We got married this last month at Black Butte Ranch and could not have been happier with the day. The Black Butte Sales Manager & Event Specialist are top notch, responsive, and extremely helpful in getting the day where we wanted. Not to mention their entire team guiding the transition of the event space made our 160 person wedding a breeze. The venue's vista is unparalleled and they were able to keep the streets and walkways shoveled and travelable for our event.

We had an amazing experience hosting our wedding at Black Butte Ranch. Their staff was so hospitable to us and our party, we still hear positive remarks from our family and friends today. The space is gorgeous and modern. We really didn't need to worry about anything because they had everything there and followed the plan without a hitch. I am happy we booked the bridal suite as it made for a nice space to retreat to and store things as needed. I would highly recommend Black Butte.

Black Butte Ranch was a dream location for my husband and I's intimate elopement ceremony (12 total attendees). I had the pleasure of working with Shaina from first touring the site to finally on the day of the wedding. She was so helpful and prompted me on things I didn't even think of such as breakfast and lunch for the bridal suite while we got ready. The package that BBR puts together makes the whole process of planning so easy and once our special day was finally here, all of the employees we interacted with were so kind and helpful. I would 100% have my wedding at Black Butte again. I wish I could relive that day because of how perfect it was.

The natural beauty of the cascades over the lake and horses running in the fields, combined with the stunning architecture of the property creates a dreamy atmosphere, resulting in photographs that are nothing short of magical. (even if the clouds cover the mountains)

We knew Black Butte Ranch was going to be our venue from the moment we stepped onto the property. Shaina sold us from the jump and thereon after, we also felt extremely taken care of. They say wedding planning is a stressful process, but we never felt that was the case under Kendra's care. Kendra is attentive, thoughtful and always ensured we felt comfortable and aligned. Our vendors always expresses their love working with Black Butte Ranch and staff.

We are blown away by the experience dealing with the Black Butte Ranch team. They were professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and flexible from the beginning. The team, including Kendra and Shaina, are absolute rockstars. They are patient, flexible, and just all around great people. Also all of the service staff the day off (bartenders, servers, etc.) were amazing and very professional. The venues are all newly updated and state of the art level infrastructure with the most incredible views. Plus, the broader Black Butte Ranch infrastructure (pools, golf courses, biking / walking paths, kids playgrounds, etc.) are unbeatable. Black Butte is clearly the one of the best all in packages you could get in terms of a wedding venue and I would 10/10 recommend to anyone. And as mentioned, you can't beat the team it comes along with!

We had two events at BBR, one at the putting course and one at the lodge. Everything went great: Kendra, our contact, was very responsive and had great ideas and advices to male our events better and more fun (she suggested the putting event instead of a picnic!). Food is amazing too and BBR is generous with the portions

The wedding at Black Butte Ranch was truly an unforgettable experience, it was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism from the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, even accommodating some last-minute changes with ease. I cannot say enough about this venue and their amazing team. I was looking for somewhere with a water feature (lake/ocean) and I wanted to be surrounded by nature while still maintaining a modern feel. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find that combination until I ended up on a country-wide venue search, which ultimately led me to Oregon and Black Butte Ranch. I had never been to Oregon before but WOW. I was absolutely blown away when I first drove onto the ranch. This venue has it all: stunning fields, beautiful lakes, gorgeous snow-topped mountains, and a million activities for your guests to do. We planned a golf tournament, private mini golf session, pool party, welcome party and ,of course, our wedding all within a weekend. My guests could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was and how much fun they were having.

Shaina was amazing during the initial venue search then I transitioned to Kendra once we booked it. Kendra was responsive to all of my emails and hopped on multiple phone calls with me to answer any long-winded questions I had. BBR also did my wedding cake, which came out exactly how I envisioned it. I met with the chef during our tasting and we came up with a customized buffet menu. They made it so easy, and also accommodated our vegan guests by providing personal meals delivered straight to their seat. Our bartenders were wonderful and the staff were all so sweet throughout our entire weekend there. I really cannot recommend this venue and their team enough. A+++, 10/10, 5 stars...the works!

There are no words to describe how perfect our experience was getting married at Black Butte Ranch. From the event coordinator, vendors, lodging, things to do... Black Butte Ranch had it all. We felt well taken care of every step of the way, which is not always the easiest living out of state! Kendra and Shaina from Black Butte Ranch were so helpful, organized, and communicative. We never had to worry with any detail, big or small. All of our families and friends have raved about how amazing the wedding venue and location was. We highly recommend to any bride and groom getting married to tie the knot at this 10/10 location!

We explored many venues around Sisters and the surrounding area, and Black Butte Ranch was the perfect choice for us. Kendra and her team were super easy to work with, and she answered all our questions promptly. Our wedding day really went off without a hitch. If you are looking for a venue that has it all—catering, chairs, tables, bartenders, lodging, a water feature, and a view of the mountains—this is it! Thank you BBR staff!

Black Butte Ranch was a fantastic venue for our wedding and rehearsal dinner. We chose this location because Black Butte takes care of everything. It took all the stress out of wedding planning. Kendra and Shaina helped us through all the fine details. They took care of everything from linens to catering. The event space is beautiful and the service was amazing. This will be our anniversary spot every year.

The entire team at BBR was outstanding from start to finish! We loved our site visit with Shaina and she made the sales and contracting process easy. Then, Kendra was extremely communicative throughout the entire planning process leading up to the wedding. She was a huge support in answering our questions and ensuring we had everything we needed for the day of the wedding. Then on the day of, the entire banquets team was extremely professional and attentive. They made sure us as the bride and groom were always cared for and all of our guests were having a good time.

We couldn't have asked for a better venue and team to support our special day!

When we booked BBR for our wedding, I had the highest of hopes in working with the Ranch. Their sales team uses terms like how their wedding package is "designed to be accessible" and "fully customizable" but we had a very different experience.

Let's start with the good news--they were easily able to accommodate guest food allergies, made great cocktails, and had great bartenders and waitstaff the day of. Unless our guests had heard from me about the disaster that was the preceding 346 days and 7 hours, they wouldn't have any idea that there was an issue with the Ranch.

Here's the bad news--Kendra, Shaina, and Reid were an absolute disaster to work with and made it VERY clear that their #1 priority was siphoning as much as they could from our savings account while providing the lowest possible level of service. Our story begins with the tasting lunch--the Ranch has a tasting lunch for its couples to come and taste the food buffet-style. We planned to do a plated dinner (HIGHLY recommend, by the way) and so most of the options served were not to our liking nor a priority for our tasting. In addition, my husband is gluten free and they had NO gluten free dessert options available. We contacted Kendra after the lunch to schedule a tasting of the items that we were actually interested in trying for the wedding. Come to find out that its an extra $100, you choose a total of two items, and they expect you to come in and do that tasting midweek (for some reason they always suggested Tuesday at 2 pm for literally everything throughout our wedding planning like we don't have actual jobs to pay for this wedding??). They also won't let you taste and pick side dishes for your plated dinner, insisting that "most couples want to go with the chef's choice." I don't buy that for a second.

Let's move onto drinks. We went through what my friends and family not-so-lovingly refer to as The Great Wine War of 2024 with the Ranch leading up to the wedding. We had a wine themed wedding and even got married on National Wine Day (May 25th), and so I insisted on having nice wines at the wedding. The Ranch's standard red wine is a $7.99 bottle of Bogle Cabernet (that they charge you $36 for, by the way) and they refused to let us taste any of the nicer wines on their menu. They told us "most couples purchase those wine bottles to taste them"--well, that's plain stupid for a single taste. As a wino, I am a member of a GREAT local winery called Evoke and so I wanted them to supply the wines. As a member, I receive a 20% discount and anticipated a steeper discount from volume purchases. Kendra and Reid reached out to Evoke and told me that my price per bottle would be full retail, so I reach out to Evoke to find out what's going on and turns out that Evoke offered them a 40% discount that they were going to withhold from me and pocket (about $2k!). I fought this long and hard with Reid, their food and bev director, and he literally laughed at me when I suggested we split the discount 20%/20%. I was and continue to be disgusted with this team over how they handled this situation. In the end, Evoke gave them a 50% discount in order to get me a 20% discount--even the people who work at Evoke were disgusted with Reid's behavior and phone presence. Another thing to know here--they will legitimately serve your guests coors light as the beer unless you buy a keg of microbrews for $700/ea.

There were other things, as well. The Ranch's pastry chef left a month before our wedding and they wanted us to wait to do a tasting with their preferred wedding cake vendor 2 weeks before our wedding (um, no we need more time than that especially since the cake had to be gluten free). The morning of our wedding we also realized it would be 50 degrees outside with 50 mph winds and wanted to move the ceremony inside (literally at like 5:30 am) and was told they couldn't even though that options was in our contract. At one point they also tried to charge us 25 cents per napkin. If you want to get ready on-site you have to pay for a room. These people and their so-called policies are nonsensical and designed to extra every dime (or, rather $100 bill) from you. I'm so glad the wedding is over! Apart from being married to my husband, never having to interact with anyone from BBR ever again is the next best thing. If I could do it all over again, I would have definitely selected a different venue.

Kendra and staff were as fantastic as the view. Leading up to our wedding day Kendra was helpful answering our many questions and making sure all our details were nailed down. She was also fantastic when we had some last minute cancellations. Our day was perfect and we got so many compliments on the venue and all of the staff!

Working with Kendra and the whole team at BBR was a joy! Our wedding couldn't have gone more perfectly.

My daughter's winter wedding at Black Butte Ranch was nothing short of magical. With 75 guests in attendance, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for celebration to remember.

The picturesque snow-covered landscapes and frosted trees created a stunning backdrop for the wedding photos. The ambiance was simply enchanting. There was even a group of otters who ran across the frozen lake.

Despite the cold weather outside, the venue exuded warmth and coziness and the lighting was one of my favorites. Our guests felt immediately welcomed and comfortable in the new event space because it has great flow and I was able to greet everyone as they arrived.

Black Butte Ranch offered a variety of spaces for different parts of our celebration. From a charming ceremony space to a spacious bridal suite, we had plenty of options to choose from for seating. Each area was meticulously maintained and there was even a secret door that opened up the amazing bar.

The staff at Black Butte Ranch went above and beyond to ensure that the wedding day ran smoothly. From the initial planning stages to the day-of coordination, they were attentive to every detail and accommodating to our needs. Their professionalism and friendliness is something we keep talking about.

The catering provided by Black Butte Ranch was delicious and on point for many different tastes. Our guests raved about the quality and variety of the food, which was expertly prepared and beautifully presented.

Overall, the winter wedding at Black Butte Ranch exceeded our expectations in every way. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. I highly recommend this venue to any couple looking to create their dream wedding experience.

I grew up at Black Butte Ranch and could not think of a more special place to have our wedding. The newly designed Lodge has a beautiful event space that fits 130 people with round tables (plated meal) and a dance floor fairly comfortably. We lucked out with great weather (no smoke!) in September. Kendra came on board toward the end of our planning, and she was a great help! I highly recommend the Ranch for your special day!

We celebrated our wedding at Black Butte Ranch in early October. The new lodge is gorgeous and the setting is truly the most gorgeous and one of a kind in the Central Oregon area. We actually booked the date two years in advance because we knew we wanted to get married here! There was some shuffle with our internal contact (I think we spoke to about 3 venue contacts who disappeared over our planning process which was confusing at times) but we ended up speaking with Kendra the most as our day got closer/happened. Kendra was super helpful, kind, responsive and was a joy to work with alongside our planner! She made our tasting super special and was really relaxed and positive throughout the process. She even drove our cornhole set that we left at the venue over to us the next day before she started work! Other pros of working with BBR for your big day: the food is amazing (like some of the best wedding food I've had), the staff are super friendly and efficient (no bar lines which was important to us), base rentals included (tables, chairs, dining ware/glassware), you can stay with all of your family & friends on the ranch (we did an afterparty at one of our rented houses). Cons: 10pm hard cutoff, no live band/must use DJ, certain catering items are pricey albeit probably standard across venues and more of a wedding industry thing (cake cutting fee for cakes brought in is like $2/3 per slice, corkage fee for any alcohol brought in, price of some food items like lunches in bridal suite and coffee service are high for what you get, linens for tables are not floor length so must rent if you want a more elegant look, don't have lighting included for outdoor patio so must rent if you want to utilize that space in the evening). Overall, we loved our experience with BBR and especially with Kendra who really helped to make the day flow seamlessly!

Kendra was not only professional and "spot on" with all aspects of the wedding but an overall wonderful and warm person to work with. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening and felt as though Kendra and the entire staff at BBR were all invested in our daughter and son in law's biggest day of their lives! We had so much fun and are dreaming up ways to be able to visit Kendra and everyone now that it's over. Highly recommend to anyone considering their event at BBR. You won't be disappointed!

Our experience with our wedding at Black Butte Ranch was outstanding. It's the most beautiful venue with so many options for where the ceremony and photos can take place. We were told by numerous people that the food was the best food they've ever had at a wedding (and it was a buffet!). Our cake turned out just like our inspiration photos and was delicious. Kendra was very communicative, flexible, and accommodating to what we wanted. The price is very fair for what's included and the location; it was so convenient to have almost everything included and made wedding planning simple and enjoyable. Our guests had an amazing weekend at the property. I can't recommend this place enough!

We had so much fun planning our dream wedding with Black Butte Ranch! From our initial venue walkthrough with Shaina to the amazing staff who made everything perfect the day of our wedding. They were so accommodating and everyone who we engaged with were so pleasant, and helpful. Not to mention the ceremony location was absolutely magical with the view of the Three Sisters behind the ceremony site.
The venue price included a day-of event coordinator, complimentary menu tasting, and ceremony rehearsal. Also included was all dinnerware, flatware, glassware, tables and chairs (including ceremony chairs!)
We would like to make a huge shoutout to Kendra for always being so helpful, and so quick to respond with any questions, concerns, or requests we had during our planning process. She truly made the whole experience wonderful.
