patio is surrounded by a lovely garden, and has fabric shades and pretty café lights overhead. Very romantic! It was a little chilly out, but there were four large heat lamps to keep us warm. They've got speakers for an iPod hookup, too, should you need it.
  
  We chose the pizza & pasta menu, which was definitely the right choice. For dessert, we had cookies, cookie bars, assorted tarts, and cupcakes. Everything was delicious and our guests are still talking about how great the food was. (So good, in fact, that we went back for pizza the next day and wished we'd gone every day that week. We even bought the cookbook so we can have a little Big Sur Bakery at home.)
  
  If you're thinking about getting married in Big Sur, Big Sur Bakery is (as far as we're concerned) the only choice! Professional, friendly, beautiful, and amazingly delicious.

  When we began our order at Big Sur Bakery it was with a very incompetent woman. I felt like I was going in circles and in the end was very upset that our cake arrived on a silver stand because she failed to tell me the bakery needed the cake stand 48 hours ahead of time. Luckily they hired a new woman who picked up the slack and did her best to mend the situation. The cake turned out beautiful and delicious. The only sad part was the silver stand that took away from the beautiful stand I bought.

  Rude and Unprofessional

  The woman who works here is so rude. She would not let us bring in our own champagne from outside even though we already paid the fees. The venue is only okay. This is my first wedding but my husband said at his first wedding the venue let him bring in whatever champagne he wanted to, as long as he paid the fees. They also would not let my stepdaughter pose with the cakes which I thought was rude.
