Diana with Black Calla Events is amazing and such a talent in the florals & decor industry. My husband and I had to completely shift gears with our wedding planning due to COVID, which meant we canceled our original destination wedding and began planning an entirely different one in Washington, DC. The events/wedding coordinator at our venue had wonderful things to say about Black Calla Events and recommended I reach out to Diana because the two have worked together in the past; so I did. Diana was immediately responsive and remained so throughout our time working together. She responded to every email/text immediately and answered every question or concern I had.
Because I had already planned out florals for a tropical destination wedding, I had a little difficulty reframing my thinking about what our florals/decor should look like given we were now having a true fall wedding in the city (October 17, 2020). But Diana was extremely patient and helpful as I bounced ideas around, changed my mind here and there, and of course, tried to stay within budget. We communicated regularly via emails, text messages, and phone calls to plan out my vision, right down to the exact greenery and florals I wanted in my bouquet. I appreciated that she was respectful of our wishes to keep costs as low as possible without losing any of the integrity. I never felt pressured to choose a certain bouquet style or go with more expensive decor--she allowed me to guide her while she used her professional eye to refine my vision.
In terms of value, I think we got our full money's worth here. Florals are likely going to be one of the most expensive parts of your wedding and with that comes understanding the reality that fresh flowers are not cheap...and fresh flowers that aren't in season are also not cheap. So while we may have gone a little over budget with florals it was all more than worth it in the end!
Due to COVID (and also because I love surprises), I never saw exactly what my bouquet, hair piece (yep, she designed and created a beautiful floral headpiece that complimented my bouquet so perfectly!), corsages, boutonnières, decor, etc looked like. But when they were delivered to my suite on Wedding Day...I was absolutely blown away by how everything came together and looked 100x better than I ever imagined! I've never seen a bouquet like the one Diana created for me so that made my day even more special. I shared with Diana that I loved the rustic yet elegant look and that I really only had 2 requests for what my bouquet included: a king protea flower and pampas grass. She delivered exactly what I asked for + more!
Diana and I discussed delivery times about 2 weeks prior to Wedding Day and everything was delivered at exactly the time we agreed upon. I am so happy with my decision to work with Diana & Black Calla Events--she's such a sweet person and a true talent. If you're looking for a florist, you literally need not look any further. Thank you Diana & Black Calla Events for being such a special part of the most beautiful day of our lives!

Diana is a great person to work with for wedding florals. She is extremely responsive, always communicating promptly.
She is also very clearly dedicated to making whatever you want happen, even to the point of adding in last minute additions the week of the wedding if possible!
She coordinated delivery and setup of florals with me for multiple locations, and on the day of, Black Calla Events helped to ensure that there were no issues at all with florals.

Diana is the best! She was invaluable in helping me select colors, florals, and designs. She also made really amazing recommendations, especially when it was quite hot the week before my wedding and one of the flowers needed to be swapped out for orchids -- the orchids looked amazing and so many people commented on how beautiful they looked in my bouquet. She was kind, responsive, and on top of everything. Especially since my husband and I were planning it all ourselves and had no idea what we were doing, her expertise and consideration was so much appreciated. Fantastic Experience!
Fantastic experience with Diana! She's responsive and enthusiastic about accommodating all sorts of floral requests. We asked for altar flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and centerpieces of white and yellow flowers, and she crafted them so beautifully! Even my French bulldog got a cute collar that made him look quite festive! She delivered the altar flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages at the church for our ceremony in a timely manner, and then she and her assistants proceeded to our cocktail hour and reception site, where they beautifully adorned and accented the venues! Amazing-- Highly Recommend!
I hired Diana for my NYE wedding, and we were absolutely blown away by how amazing our venue looked. She is extremely creative and talented, and clearly loves what she does. Diana's work exceeded our expectations-- and then some! We got so many positive comments from guests about the florals and design. After only one phone call, Diana was able to capture my vision and bring it to life. She noticed every detail in my inspiration photos and was able to incorporate all of them while being respectful of our budget. A few months before the wedding, I reached out to her about some changes I wanted to make, and she was flexible, transparent, and responsive. The whole floral process was so positive and seamless as a result. I am even getting my bridal bouquet professionally preserved because I am so in love with it. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Diana and Black Calla Events. The florals at my wedding brought everything together and I was speechless when I walked into my reception for the first time. Diana brought my vision to life ten times over and went above and beyond by expectations. We used Black Calla for our September wedding flowers and we could not have been happier with the results. Diana was responsive, accommodating, creative & absolutely understood our vision from Day 1. We only chose colors and styles, not specific blooms, and put our trust in Diana to make it wonderful- she more than delivered. Whether on the phone or over email, she was a friendly and reassuring presence that we sorely needed for our planning nerves. We had some last minute scheduling issues for day-of delivery and Diana stayed personally to style the tables for us. We received so many compliments on our flowers! Diana was extraordinarily detailed. She took the time to go through multiple drafts of the arrangement, including preparing a last-minute addition to the rehearsal-dinner flowers. Beautiful colors and presentation
The flowers matched the exact colors of our wedding theme. My wife was really pleased from her bouquet, those for her Bridesmaids, my Groomsmen's boutonniers, my own, the table arrangements, and those on the arch behind us at our table. Beautiful bouquets!
We did a micro wedding package where Diana provided my bridal bouquet, groom’s boutonnière, and mini bouquet for my junior bridesmaid. All I told her to go off of was white flowers and that my theme in my head was Great Gatsby. Could not have been more excited to see her beautiful creations perfectly capturing my theme with feathers and pearls!Black Calla Events LLC's reply:

Blew our expectations away!
Diana is so wonderful to work with! In the months leading up to our wedding she was super communicative.
