10 out of 5 stars! I am so grateful to have met Bill Calhoun at a mutual wedding we both worked at previously; I knew I had to hire him for my daughter's wedding on October 12th, 2023. There isn’t a single thing I would have had Bill do differently for our family's celebration. All of our guests continue to provide rave reviews and tell us our wedding reception was the best they’ve ever been to! Bill played a huge role in making my daughter's wedding the perfect celebration as the MC and by curating a playlist that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night, including some of our older relatives that haven’t been on a dance floor in decades. It was clear from my first time meeting Bill that he has a passion for his craft. Throughout the entire process he was very professional and provided a lot of useful feedback on details we didn’t even consider. We didn’t have very many specifics regarding the reception music, so we just gave him some loose guidelines and a lot of flexibility. He blew away our expectations! He played some of the best music from the late 50’s through today. My daughter is more a fan of rock music, which a lot of people don’t always appreciate, but Bill was able to find a lot of the high energy rock songs that brought a lot of people out onto the dance floor. Throughout the entire evening we had guests coming up to tell us how awesome the music was and how much fun they were having. A lot of guests are telling us a week after the wedding that they were still recovering because they couldn’t remember the last time they danced that much in a single night. If the party didn’t have to end at 10pm, I think everyone could have easily gone another hour or two. Bill truly made our night unforgettable and I cannot emphasize how polite, nice and accommodating he is. He made us feel SO comfortable and confident that we were going to have the best night of our life and we sure did! Awesome DJ, Great to Work WIth
Bill was a perfect DJ! He had a great mix of music and got everyone up on the dance floor all night. Really easy to select the songs we specifically wanted and he had a great sense from those of the vibe we were going for. Awesome energy, super easy to work with, generally an A+ experience! -

Bill was so great as our DJ/MC at our wedding! He was so easy to work with and made sure everything I envisioned was executed. He worked with me closely on every detail to make sure the ceremony music was exactly right and was great getting everyone on the dance floor. His work definitely added the happy vibe/atmosphere of the night. Very experienced and professional. Would highly recommend hiring Bill as your DJ for your special events! -

We had an amazing night celebrating our wedding in Marina Village last weekend and Bill was instrumental in ensuring that the night went smoothly. As the master of ceremonies, he kept our guests informed and everything moving along without sacrificing the fun vibes. Bill made sure to play all the songs we had requested and mixed in his own choices based on people's reactions to keep the dance floor going. Bill DJ’d our wedding at The Thursday Club and did an incredible job. He has a great radio voice, did great with the announcements, and adjusting music to the mood. When we were searching for our wedding DJ, I knew we were going with Bill after the first phone call! He was so easy to work with, had a great energy and showed true interest in my husband and I and our story. He made it super easy to pick our favorite songs for the reception and the special songs that we used throughout the day/night, and he even did a dedication to my mom who had passed a couple of months before the wedding. Bill is THE MAN! He was was so amazing to work with and was a huge part in making our day as fun as it was. He was so great prior to the day, getting every detail just right and even helping us by putting our vision together into the most amazing grand entrance! We got married during COVID. We had to scale our wedding down form 150 people to only 18 people. We couldn’t use our originally planned venue... We had to get married outdoors at our home. You get the picture, plans changed drastically from everything we had originally planned to do. Bill was flexible and incredibly accommodating. He made everything work with no fuss on our part and he worked well with our other vendors who also were under a lot of pressure to “make it work”. Despite the fact that we had a small wedding, we still wanted it to be a nice affair. Bill had very tasteful music selections that added to our ambiance and really set the right tone for our reception dinner. He also picked tunes that kept the evening lively despite the COVID restrictions. Truth: I am divorced, so this was my second wedding. I can tell you from experience he is incredibly reasonably priced. I wasn’t necessarily bargain hunting when I found him. I learned from my past wedding experience that if you want to avoid your wedding reception being reduced to a rodeo auction or a cheesy scene from the dating game it is important to have a decent DJ, that generally entails a hefty price tag... I was told by other vendors he is the best and easy to work with. I assumed a certain price tag would be associated with such rave reviews, but Bill is priced exceptionally low considering his services and skills. Go with Bill and you won’t be disappointed. We asked Bill to DJ our Feb 2020 wedding and so glad we did! From start to finish, Bill was incredibly professional. His years of experience in the wedding industry was obvious from our first interactions with him. He went above and beyond and even helped us figure out our ceremony space set up (relevant to where he'd be). He creates clear guidelines for when and how to communicate ceremony, cocktail, and reception music in a user-friendly and organized manner. He played everything from our "required" list and navigated the evening well. We are grateful to Bill for being an awesome vendor! -

We had done a search in San Diego and was referred to Bill by our wedding planner. When we met Bill, he was keen on understanding the vibe we wanted to set with the music for our wedding. In doing so, the music at our wedding was perfect thanks to Bill. It set all the right moods at the right time. We'd highly recommend Bill as is the the BEST DJ.
