I contacted Lu through WeddingWire and she got back to me right away. I was able to send a picture of the cake I wanted, which is exactly how it turned out. We did a two tier naked cake (no outer fondant) with honey flavored cake and guava filling. She did a light covering of cream cheese frosting over there whole thing to give it a finished look. At the last minute I asked for sugar flowers, which turned out amazing. The cake was delicious, and a perfect size for the amount of guests I had. Even though I was arranging my wedding from 1,600 miles away (and in another language), it worked out perfectly. I highly recommend choosing Lu for your cake.

This lady is awesome! She make the most beautiful and delicious cake in the world. Was perfect! We contact her from Canada , she send us a cake tasting through the postal service, it was fresh an delicious, the same flavor on the wedding day. Her amaretto cake is the best ever cake that I taste. Highly Recommended!

We decided last minute to have a wedding cake at our reception. We contacted Lu just a couple weeks out from the wedding. We wanted just a simple, one tier, square cake. She more than met our expectations. It was beautiful as well as delicious. I even ate 2 slices!! I can't wait til our one year anniversary to eat some more!

Lu was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was so sweet and so helpful during the design process. She also worked with my budget. I met her on my one trip to San Juan in May. Her cake, frosting and fillings tasted EXQUISITE!!!!! I also met with one other baker whose work is well known but honestly the taste of Lu's cakes were just so rich and delicious!!! I HAD to choose her. There was no other choice!!! I provided with an image of what I wanted..simple and elegant!!! She created to perfection and even more!!! She was truly a delight. She was always very flexible.

My only con is that she NEEDS an assistant!! She is SO busy! There were some delays in communication but she was always gracious and it truly did not affect the end result!!

The cake looked exactly as we wanted it and tasted amazing. After the wedding all my guests were still talking about how good the cake was. She worked with our budget, which wqs definetely a plus. She was so great she's making my husband's 30th birthday cake also!

AMAZING!! I chose Bizcochos by Lu because of her past reviews and she absolutely delivered again! Our wedding cake was by far the most elegant and best tasting wedding cake(s) ever! Who knew that even fondant could look & taste that good! Her cake was so good that we were unable to keep the tradition of freezing the top layer for our 1st year anniversary. We quickly dug into the pistachio tier for a celebration when we got home from PR!! Our cake was picture perfect and was the focal point of a beautiful courtyard reception at El Convento in Old San Juan, PR. It was 4 tiered, with 4 different magnificent flavors including fresh ground Pistachio, Citric, and Cream Cheese cake w/ strawberry, tres leches, and traditional guava fillings. Our elegant design (we sent her numerous pictures to give her an idea of our vision) was simple yet had very detailed fondant work combined with a little "bling"! We met with her at her bakery 2 days before the wedding for "taste testing" and the flavors we chose via email were absolutely amazing and worked well together. Lu is very personable and friendly and has a passion and drive for perfection! As busy as she was the weekend prior to our Monday morning taste testing, she was completely prepared for us and attentive to our needs with complete focus and undivided attention. Because we planned our wedding remotely her availability/accessibility via email/phone, responsiveness, flexibility, and stress-free contract & billing process were important to me and very refreshing to not have to worry about! She worked with El Convento for wedding day set up without any of our involvement required.
We are really grateful and fortunate we found Lu and Bizcochos and look forward to eating more of her cakes in the future for wedding anniversaries, vow renewals, etc!!! Thanks Lu!!

Bizcochos by Lu was a God send. In somewhat of a last minute attempt to find a cake after another baker was not responsive, I reached out to Lu and she responded immediately. The cake we received on our wedding day was identical to the picture we provided, right down to the cake topper. Lu was extremely professional, polite, and able to deliver exactly what we wanted. Along with the presentation, the cake was absolutely delicious. Next time I have an event in Puerto Rico, Bizcochos by Lu will be the only baker I would ever consider getting my cake from.

Mi familia y yo elegimos Bizcochos by Lu para crear el bizcocho para la celebracion de los 50 años de aniversario de mis suegros. De verdad que se la recomiendo es una compañia en la que usted puede confiar pues su dueña Lumarie Rodriguez quien con mucho cariño y profesionalismo es quien se encarga del minimo detalle para que el segundo centro de atraccion que es el cake de la ocasion se lusca en la fiesta y quede como una obra de arte, ella se encargo personalmente de llevar el bizcocho el dia de la fiesta no tuvimos que preocuparnos por nada nuestros invitados les encanto el sabor del bizcocho tanto asi que hasta el chef del bakary se aguanto las ganas en preguntar quien lo preparo no dunden ni un instante en usar los servicios de esta talentosa creadora de obras de arte para deleitar no solo tu vista pero tu paladar!!! ;-)

Sari from Tropical Weddings let me to the wonderful idea of a pistachio cake. We did a two tier strawberry cake top with pistachio bottom and marscapone filling. All I can say is that there wasn't much left overs for the next day. Out of this world good. I wasn't all into the decorating piece, so I was surprised when I saw such a beautiful cake and the flavor was even better.

There was an error on the event date and when I call to inquire about the cake, we realized she had it on the schedule for a different date. She put together a beautiful cake and deliver it for the event. It was perfect!
