I cannot recommend Black Diamond Gourmet enough! Andre answered all of our initial questions about menu options and organizing an out-of-state elopement meal and Sue was super responsive and accommodating with our last-minute requests and customizations of the menu. Everyone with BDG were superstars and were willing to work through everything with us. The food was amazing and we got so many compliments on everything. -

We loved Black Diamond Gourmet! The food was delicious, they have a huge variety of options and the service was absolutely fantastic. Leading up to the wedding, they were super helpful with making tweaks to the menu, making suggestions and even going the extra mile by noticing errors in our seating chart. They were just lovely to deal with, in addition to the food being fantastic (the chef and owner is incredibly talented). Could not recommend them more! -

Sue and her entire team at Black Diamond are incredible! They made the process from A to Z soooo easy for us. Sue very kindly met us on a weekend 1.5 years in advance of our wedding, helped us plan the entire menu and about 8 months later, we did the tasting, which was such a fun experience for us. The day of the wedding, her team showed up, had everything running smoothly and provided delicious food. In fact, all of our guests were RAVING about the food quality -- especially the bison (a treat for everyone who was out of town). Not to mention, her team was very attentive to us (the bride and groom) making sure we always had what we needed in terms of food and drink all night. Last but not least, they managed all the cleanup and we didn't have to monitor or micro-manage anything. In short, Black Diamond allowed us to show up and have the time of our lives, without having to worry about whether there were going to be any issues with the food. THANK YOU for playing such a big role in making this day so special for us. -

I used Black Diamond Catering for my wedding this summer. Sue was great to work with during the wedding planning process, as she was always quick to respond and professional. Prior to the wedding, she confirmed the food and rentals with both my planner and myself.
The food during the reception was very delicious, unfortunately the day of event staff were not as easy to work with and this impacted our reception. Of note, when we showed up to the reception, guests were drinking out of paper cups and when the wedding planner and I both independently questioned the Black Diamond staff, we were both told that glass drinkware were not on the order sheet and we must be mistaken. Over an hour into the reception, I approached the Black Diamond staff a second time and insisted that they pull up my order, to confirm there were no glasses on my order sheet. Upon reviewing my order, the Black Diamond staff finally realized that they forgot the glasses and sent one of the staff members to go get them. The glasses finally arrived part way through the reception and were mismatched and presented in a dishwashing rack, despite being told prior to the reception, by my planner, that they were missing. Also, during the lunch as soon as guests were served, the staff went and sat back at their catering van. This required guests going for a second course, to open the serving tray themselves and serve themselves. Finally, as soon as lunch was completed the staff members began removing the tablecloths, plates/silverware, and glasses we had rented from Black Diamond. We were never warned that the tablecloths and glasses would be taken away when the Black Diamond server left following the lunch, although the reception continued for many hours afterwards. It was especially infuriating when the Black Diamond server went around and replaced guest’s glasses with papers cups, after only delivering them less than 2 hours prior. Overall, we greatly enjoyed the delicious food and the service provided by the Sue prior to the wedding; however, the day of staff left us disappointed due to the many issues mentioned.
